• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Crowning Glory

Figaro was standing infront of a tree in Newbark Town. He wasn't sure what for but he got stuck staring at it. His marble like eyes gawked at the barked before he reluctantly tackled it. He felt like it was challenging him and lowered his long ears when he saw the damage done.

'Milena wouldn't have liked that...No-no. Milena would get me for this.So sorry tree.'

He lowered his head in shame but shook off the feeling that made his tummy churn and pounced upon a Rattata that he saw trip and fall. He grinned at his successful reflexes but felt the need to let it escape. He stretched and went by the entrance. There was a clear view of the sky from there.

"Wow...pretty."

Wisp turned to face the fearsome Mightyena. She simply stood there for quite a while, thinking of something to say in reply. She finally settled with, "Catch me if you can." And with that, she turned and walked slowly off into the dark shadow of two trees. However, after a while, it seemed as if her paws were sinking into the ground; as if she were descending upon a staircase and the ground was simply an illusion. Wisp continued until she was no longer visible in any way, except for a wavering shadow seen gliding across the floor.

Figaro heard movement just outside and let his jaw hang open as if tasting the air or the presence he had felt. He saw the Mightyena that was his partner in patrolling the border and leaped right passed him. When he found himself in the dark he used Flash to help see and realized he wasn't alone.

"He-hello. Are you lost?" He managed to say before an ear twitched and he turned staticy. He shook himself off and asked again, "Are you okay?"

Scintilla puffed up with pride at the Drifblim's words. "Indeed, I am a legendary." She stil preferred to call herself a legendary.

It was night. Sling was in the Route between New Bark and Cherrygrove. He saw a Lucario walking away from a trainer who was walking in the opposite direction. He flew down next to it. Maybe it'd be friends with him.

"Hi!" Sling said happily.

The figure was a wounded Stantler. She had been injured from hunters.

"Get up. Come on!" He tried to lift her but he was too small and found himself stuck beneath her. She snorted and kicked put squealed in pain before passing out.

"Uh-oh." He couldn't move. O_O;

Vanilla waited for more customers at her shop. She never had many, but luckily she always had something to do. She removed two more bottles off her shelf, then went outside for some fresh air.

The Jolteon whined and squirmed but the Stantler's dead weight had broken his front left leg. He was afraid that he'd die here with the Stantler.

Kendrack did not say anything more. He took his opportunity to follow the Leafeon, paws patting against the damp forest earth. Immediately his mind was ablaze with questions and thoughts. What would he get out of following her? And why did he feel he needed to do so? Of course, there was no way to tell for now. But somehow, the Pidgey he'd been after seemed less important than ever.

Xhan drowzily opened his eyes. He was tired as it was. "What do want?" He couldn't tell wat Pokemon had spoken to him. He had fought well, but late at night was late at night.

Wisp continued in her current form, as a shadow zooming across the ground. However, after a good hour or two, she resurfaced and began walking as her solid form again. Not a minute later, the forest began thinning and there was another gate, similar to the one Wisp had entered through. She glanced back at Kendrack and wondered how she'd sneak through with him.

She decided to test her luck and stepped warily into the building. There he was. The guard, sitting behind his desk. Since his head was laid on his desk, Wisp assumed he was asleep. She dashed across the room and silently exited through the other wide-open door to come to a small, quiet village.

This is Azalea? It's smaller than I thought. Oh well, I should keep going.

Wisp surveyed the area and decided that it was safe, so she calmly stalked across the town.

He struggled to but found the only way to get up was to send heavy voltage into her body to make her move.

"So sorry." He zapped her with Spark and she flopped off of him and landed on her back. After that he knew she was dead. He moaned a little and burried her before limping back to town. He collapsed by the border and blacked out.

"Azalea...?" whispered Kendrack, just loud enough for the Leafeon (who still hadn't given him her name) to hear, but no louder. The fur on the back of his neck began to stand up as he glanced around. Buildings. Dwellings of the kind who destroyed his life... The foul reek of human scum filled the air, and with every breath the Mightyena felt more and more uncertain. Of course the Leafeon had implied they would be passing through human settlements. He just hadn't fully grasped the concept until now...

Somehow, though, he was aware there was no turning back. And he could also not reveal his fear to this Pokemon. He had to appear in control, strong, worthy... not cowardly. So, swallowing his age-old fear, Kendrack hunched how and proceeded to follow the Leafeon with his expression as unreadable as he could make it.

Why am I doing this...? Perhaps there is something more to it all. The strange urge to discover what still persists. And so, I must go...

Vanilla decided to wander a bit. She went back into her shop and put the Closed sign on the door, and picked up a bag. The Miltank placed six MooMoo Milks in it and exited her shop, heading towards Ecruteak. It was a long route, but she was able to make it before stopping to rest on Route 38.

Wisp continued through the town, stopping at the Slowpoke Well. She stared at it for a moment before continuing on to reach a rock formation that was too short to be considered a mountain. Nonetheless, there was an entrance to a cave not too far from where Wisp was standing.

I remember this cave, though I don't remember what it's called. And I also remember that, if you go around it, you'll reach a small sea inlet. Then I just have to follow the shore...I think that leads me to Cherrygrove City.

Wisp waited for Kendrack to catch up, then she announced, "It's easier and it's a shorter distance if we go to Cherrygrove City by following a nearby sea inlet and going through the forest. That way, no trainers and no Violet City to pass through. My name is Whisper, by the way." Then she turned again and rushed off, trailing around the cave and through some trees until she smelled salt water.

Once the sky grew dark, storm clouds made their way across the sky. Rain poured down over New Bark Town. Figaro was soaked and when he woke up from the cold rain, he electricuted himself from releasing sparks from his fur. He let out a sharp cry out in pain and stood there shaking. He limped to the nearest shelter there was. It was in an alley underneath the roofs that stuck out.

"Well, I'm trying to sleep. I've got a full day of traveling ahead of me tomorrow. Come if you want, but I'm going to sleep again." He felt a few drops of water on his head. ""But... I think I'll need better shelter." He needed light. He had to know what Pokemon was talking to him. It's not that it was too dark, as he could see just fine. But he was so tired, everything was a blurr. He created an Aura Sphere, adding more light to the area. A Yanma.

Vanilla felt a raindrop on her nose. Drat... rain. She took cover under a tree with wide branches and fell asleep, her Thick Fat keeping her warm. The rain drummed on the ground outside, causing a soft noise that lulled her to sleep.
