Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Coloursfall

THIS IS HOW WE BLEED
It is dark.

It is also wet.

It was very probably not wet (though probably dark) when you fell asleep. You also were...not in the middle of a forest clearing with a group of other people, all dressed only in simple white clothing, and no shoes. The sky above is twinkling with stars, and the trees around remain perfectly still, not a breeze at all, not a sound. The grass is short, soft, and damp.

There are several paths around you; at least two leading out from the clearing. There are signposts mounted at each path, through the words on each sign are written very small and cannot be read from a distance.

You have no idea how you got here, but...you really want to get home.

---

let the games begin

"This... is strange, to say the least. I vote we follow one of these paths, what do you guys think?
And look for some decent clothes and some shoes as well"

Chisai sobbed softly. She knew this had to be some kind of dream....right? She noticed someone speak up.

"I...I think we should take the path closest to the left." she said,

This place was so... real. It was unnerving. Dreams were nothing compared to this place... "The left path? Alright... I'll agree to that. We should stay together."

Emlyn blinked. How did he get here?

"Left path, because you guys said so.
I just want to get out of here."

Hmm.

Her dark eyes watched them silently, as she hovered quietly and awkwardly in the background, standing some feet away. She didn't want to get too close or somehow she might make a fool of herself. And that wouldn't do at all. So she said nothing, and decided to watch them until they had either noticed her or had made a decision. She wasn't really good with deciding or directions or any of that, so she figured she'd follow them later on.

What an odd dream. People? These people, who were they? He'd never seen then before. He mused about this for a few moments, fiddling with the white shirt he was wearing within this dream. From there he wrapped a hand around the long, reassuring scarf that still, thankfully, hung around his neck. His left hand.

"Left." he said simply, raising his voice only as much as necessary.

Tim had stayed quiet until now. "How will we know which path is best? I say we send scouts to a few paths first and..."

Tim's voice trailed off. He though about the strange situation he was in. He observed the trees, the soft green grass which twinkled from the light on the dew. He looked at the sky. He could see every star in the sky. He even see the milky way. The scenery, the small tattered sign, neatly in a circle next to each path, and the sky, it was all perfect. Too perfect. He walked over to the sign closest to him

"Try this path," It read in small words. He walked to the next sign

"No try this path," Said the next path

"No this one" They all seemed to conflict each other. How odd... Tim thought to himself

"Hey come over here and read the signs"

The signs were made of wood, and written on in some kind of red ink. The left sign reads "There" in thin, spindly writing, which looks to have dripped when still wet, leaving thin red trails down the dark wood. The right sign reads "Here" In the same dripping writing.

Both paths get too dark to see down after a few feet, the trees thick and branching overhead, creating something almost like a hallway of trees. A breeze slowly picks up, bringing with it the scent of smoke. The trees sway in the breeze, rustling quietly.

Overhead, almost unseen, a pair of stars blink out of existence.

Vaguely noting a feeling of something wrong (another thing besides the things she already knew) but not connecting it to the two suddenly-missing stars, she looks closely at the signs.
"Are these written in blood..? Eh, whatever, just another thing I don't want to think about. So. I guess we're going 'there'? Sounds more interesting than 'here' at any rate."

She peers into the darkness of 'there'.

*Sniff*

"Is there a fire nearby? That would mean civilization of some sort. But which path is it coming from?"

Adam smelled the air some more.

"It smells as if it's coming from between the two paths."

Matthew stood up - which was a tough feat, considering that he had been resting on his bad leg again. He had been resting for a longer amount of time than the others, but he caught on to the end of what they were saying: there was a path on the left, and a path on the right, and they needed to decide which one to go on. So far, the majority had gone for left.

And I know that they're not going to change their mind if I were to suggest going right, so...

"I agree. If we're going to take one of those paths, going to the left would be the best option."

"There and here," she repeated thoughtfully. "Well, that's specific isn't it?" She looked around, making a tuneless humming noise. "This place is weird... I'm Ara, since it seems it'd be best to stay together." She peered at both paths, eventually huffing in irritation. "You can't see anything... The stars are really bright too. If we were near a city, wouldn't the sky be a bit dimmer and more clouded?"

Bépya yawned and scratched at the corner of one of his dark eyes. The people around him, many of whom were standing for some reason, were milling about, looking at those signs over there and saying 'left' a lot. It was all just guessing, of course, despite what some of them were saying.

He yawned again, this time looking up. The sky was dark, and covered with tiny, frozen fireworky circles of light. His vision wasn't the best and this irritated him, as his expensive pair of glasses had disappeared from his pants pockets, as had his pockets and pants themselves. Bépya, like everyone else in this lucid dream or whatever it was, was wearing plain, white clothing. His watch was also gone, which sucked because he had just bought it.

Bépya squinted unattractively as he stood, revealing his inordinate tallness. After stretching quickly, Bépya glanced around in hope of finding his glasses. After a moment or two he sighed, relaxed his eyes, and looked around for a bit. There was a shortish boy, though older than him probably, with a colorful scarf around his arm. That was cool, even though it was very blurry from that distance. A tan splotch of a girl hung in his peripheral vision; Bépya's eyes were drawn to the red-and-gold glinty object around her neck. Turning and squinting hard, the shape resolved itself into a rather pretty necklace.

Her mind was rather frantic and nervous at this moment, the amount of people seemed to be getting larger and larger, and this made her quite uneasy. Along with the fact that she was... wearing some sort of plain white dress. Where did that come from? And blood? Signs written in blood? Dear, dear... this wasn't really all that fun, now was it?

In the sea of white and lefts, one newcomer immediately caught her eye. The big one with the striking scarf. She stared at him for a moment, before she felt a pair of eyes upon her. She could always feel as if someone was watching her, but the feeling was stronger. Pulling her eyes away reluctantly from the colourful scarf, which for some reason was reassuring to her, she looked all around in attempts to quell the feeling of being watched.

She didn't want to be noticed, she just wanted to blend into the crowd... her eyes met another pair of eyes though, which seemed to have been staring at her chest... oh, wait, her necklace. For several moments, she absorbed the sight of this tall boy who seemed to have been looking in her direction blindly... hmm... then she quickly looked away, hoping that he didn't see her looking.

(it's easier for me to find things to describe if you actually go somewhere, yanno)

The darkness of the path is absolute; if one were to travel down it, they would barely be able to see the nose on their face, let alone their surroundings. It is also very long, and, strangely, perfectly straight. The path is cool and smells woodsy for most of its length, though it starts to take on a metallic smell, like pennies, about halfway through.

The stars above all glisten white-blue, though...the pair from before has returned, shimmering a bright yellow.

Emlyn was still calm in this frantic sea of panic. He finally decided to gaze up at the stars as they... did absolutely nothing.

He then gazed down towards the left path, and saw pure darkness. Emlyn found himself getting closer and closer to the tempting darkness.

He had always wanted to get lost in the dark.
