TBH most of what I do is just hardcore clicking for the purposes of shiny hunting. buuuuuuuut that's because I've been on the site for like as long as it's been around and have accomplished pretty much everything else. I totally encourage you to poke around! There's a cute little Exploration for newbies about a Corsola~

Trinkets can be pretty fun too, but you need to click to earn the chests they show up in. And the Achievements (especially the first couple of groups) are great for giving you small goals that point you toward features you might not have poked around in yet! :D

(In all seriousness, I waste waaaaaaay too much time on it, because unlike most adoptables sites the "economy" [so to speak] is heavily focused on mass-clicking rather than playing mini games or advertising on other sites. Buuuut if you're still interested in playing, I'm happy to see you join! My favorite feature is the Explorations [under the "Explore" tab at the top or the left side, depending on how wide your browser window is], which let you do little quests to find items, Legendaries and sometimes Fakemon. My other favorite feature is shiny hunting which you won't be able to unlock for a little bit as it requires the Shine Recorder from the Shop.)

It is, but such is the quintessential design flaw of ASB.

Well, being kind of screwed when you were commanding first tends to be more or less par for the course in ASB, but I guess this could be a little too much. Still, maybe people just need to start accounting for it in their conditionals, same as Protect and whatnot. If absolutely nothing else, Struggle is always in there.

I know, right. Every other move type is basically like "here's a projectile, which you can deflect! here's a tongue of flames, which you can put out or repel! here's a punch, which you can dodge or hide from!", but then Psychic-type moves are almost all like "lol I'm in your head already nothing could have stopped me from getting in, good luck getting your referee to agree to slightly lowering the damage because you were attempting to disrupt my focus, and that's if I didn't take the precaution of standing too far away from you for that".

I saw that in LotF vs Meursault, but is it actually becoming that common? You can always just stick to projectile moves while you're trapped, although I'm aware that isn't a possibility that's available or particularly good for any Pokémon.

Eh, I'm probably the only one who's bothered, and my concern is less "this actually affects the game in negative ways" and more "this makes no sense to me and I hate reffing it". Kind of like Feint Attack making the user vanish.

Yeah, we probably should, as that's actually close to "this actually affects the game in negative ways". Besides the fact that Psychic-type moves tend to bother me ASBwise.

If I had, I would definitely not have just given Smack Down the exact same effects it has in-game.

i just took a second look at the calcs for the massive trainwreck roof battle and it looks like the only thing that clinched you getting the KO vs me was that Superbird did the weather damage all at once at the end of the round instead of bit by bit throughout

so yeah literally ref habits were the only reason you got the KO (lol)
