Let me see what insomnia inspires...A little girl gave them to him, both scarf and googles. For you see, once a long time ago, when he was a pup, he was really injured by a wolf who tried to kill his father. The wolf fought because he wanted Tobé's mother as his mate and lost. But he was resentful and targeted poor Tobé. And the rogue wolf maimed him one night in the dark and left him to die near a human settlement. There he was found by a kind little girl and her parents. And she nursed him back to health. But Tobé didn't understand, because his mother always told him to run away from humans, they were scary creatures. When he fully recovered, the little girl cried, she was upset because he would have to leave. She wanted to give him something for him to remember her by, so she grabbed a scarf out of her closet and took her father's skiing googles. And that is why Tobé will never mention it... Because for the other wolves to know he cavorted with humans... it just would damage his reputation.

It's a bit of a crazy ability, though. X3 My dog's name is Sassy and I call her Skozaska. Why? Look at this progression: Sassy = Saskota = Sko = Skozaska. I also call her Sko, which branches off into Skofats and Skofugs in addition to Skozaska. I give people a million nicknames, because of the why I do things. XD

They're pretty old; certianly from sometime in '07, if not before. Yup, they have in-game counterparts (who are a bit more evolved, but drawing a female human Poliwrath would be a tad difficult), I used to draw my Pokemon teams as humans all the time. I should give it a go with my Pearl team, I guess, only humanizing Mothim and Gastrodon might be a bit tricky. X3

Okay, this is the only one I can find on my computer right now (Poliwag, Nidoran F and Sandshrew), but I think I've got a bunch more hidden away in sketchpads. Hmm...

Well, the Disney manga isn't really manga, is it? The stuff I've seen, at least, is basically a collection of stills from the movie with speech bubbles and sound effects, which isn't really the same. The Kingdom Hearts manga is good, though.

Not only is the Wizard of Oz a great story, it's absolutely awesome from a feminist point of view; it's a kid's book with a female protaonist (which never happens), a female villian, and it's set in a matriarchal society, what with Glinda the Good being a good, competent ruler, while the Wizard is really a weak old man. I adore it <33

Yeah, shipping from the US sucks, but we get everything much later than you guys, so sometimes it's worth it. The really annoying thing is that most games from the US are region-locked, so even if you import them, you can't play them on a European console.

I know there are scans, but I don't really like reading stuff online; I prefer reading manga on trains and buses and stuff, even if it is more expensive.

It's actually quite awesome how much stuff you can get managa-ized now. Most of Shakespeare's plays (the good ones), the Bible, and I'm fairly sure there's an anime version of Les Misérables somewhere.
The Oz manga was very good, and especially awesome because on the train on the way to the con I read the original book, so I'd reminded myself of all the suff that wasn't in the movie that people forget, like the deadly field of poppies and stuff. I've always liked the story of the Wizard of Oz, but I blame Wicked for my newfound obsession with it. X3

A couple of my friends love Absolute Boyfriend, but it really doesn't look like my kind of thing; I tend to stay away from the really romancey stuff.

I want to read more FMA, but I can't find it in any of the nearby bookshops. I might have to try online, which is always a pain because the postage for books is always pretty expensive.

I got Yotsuba&! volume 5, Gundam SEED 1-6, Beinzenghast (I probably spelt that horribly wrong) vols 1&2, Gravitation 7-11, Fullmetal Alchemist 1-5, Oz : The Manga (which I adore, even though Glinda's all old and ugly ;;) Legal Drug vol 1 and more I'm forgetting. I always buy as much as I can carry at anime cons because it's so cheap <3

Of those, I highly reccommend FMA, Yotsuba (obviously), Legal Drug and the story of Gravitation is cute, though the art style irks me a little.
