Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I'm okies. Finally back online for personal time ^^
Junior year has been bleh x_x
    I'm catching up though.
Hey, Zora, I don't know if you saw it or not, but since Sheila's got things like guardians going around, I wanted to ask you something.

I edited an explanation to Guardians at the bottom of my entry form, which is very long, and probably poorly organized. However.... I would like to know if you think I should take anything out, put anything in, whatever. Basically, when you've got spare time, like when the RP isn't so busy, I'm asking you to skim it for a bit. Please?
Giima's the dark-type guy. He's sort of dressed like Will if Will decided he needed less clown and more fab. (He's also got mostly female pokémon, so he's in Will and Bugsy and Saturn's squad of Pokémon That Oddly Don't Match Their Trainer's Gender.)

Yeaaaaah it's great. There's also a ferris wheel! First you go on a date with N on it, and then you can go on a date with random trainers.

You can also find WILD METAGROSS and FISH UP A DRAGONITE.

Muurando's the yooterii final. Zoroark is sort of an event-only lucario. If they don't give out the pokémon for it, though, I'll get you one and trade you it, if you want.
I've lost my carts for my games older than RS with the exception of Blue. I just had sent most of my pokémon to Stadium 2, so I still have them.

Yessss get a flashcart >D And then you can play the old games at 3x speed on a DS! Isn't it grand!

I only have patience for level-grinding against the elite four, and even there it's mostly because MAYBE I'LL WIN THIS TIME --! And then I don't.

It's a great team otherwise! I'm just devoured by Giima! (Hikaru outspeeds and OHKOs all of Shikimi's pokémon except for her shandera, which Fuji-san OHKOs, so I'm okay.)

There's a lot of random pikachu, yeah. Including this thing. You can see a giant inflatable pikachu in one of the cities and walk up to it. Sadly, you can't go through it, but there's still a lot of pikachu.

There're old pokémon, but only after the elite four! It's sort of like DPPt, only instead of that one giant island, it's the eastern half of Isshu with foreign pokémon.

    FUCK YEAH SHANDERA
The only games I've ever restarted are Red, Blue, Silver, and Ruby, and I moved everything I liked off of those files first. I just tend to hoard files, as this post demonstrates fairly well. Fuck yeah, flashcart! I've never actually played a rom on an emulator on my computer.

My oldest pokémon are from my first Blue file, so. :V And I preordered Yellow. ... So!

My team's usually roughly equally-leveled, but not quite equal. My metagross and Hikaru are usually around five levels higher than everyone else, for example, but other than that....

In Platinum, I don't think I tend to catch up on levels until the E4. It is very sad. In White, though, I was consistently <5 levels below everything else and my team is kind of hueg.

No, actually, that's a *really bad* spread. Two of the E4 types are ... ghost and dark. LOOK AT THAT GHOST AND DARK WEAKNESS. I replaced Fuji-san with Ouji-sama for a while. This was not a good idea. I also had Piandao over Mothra while Mothra was a meraruba, which was a rather better idea but still pretty bad.

I'm not sure whether I should say you should go with jarooda because shandera is *amazing*, or go with enbuoo because erufuun is adorable. Well, I'd definitely vote jarooda over enbuoo, but I am super biased in favour of shandera. THEN AGAIN repeat types are always awesome and seriously the exp formula these days makes team shuffling feasible.

    What are you planning on?
[nod] Pokémon has little replay value for me when I don't have to puzzle at what's happening, though. It's certainly nice to know wtf just happened! -- but I have gotten mostly bored with that.

You can get flashcarts online pretty easily! I have an EZ Flash Vi, and a lot of #tcod people have Cyclo DSes or whatever they're called. I also tried an Acekard 2i, but it didn't work as well as my EZ Flash V or my EZ Flash Vi. I'd recommend this one. I've bought from that site twice and it came fairly quickly and so on.

The only problem with the new EXP system is that higher-level pokémon get *less* exp, so you can't really grind one pokémon very well. It punishes you for having one pokémon you use all the time and rewards you for having a couple. I always play with a team of at least four pokémon and usually seven, though, so!

Mothra the urugamosu, Hikaru the shandera, Fuji-san the daikenki, Kokoro-tan the kokoromori, Misa-tan the desukaan, and Beru the denchura! My auxillary team members are Ouji-sama the male burungeru, Dino the zeburaika, Mii-kun the hahakomori, Piandao the morobareru, and Kurogane the haaderia (I stopped using him frequently before he evolved again).
I like being able to tell what people are saying *sometimes* but not *all the time*. There's a sense of accomplishment with the former and pokémon scripts are usually pretty corny.

Ah, see, what you should do is play roms on a flashcart. Flashcarts are AWESOME. You get to play it on the DS and you can also have a bunch of games on one cart so you don't have to carry around other cartridges. There's also a GB emulator and an SNES emulator for the DS. :D

The level 70 urugamosu is a pain in the ass to catch. It's not worth it! Just get the meraruba egg from that guy when you've got 6 badges and hatch it and level it up; they changed the EXP formula so pokémon get more EXP than usual if they're lower-leveled than whatever just fainted. And there are *wild level 70 random encounters*, and the elite four has level 70~77 pokémon round two. It took me less than ten minutes to level up a newly-hatched level 1 darumakka to level 45 and that was just on wild clefairy.

Hahakomori is pretty useful, yeah! I ditched mine around level 35 or so, though. I forget why. Mii-kun was pretty useful. I think I just ran out of plausible party space; you can get by pretty easily with ridiculous size teams (I had 12 pokémon I counted as my team by the time I got to the E4, though now I'm down to the 6 I actually carry) since they changed the EXP formula.
It's no fun if you have to keep looking things up! Only things I end up looking up are things like ... is my shandera able to outspeed my opponent's $foo? (Hikaru is not very good at taking hits. It is very sad.) Oh, and I look up movepools before doing stone evolutions. But other than that! It's just less fun if you don't understand *any* of it. Barely understanding it gets you FUCK YES I KNOW WHAT THAT GUY JUST SAID, but getting none of it just ends up kind of depressing. It's why I never got anywhere in Trozei. (My Trozei rom's in Korean.)

HEY MAN SURSKIT IS GREAT IN LITTLE CUP DON'T DISS
Well, urugamosu looks to be fucking awesome...
I don't like it! This is possibly because while I sort of liked res for a bit, he's been doing some really, really dumb things in #tcod and now I'm pretty firmly :| about it.

If you can't read at least as much Japanese as me, you will probably be very sad while trying to play through a japanese rom. :( ... Not that I can read much Japanese. ... by any stretch of the imagination. (I KNOW POKÉMON NAMES AND MOST MOVES I are competent. ... Also I UNDERSTAND ENOUGH DIALOGUE TO VERY RARELY GET STUCK.)

If it happened I would be the happiest ever. I don't even particularly LIKE surskit but surskit needs a better evolution than masquerain. Sob yet another bug/flying.
Why does everyone use hrml now :<

Bah, erufuun. HITOMOSHI AND RANPURAA ARE SO MUCH CUTER though shandera is slightly creepy. The music is pretty snazzy, though. And the game is pretty! AND THERE IS PLOT.

There is plot in a pokémon game.

    Actual plot.

    Actual character motivations.

    This is ridiculous.

Rainbows are pretty cool! I really want a SURSKIT SPLIT EVOLUTION where it turns into a base-600 Pokémon version of the final boss from Pikmin 2. Surskit + badass =
    freaking CONFIRM
    So what do you suggest?
In the meantime I'm off to tell Mike that he has to get rid of one of the sets of sprites of the Foglobe line.
"No. There can be only one set of "official" sprites for a pokémon, and whatever set the creator decides should be it is the one that people get paid for."

    That... causes a problem.
