• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Painful nostalgia.

Oh my god. I registered on the Invisionfree forums right before it crashed, so I can't remember my username, and I never posted.

But, if you look back on ll of my posts here... I was such a n00b, and most (well actually all but one) of my infractions/warnings were in the very beginning, when I was a n00b.

Oh god memories.

I was a complete prat on forums when I was a kid.

I was eleven when I first ventured out into the internet, and had pretty damn good grammar and punctuation. I wasn't much for randomness. However. I was a massive attention seeker. Apparently pretending to have a twin (who I made an account for on Mew's Hangout and actually used it) and saying I had a fatal heart condition was my way of feeling awesome.

It wasn't even well thought out. I basically just said I had a "hole in my heart" and had to go for very vague operations occasionally and people actually lapped it up. God, I was a freak.

This was the first forum I ever joined. I think multiple times before it crashed I got up to 30 ban points (35 is the point where you get the ban)... I was only 10, but I still think that's kinda stupid. :U

50, actually.

at one point he pretended to be his /pet lizards/

Aw man, I remember that! He's gotten almost slightly better since then. I think. I'm not really sure since we still figure out who he is within five minutes of his registering.

The only really stupid/noobish thing I ever remember doing is getting into some pointless argument when I first joined pre-explosion TCoD and being so incredibly traumatised by it that I LEFT TCOD FOREVER only to come back about a month later pretending to be called Meowth. That was, like, two years ago. ._. Fortunately I have improved very, very slightly.

I only really started using the Internet when I was 14/15 so there aren't really many stupid things I did before I came to TCoD either. Except I vaguely remember randomly being a twat at the first forum I joined, somehow yelling at one of the admins without realising they were one, and nearly getting banned. Luckily I toned down the idiocy shortly after, as that was pretty much the site that led me to TCoD. Not that you don't get those clickable "What Pokémon Are You" signs in sigs all over the Internet but

was this on invisionfree

please link me

anyway! when I joined I was 11 and fresh from TR'sRockin!. You know what this meant?

it meant that I godmoded in RPs without realizing what godmoding was because I hadn't been told differently. I remember - Mewkaza, was it? - got mad because I controlled one of the other RPers' characters to do something and it led to an argument and I was all "GAAAH"

it meant that I had a huge inflated ego from being told that I was a great spriter at TR'sRockin! I haven't sprited properly in several years (apart from doing small scratch scenes every so often), but I know that back then my spriting style was unoriginal, uninspired, and my sprites were mediocre at best. But I thought they were the BESTEST THING EVER especially those 3-Difications that I was so bad at. 8D Want to see some of my ego? You'll need an account.

it meant that I wrote really bad, non-logical stories and acknowledged criticism but refused to use it. Here is the chief example.

it meant that I posted Zigzagoon and Mew fanclubs.

it meant that I wanted to read that rugrats pornfic. I probably didn't "want" to so much as "ooh sounds interesting" and I would have gotten to it and been like "ICK WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!?!?!?!" and then I would've been scarred for life.

it meant I posted ridiculous RPs that never got off the ground.

it meant that I got sigquoted by MD (with the words "Originally posted by: Simply hilarious") once because of a ridiculous line in one of said RPs: it was a humorous RP I was carrying over from TR'sRockin! about getting sucked into the Pokémon world, and I think the line was something like "You notice that your Emerald is on red, so you go to plug in the charger. But instead of an outlet, you accidentally plug it into a Black Hole portal..."

it meant that I yelled at Turbo when really I sucked as much as Turbo if not more.

it meant that I failed at life and it took me several years to get any form of respect from any of the rest of TCoD.

:D
