I play Emerald. Twas my brother's, then I took it, then he forgot about it, so I might restart it.
 
I can't wait! ^^ RSE was my first gen...though I don't really play them anymore unless they are on a emulator...I like speeding through. XD
 
I don't think they'll make remakes for a while yet personally. As long as the third generation games are still technically compatible with Black and White, there isn't that much point (besides money grabbing). With Gen. 1 and 2, you couldn't get those Pokemon in the newer games. Though if they do make remakes, I have to agree with Alvyren.

You also have to wonder if they'll remake FR/LG?

They're only compatible if you have a dinosaur DS. The last three iterations (including 3DS) are not, so I wouldn't really claim they're compatible still. Also I would really like a Hoenn game with modern mechanics as it was my favourite region. At any rate, FRLG and HGSS came out during their respective games' 10-year anniversaries.

@ Ampharos: if you follow that logic we didn't need HG/SS, either. In combination with FR/LG and Pokemon XD, you could every single pokemon generations 1-4 in your fourth Gen game. (At least, I think it was XD, it might have been a different console game that was out at the time.)
 
:( I still have a gba. its A needs to be pressed hard, but I can operate it enough to play a pokémon game on L=A with one hand.

I was saddened when start and sel were move to the other side of the DS.
 
i still use my sp for gameboy games because both (read: mine and my sister's) ds have problems, my sis' is the original kind with a broken hinge and dim lighting and my lite has a broken hinge, problematic l/r buttons, and right and up buttons that absolutely refuse to function unless you hurt your thumb trying to push them down. i suspect that the reason that the right/up buttons (and /only/ the right/up buttons) won't work is because i speed through kirby so fast... when all kirby is is running to the right and jumping

The third generation...
it brings back good memories. My first pokemon game i played was ruby when i was eight.
The third generation is awesome! regis, gorudon, kyogre, rayquaza.
It was so fun.
I wonder if they'll make a rse remake
 
I use my gameboy advance cartridges as poorly structured coasters, with bad surface area. Only emu for abandon-ware. My friends always say, "Hey Nick, what are these brightly colored, structurally retarded coasters that we are resting our alcoholic beverages on? They interest me in a strangely perverse way that only mammary glands do."

You wouldn't catch me playing gen 3 for anything. In fact, i quit playing when i got ruby because it just didn't have the same awesomeness that the previous versions had. You couldn't use older pokemon. I did replay it once, but that was because I hacked the game as a ROM on computer and redid everything so i could start with pokemon i wanted and catch them early on. Then I got to play through and rather enjoyed it, since I could take a Squirtle with me and not a stupid Mudkip. I hate mudkips! XD
