Open Crowning Glory

Name: Scintilla
Species: Rotom (looking to spice things up a bit)
Gender: Prefers female, although officially no gender
Age: 50
Appearance: Rotom Although she has a bit of an evil leer to her face
Personality: Scintilla is quite wise and thoughtful, but is angry that she has been deprived the privelage of having the title of Legendary Pokemon. She truely wants this black dragon gone for good, and to continue with the interrupted ceremony.
Bio: As said before, Scintilla was a Rotom and angry at the black dragon (whom she has her suspicions is a shiny Rayquaza), who she plans on getting rid of and resuming the ceremony to be considered a Legendary. As she is a Rotom and therefore a ghost, she has relatively no social life and the ceremony that was stopped is just about the only thing worth mentioning in her life. She still calls herself a Legendary even though it was stopped before she could officially earn the title.
Other: Narharhar, I joined before you could start >8D

Name:Gust
Species:Drifblim
Gender:Male
Age: 513 In Human Years (He is a ghost)
Appearance:Normal exept that the "X" is much, much bigger and is red
Personality: Gust is a pessimist. He usaly never talkes to anybody he dosn't know personaly. He will shun you if he dosn't like you or your friends. But once you get to know him he isn't such a bad person. He is actualy a very kind and caring person, he just likes to keep up a good image
Bio: As a child, Gust loved to play practical jokes on other drifloons in a big group that he used to fly in in. He was a trouble maker and got in lots of trouble. So much trouble that the other pokemon Gust traveled with left without him one day while he was sleeping. Gust leared to not be such a trouble maker alone, by himself. One day, he stumbled on a book, all on the legandary Crowning Glory and the vally in the sky and became imidietly insterested in it. There for he knows most legands and myths associated with it.
Other: He usaly carries around the book he found in his hand...claw...thing

((Hmmm...interesting. I hadn't anticipated that. I should add to the rules that legends are unusable. But Rotom...yes, this will certainly make it all the more interesting. Curse you for appearing while I was watching Digimon! =P Start wherever, so long as we meet up sooner or later. Both Accepted but Yanmega, please use Spell Check. Your post is painfully annoying to read. Keep in mind that I can ban you from this one thread if your spelling keeps up, as it is ranked LIT.))

Well, it's now or never.

A figure rose from the dark and abandoned building. Smoky white eyes scanned the area. When the creature decided that the coast was clear, it leaped. Onto the torn couch, on the table, and out the open window.

My quest may be impossible...perhaps it doesn't even exist. But if it does, I must find it. I'll search every region, every country, every city. I only want to catch a glimpse.

The figure dashed about, using the cover of shadows to ensure that she wasn't sighted. Anyone would probably pay a large sum of money for a strange-looking Leafeon like her. Regardless, she was bent on her private mission. She was an explorer, a loner, a wanderer. She had no home. But now she had a goal. The old legends told of some kind of sacred valley. She had nothing going for her, so she figured she might as well look for it.

But where do I start? I'm in Jhoto...this region's start for trainers is Newbark, I think. I should head there.

(Shoot, you started before I could post. *Dashes in*)

Name: Anya
Species: Raichu
Gender: Female
Age: Around sixteen in human years.

Appearance: Looks pretty much as any other of her species would, except that the brown patches over her paws (just her hands, not feet) are somewhat extended; they cover nearly all of her arms. She's also quite a bit smaller than would be normal.

Personality: Anya is quite shy and often nervous, creating extra amounts of static when uncertain and unintentionally making her fur oddly fluffy. Though she has difficulty with meeting new Pokemon, once she has familiarised herself with someone she can become friendly and very loyal.

Bio: She was born into a group of electric Pokemon a long way away (she never really cared to find out where exactly) but mere weeks after she hatched there was some kind of attack on the group. She and her brother had fled, and spent time traveling together while she was still young. Not long after she evolved for the first time, the brother disappeared and she hasn't seen him since. Since then she has traveled on, alone, and evolved once more.
Other: Um, nothing else, I think.

Xhan wiated patiently for an opening. Azalea didn't seem to want him to get out of the little alley he was in. He had to make a distraction. He blasted a house with an Aura Sphere, hoping no one was hit. As everyone ran over to the house, he ran out, heading East. New Bark Town was the closest way into Kanto. He had liked Kanto when he had last visited there. But he wanted to see Mt. Silver. Every bit of it. But, unfortunately, he'd have to pass through Cherrygrove. "I hate cities." He said to himself.

OOC: Hang on... Can I edit my Bio to say Kendrack lived in the Ilex Forest? It seems this is going to take place in Jhoto, and I'd said he lived in the Eterna Forest. Unless there's something I missed about the setting of this RP?

Scintilla had been floating around the Sky Tower for a while in an attempt to get to the top. She had her suspscions that a shiny Rayquaza had thwarted the Rotom species in getting the title of legendary, and was looking to see if this was where he lived.

Gust floated dantily while reading his book. He was reading chapter 7 "What happens at the Crowning Glory" When he bumped into a rotom at the sky tower. "Hey wach where your-" Gust paused. "Hey wait... your the new legandary species congatulations! It says in my book it says "Year(Blank) In the month of(Blank)day(Blank)Rotom will be Crowned legandary... Or so I have read

Vanilla was at the farm, organizing her milk bottles. She wanted to make sure that there were none that were not neatly placed.
When one almost fell down, she caught it, and placed in on a lower shelf, removing the Moomoo Milk in its way. She shook it, then tossed it. She didn't want to sell milk that wasn't fresh. She sold one to a passing Marill, then continued organizing.

Sling flew through Cherrygrove City (?). He loved to fly around Cherrygrove; it always had a sweet aroma to it, plus there were plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. He landed atop the Pokemon Center. Sling buzzed happily and lied down to take a rest.

((Sure you can. This certainly does take place in Jhoto. This part, at least. But we're explorers, so...And Yanmega, Gust can be knowledgeable in the legends of the valley, but he must believe they are only legends, nothing more. And PLEASE use a spell checker now. Three more warnings and you will be banned from participating in this RP, Yanmega. Anyone here can know as much as you want, as long as your characters believe that they are simply folk tales. You are to believe that the legendary Pokémon don't even exist. Until you meet Scintilla, that is.))

It was dark. But that didn't matter, Wisp had lived in the darkness for so long that moonlight was as good as daylight to her. She could see every move that the few people who stayed out so late had made. It was nighttime and as such, not many humans were around, even if this was the all-too-famous Goldenrod City. Everyone had to sleep some time.

But she still waited. It wasn't that Wisp didn't like humans, it was more that she was afraid to trust another human ever again. She had been through too much already. But she wasn't complaining; her suffering had been the reason she decided to become a wandering Pokémon. She had adapted to her lifestyle so well that she believed it was how she was meant to live in the first place.

Finally, a time came when only one or two humans were still up and about. Wisp saw her chance and darted south, knowing that Ilex Forest was in that direction.

First it's the forest...then that little town with the Slowpoke Well. I've never been there before...I wonder what it's like.

But it's not as if I'm there to socialize. I'm only passing through to see if the legends are more than fiction. I have nothing better to do anyway.

So she ran and ran. She easily slipped by the gate into the forest, what with the sleeping guard at his desk. She dashed through the woods, staying in the darkest places possible so that she was not sighted. Though she still was wary, Noctowl and Hoothoot had the same sharp vision she did, after all.

((Beware my long post of doom!O_o))

Xhan walked calmly. He wasn't tired, and he could see just fine... Well, not really 'see', but he could tell where he was going. Once it got dark, he just closed his eyes and began sensing Aura. But rocks and trees were a problem. He opened his eyes, and saw nothing. "I'd better get some light." He created an Aura Sphere, as the moon wasn't enough. He played with it while he walked, when he saw just what he didn't want to see. A human, who was looking for Pokemon that are around at night.
"Oh, wow! I've never seen a Pokemon like you before!" He pointed at Xhan.
"Why don't you get out of my way?" Xhan was getting irritated.
"No, way! You talk? Your mine! Go, Quilava!" The flames on the Quilava's back were providing decent light.
"You wanna' dance?" Xhan fired his Aura Sphere, and hit the Quilava in the face.
"Ember!" The trainer yelled.
Xhan dodged easier than he had expected. This Quilava couldn't be that low of a level, but this was ridiculous! Xhan ran in towards the Quilava, and hit him with a Force Palm.

Vanilla noticed it was dark out. She took a bottle of her Moomoo Milk, and began to add chocolate syrup (if that exists in these games). The Miltank stirred it and took a sip. "Too bland," she said, and added another teaspoon. She mixed it up and drank a bit of it. "Yum! Just right!" She finished her chocolate milk, and fell asleep on her belly. It always helped her go to sleep, even though it was full of sugar.

The Pidgey was there, straight ahead. He didn't need his eyes to see it. Just one inhaling breath told Kendrack all he needed to know: its position, its distance from him, and most importantly it's lack of a fear-scent. The little bird had no idea he was there. Within a few moments, it would be his meal.

Almost... the Mightyena thought, his mind racing with the all-too-familiar procedure. He would jump at it, too fast to see or flee from. His calculations of how far and how near the Pidgey was had to be perfectly exact. Otherwise, he would go hungry tonight. A few seconds more, he waited in silence, making sure of himself. ... ... ... Okay... Now!

But, the lunge never came. All of a sudden, the Pidgey screeched and flew up in alarm. Surprised, the Mightyena cursed quietly under his breath and rose from the bushes. He looked to the let, to the right. He inhaled. There! Another Pokemon on his territory. A Leafeon. Female.

"Halt!" he growled in a deep tone, trying to make himself as intimidating as possible. Kendrack did not take kindly to those who ruined his hunt. In a flash of moonlight, he saw her standing there. A Leafeon indeed. "Where are you going, and why are you in my area of the forest?"

((Character-Interaction, yay! This could be a chance to get them to meet or travel...))

She considered not answering, but she was, after all, invading this Pokémon's territory. And she had, apparently, ruined his meal. It's not like he would ask to be friends. That was the last thing she needed. Another so-called "friend".

"My name is Whisper, and I am only passing through to get to Newbark Town. If you wish, I can easily get you another snack. If you only knew the darkness as I did..." Wisp's voice remained clear, though very soft and smooth. She stood there calmly, observing the Mightyena.

Since when did I talk to random Pokémon that pop up unexpectedly? That's very unlike me.

But...this one seems different. Sure, any old Mightyena would complain about Pokémon invading their territory. But his eyes...there's something. He's different, I can feel it.

Kendrack let his snarl and air of hostility fade, but kept his glare of anger held firmly at the Leafeon.

"You believe I don't know the darkness?" he asked coldly, his head bent low as to reveal his horns. "Darkness is my only companion in a world of loneliness. While all life has given me is torture and cruelty, darkness gives me peace and security." The Mightyena paused for a moment, tilting his gaze to meet hers.

"And I hunt by myself, for myself, and with myself," Kendrack added simply. His pride would never allow him to accept prey from another Pokemon. "With myself and the aide of the shadows..."

Xhan jumped back and watched the Quilava fall to the ground, unconsiouss. "Anything else you want from me?" He asked the trainer.
"Uh, no! Of course not! I'll just go... around you!" The trainer ran to Azalea, to get his Quilava to the Pokemon Center.
"That was easier than expected." He let out a loud ywn. He knew that even though the battle had been easy, he was tired. He found a comfy spot in the brush, and fell asleep.

Wisp sighed and replied, "Yes, you know what darkness is. You live in it. You've seen the darkness as your only comfort when death is glaring right into your eyes, into your very soul. You've been scarred by something relating to humans, and you resent them for every ounce of pain you've suffered. But yet you live and you sometimes question your purpose in this world. As everyone else does, we too have a purpose. I myself have not yet discovered what mine is. But I feel a strange calling to seek out the legends told of in ancient folk tales. Perhaps that is what I am meant to do. And perhaps I will never know. What I do know is that living alone and traveling the world, though it is quite exhilarating, and pleasant to not be bothered by lesser beings, makes me feel as though I am lacking something. I have set out to find what it is that can complete me."

Is it really safe to be making such assumptions in the presence of such a powerful-looking Mightyena? I know he is different than other Pokémon in some way...it's not just his horns, though they are quite strange. But what makes it safe to be speaking as I had? Who's to say he won't be enraged and attack at any moment?

Hold on...what is this? Fear? It's impossible. I have nothing to fear because nothing is exactly what I have.

With that, Wisp turned, crouching, ready to leap into the shadows and escape from this unexpected confrontation.

"Wait," Kendrack found himself saying suddenly.

He was confused, surprised, and interested all at the same time. How did this Leafeon know so much about him? It didn't make sense... But her words inspired him. They made him want something. And while he was not sure what that something was, he knew he would not find out if he remained here catching Pidgies his whole life.

Who is this Pokemon? And what is the meaning of her words? There was, indeed, only one way to find out.

"I'll go with you."
