I thought guilt motivated you to ref? :P Feeling a bit guilty is okay! Normal, even. In fact I'm a bit of a hypocrite for telling you not to feel too guilty because I feel /horribly/ guilty when I don't ref in time, but!

People have put off reffings due to lack of motivation or whatever. I think our community is pretty understanding, so if you don't want to ref for a bit, just post in the absence sheet or something. Or only take one battle at a time so you don't have to do as much/don't feel as guilty? Most of us aren't so impatient that if the ref doesn't get the battle done within the week, we'll get an aneurysm. So I think you should feel less guilty because there isn't actually that much to feel guilty for, and guilt is bad anyway!

Yeah, I understand about the English skills. :P But you could also do that writing stories, or poems, etc. Something that you can do in your own time, with no-one to please but you. Personally I don't think I'll quit reffing; there'll probably be large stretches of time when I can't ref, but quitting entirely, probably not.

If you're only in it because you feel guilty, why do you keep taking battles? I think people would understand if you quit due to time, personal reasons, etc. and told them to get e-refs - Squorn did that, and there were no complaints whatsoever.

The money should be the motivation! And you get more money if you ref faster! I mean, writing a few paragraphs every week shouldn't be that bad, right? You can do it, bulbasaur! Gogogo!
