Open Dreams of the Past

Skaldia moved, and winced. "Aching." she said accusingly. "Some healers you are, compared to the Pokemon Centers you once had... But it might heal, if I give it a century or two." Slowly shifting, she struggled to get to her feet properly, not enjoying the prospect of walking all the way out of the city, and finding a cave on foot. "I'll be helpless for weeks now." She would have been much worse off without the sling, but there wasn't even a trace of gratitude in her voice. "I won't be able to fly or fight for months, probably." With a bitter look at all the humans, she managed to get herself properly upright, and coughed once. "Has your beloved leader dashed off and gotten killed? You all look properly worried. Feh. Humans; a waste of time. Even Lance wasn't good enough."

Rasu watched the Aerodactyl dully and heaved another deep sigh.

She was used to this sort of behavior, a sharp ungrateful cold tongue, uncaring. In fact, the Aerodactyl sort of seemed like a Pokémon version of Mourmedy. Or at least, what Mourmedy used to be.

She... she no longer was Mourmedy. A completely different person had taken her place, a person who let their emotions control them. The old, level headed Mourmedy would've never done such a thing... Nor would she have enjoyed commanding a Pokémon.

Rasu felt like she didn't even know her any more.

Mourmedy... Mourmedy was always human, she supposed. She just... always thought of her as someone perfect, almost robotic in manner. But she was a normal person, with normal problems, just like the rest of them...

It was Rasu's job to help her. Because right now, Mourmedy definately needed it.

"I'm not going to just stand here and let her get killed... Jordan, bring me the BG, Model3."

One of the scientists nodded and rushed out of the room.

She needed to be well-prepared for this one...

Sinar carefully slipped past the fight. It snatched the shining pistol off the ground and briefly examined it. Human ingenuity out to ruin the world., it said to the downed human, before wandering off, taking the weapon with it. Sinar soon tracked down Skaldia, who seemed only vaguely better on sight. I cannot blame anybody, really., Sinar thought to itself. Sinar then saw more humans, more unfamiliar ones, apparently preparing something, though what exactly would require some more serious mental probing, something Sinar did not have time for. It held up the gun as it entered the room, though only vaguely familiar with it's operation, not that it intended to shoot. I've had to think now, what would happen if humanity put it's minds towards peaceful means, rather than... this. I'm not sure if the woman should be saved now, one human dies, and she is determined to destroy them, the slumbering Pokemon. At least, the Dusknoir. I believe this is how turmoil starts. You can stop this here., Sinar told everyone in the room.

"heh, heh, heh. Pathetic."

Zrantox prepared another Dark Pulse, and floated toward the defeated human.

"I never thoguth that putting an end to you would be this easy," he said, "But I guess you humans are all weak. Ah, it's just as well. Soon, there will be one less filth for me to deal with."

The Dark Pulse was now at full power.

"TIme to end it."

Finally, Ancea could see the top. She would rest there. Continuing on her journey, she used all her strength to jump from ledge to ledge, collapsing as she reached the top.

Rasu looked at the Solrock, her eyes frantic and impatient.

"I don't have time for this."

It was simple and to the point, she definately didn't have time to deal with more Pokémon right now and she certainly didn't have time to listen. What could it do that she hadn't seen? Bluffing, it was bluffing, it probably had no idea how to even turn on the gun. And if it hadn't, well, then they would all be screwed, pure and simple. But she just had to take that risk. Because right now, only one thing mattered...

That Dusknoir had probably already blasted Mourmedy to smithereens... But she had to make sure!

"Get the others! Quickly, now! Tell them to bring any weapon they can find!" The woman said to the rest of the scientists, who frantically scrambled out of the room.

Being the leader... she sort of liked it...

No, not now! That would be later... right now, Mourmedy would have to be saved!

When they had all returned, Rasu and the others, now armed with weapons, ran past the Solrock, completely ignoring it.

...But what if it was all hopeless?

------------
So this was the end...? Being called pathetic, demeaned in such ways... It disgusted her. Being called filth by filth itself. And that idiotic Solrock... mocking her even more. Evil beasts, evil. When they saw suffering, they did nothing to prevent it... but scoffed.

She hated Pokémon. And now she was sure of it, her hatred for those bloodthirsty beasts burned with the intensity of several suns.

They had ruined her life... and now they would disgrace her death.

No, dammit! She wasn't going to go this easy! Move, body, move!

And summoning all the determination and rage she held within herself, she heaved her injured body slowly up into a rather shaky standing position. Her side began to ache and groan with pain as she tried to stand up tall, but she didn't flinch and she certainly didn't care.

Because if she was going to die, then that savage freak was going to go down with her. With her down into hell that it had probably crawled out of.

...There was only one option... But had she had it on her person? Please... please... she needed to have packed it with her.

Carefully reaching into her white coat with good arm, she dug around for a few seconds, before retrieving another shining weapon...

The revolver gleamed even in the dull, lightless city. Gleamed with the light of hope, with the light of good.

"I'm not dying until I take you down with me..." She held down the trigger, charging a blast that she hoped would finally put an end to this horrible evil... Mourmedy watched it charge up its Dark Pulse as well...

This... this was probably foolish. She knew that it would probably fire its Dark Pulse right as she fired the blast and that it would cause a massive explosion...

But this had to be done. The city would be better off with only a small portion of it (she was sure, or at least hoped, that this explosion would cause no casualties) destroyed than that thing running amuck.

Mourmedy released the trigger.

...Nothing. It was out of energy...

For a moment Zrantox was surprised at how the human would be able to stand, after what had happened to her. And when she broguth out the weapon, he was even more so surprised... until he saw how it did nothing.

"Hah, hah! How very futile. Did you really think that your puny weapons could stop me? How very stupid."

He then grabbed the huamn and slammed her into the wall.

"Now hold still, I'll make it as painful as possible. Prepare to join your dead comrade."

The forces that told Sinar it had to unearth the powerful Pokemon told it not to let them kill them either, and Sinar thought. There was a small chance the Dusknoir, a ghost, wouldn't be harmed by the ordinary looking weapons. And yet, the forces wouldn't let Sinar take that chance. It was time to throw everything into it. Sinar flew into the middle of the group of humans running to try and kill the Dusknoir, knocked one down, and then exploded with all it's might. As the world seemed to go down in a flash, it blacked out.

The explosion was massive.

Rasu and her comrades were thrown aside, like rag dolls, their weapons flying out of their hands. Most of them were knocked unconscious, including Rasu...

The last of Mourmedy's energy had been drained, she too was blown away by the explosion, letting the darkness of sleep consume her... Yes, how good it was to forget... Sleep, sleep, she thanked it. Maybe... maybe she would finally not have to think anymore...

The smoke cleared, and revealed Zrantox- unharmed.

It's a good thing that Explosion's a normal type move, or I wouldn't be here right now

Still, this was an interesting mvoe that they made. Surveying the area, he could see other human unconscious. At least one had to be dead.

He did notice another female though-one who he was sure had been in the cave wiht the "champion".

So what to do? That explosion would bring more humans to the building, and as mcuh as he liked the idea of killing them all, why do that when there was a better plan in mind...

Turning invisible, the Dusknoir floated over to the unconsious female. He noted that she was carrying another... thing. Somethign about this one though...

Just didn't look right.

Ah, well. No matter

Zrantox fired a low powered shadow ball at the strange thing, causing it to come apart.

Now then, on to my unfinsihed buisness...

At the sound of the explosion, Qua rushed into the building. He saw nothing except unconcious humans.

What could have caused this...?

What was this, hmm?

The explosion seemed to have captured the attention of a most curious creature. She blinked twice, her feral eyes gazing deeply in the direction from which smoke seemed to be coming from.

And she slinked closer to the smoke... closer and closer. The creature seemed drawn to it.

She was a dark, caninesque creature, yellow eyes glinting maliciously. Her long dark fur ran near seemlessly down her back. Well, not so much seemlessly as... insanely. Haphazard curls seemed to be in every direction...

The curly haired Mightyena looked onwards curiously, not knowing whether she should get involved or not...

"Wanna check it out?" Asked a girl, a rather young human girl, whose brown eyes discerned the Mightyena from long squared spectacles.

Atnura looked at Charcill curiously, she and the young girl were a rarity in these world where Pokémon and human were torn apart. The two of them were friends, the best of friends...

"I don't think we should... it looks dangerous."

"Dangerous! Pfft..." The girl scoffed, laughing. "C'mon, let's go try our luck!"

And Charcill ran towards the city, with the sighing Atnura following her...

--------
Mourmedy, Rasu, and her entire group were still unconscious.

The Pokémon and human walked not even past the entrance before spotting this eyesore of a scene.

A building nearby was very battered. Shreds of rubbish were littered everywhere. And there were a bunch of people... unconscious.

"Whoa... whut happened 'ere...?" Charcill looked to the Dusknoir and Tyranitar, who seemed to be the only conscious ones on the scene.

Atnura growled, gazing at the Ghost-type and the Tyrannitar... it sure was suspicious... wasn't it? Oh, but Charcill wouldn't realize this... she never was one to put two and two together.

(Since all my characters are unconscious, Stormy said I could introduce some more characters into the mix~)

(Explosion's a nasty move, isn't it? XD If you keep using them, you might want to write up an application of some sorts.)

Finally, Ancea made it to the peak of Mt. Moon. It actually wasn't all that high. She gazed down at the route before her, and, just beyond it, Pewter City. She could probably find some human to take her in there, since that was where the museum was. Leaping down onto the next ledge, Ancea started to make her way down the other side of the mountain.

(Christ, I keep screwing these things up. ;;Fixing;;

Also Stormy, I think maybe I will write an application... We'll see where these two characters go.)

Skaldia heard something she hadn't for a long time; it was the attack most Pokemon dreaded. Explosion. Head snapping up, she made her awkward way to peer at the next room, well back in case something decided to attack her. There was a Tyranitar nearby, the one who had been in the chamber as well, and with a caw of impatience, she turned to him. "Do you have any ideas of what just happened? With the smoke, I can't see a thing!" she demanded, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

The Aerodactyl wasn't about to rush in - rush, being metaphorical of course, since she was grounded - and enter a battlefield when crippled. "Are the humans dead? And where's that blasted, annoying imposter who dragged me here?" She wanted Mourmedy to survive, if only to prove just how wrong the human was. Not to mention that Rasu deserved living for a bit longer. The others could all die of neglect, it was just those two she wanted to keep on living. Though the imposter didn't seem like the type to give up on life, even with this mess. Some voices caught her attention, and she waddled a bit closer, eyes narrowing. Was that a Mightyena? And - She hissed menacingly, taloned feet gouging the floor as she sighted the Dusknoir. Oh, he was going to die, and very painfully once she could fly once more.

Charcill blinked, her rather clueless spectacled eyes gazing at the Aerodactyl with curiosity at her question.

"Well, if ya wan' me to check, I'll go 'n check. I'll go 'n check if'n they're dead, uh-huh." The young girl had a rather simplified way of speaking, even for a teenager. She seemed to be a rather simple person overall, to stay so calm in such a situation which she knew little about and to go offer to check without so much as a thought.

...Atnura knew this wasn't a good idea.

"Charcill... stay away from the unconscious humans." She said this almost like an exasperated mother, trying to keep her child from doing something stupid. The Mightyena was used to this, Charcill didn't give much of her actions thought.

And of course, she didn't listen. The young teen walked over to the woman wearing the long white coat and touched her wrist. She could feel a soft pitterpatter between her fingers. Atnura watched in suspense, half-expecting Mourmedy to rise and try to attack her.

"Well, this'um seems fine..." Charcill then went over to another woman and inspected her in the very same way. She touched her wrist... no pitterpatter. The girl frowned, moving her fingers around the second woman's wrist. Still nothing. She tried checking every conceivable spot on Rasu's body where there could be a heart beat, but... nothing.

"Uhh... well, I think... I think she's uh, dead. Yeah."

Zrantox was about to blast down apr tof the walll of the building when movement cuahgt his eye.

He saw a Mightyena and the vague outline of a human else examinging the wreckage.

Well, that's interesting. I'm surprised that a human would come here after a big explosion. But they are stupid creatures.

I'd kill her here and nwo fi it weren't for that Mightyena. I will have to bdie my time here. Rushign in aggresively... hasn't gotten me very far.

"I don't know what happened," said Qua. "But whoever caused something will pay.

"Zrantox. I wish to destroy the traitor."
