Open Return of the Pokemon - The Egg Holders

River

What if I'm asleep?
The sun rose silently over the peak of Mt. Coronet, bathing the country side in a soft orange light, Amongst the trees a tent stood with a withering fire sitting near the front. Blake nodded from his vantage point in the oak. "What a good day to reach Celestic Town." He dropped from his perch and began to pack away his tent and other camping gear.

After twenty minutes he had managed to stuff all his camping gear in his bag. He picked up the glass case which contained a small red and orange egg and started his trek towards Celestic Town.

Liza looked at the sky becoming brighter from her house in Jubilife. She looked at the small yellow egg she had laid on a pillow. "I guess we should head over to Celestic town now, huh?" she said pulling out a map. "Let's see...I should head for Hearthome city first...then go up to Solaceon town...and I should be able to get to Celestic town from there...good thing I have a bike!" she was saying to herself. She quickly put her hair in a pony tail and grabbed the egg. She took the map and put in her bag of supplies. She walked and the door, grabbed her bike, and started on her way.
(Maybe I should live closer...Im so far away!)

Cairo was up with the sun. Despite the fridgid weather on top of the mountain, Cairo was wearing only his standard attire. He was currently sitting atop a rock, holding in his hands a bundle of blankets. Inside was a lime-green egg. "Well." He climbed down from the rock. "It's a nice day to climb down a mountain. Not to cold that my muscles start to ache, not to warm that I'll be sweating in no time." He picked up his bag, put the egg in it alongside his sleeping bag, and slung it over his shoulder. He trotted down the side of the mountain. According to my map, I should come out in the woods not to far south from Celestic. Perfect.

"Okay, so. According to the map, this is Solaceon Town. That's backed up by the prescence of the Daycare. So now all I have to do is get through a long and foggy route and I'll be in Celestic... just got to get over a really hilly area with this lump of an egg in my pack (what does it weigh, like a ton?)... great. I suppose I'd best be off."
She walks out towards the hills and the fog.

Her bike made the trip faster, but right now she was in Oreburgh city. She was afraid someone might see the egg and start asking questions, so she put it in her bag. The empty gym was now a museum showing things off about pokemon. "I should hurry and get to Hearthome before I get left behind!" she said to herself.

Katelyn quickly glanced down at her map. Hmm, I'm in Jubilife, she thought, so I could either go through Hearthome, then to Solaceon and up to Celestic, or up from Oreburgh to Eterna and then straight into Celestic. But which way would be quicker? This was a pretty puzzling predicament. She thought that going through Eterna would be faster, but weren't there impassable rocks there? She decided that Hearthome's route was the best way to go.

Putting her map away, she hopped on her bike and rode out of the city, racing to Oreburgh.

((Hey, Silver, since our characters are from the same place, maybe they should meet up!))

Daphne ran up to the Hotel Grand Lake, panting.

"Why... Did... I have to get this egg... at SUNYSHORE!"

She clutched the black egg tightly, barely making it to the Seven Stars Restaurant.

"A table please," She requested wearily.

The waitress led her to one of the last open tables. Daphne collapsed into her chair.

"What would you like to order today, ma'am?" The server asked.

"I don't know, just hand me the menu please." Daphne rasped.

"Of course. Just call me when you're done!" The girl smiled and walked away, going to take some more orders.

Daphne overviewed her options. Everything looked delicious. She wanted something really fullfilling, but in the end she decided to get the a berry salad. She waited for the waitress to check on her.

"Hello dearie. Have you decided what you'll have today?" The girl asked.

"Yes. I'll have the Pecha berry salad with Sitrus, Oran, and Persim please." She stated.

"Thank you! I'll bring it soon."

Daphne rubbed her egg, staring at it curiously.

I wonder what's inside?

A foghorn blew, shattering the relative calm of the waves

"This is your captain speaking. The ferry has arrived in Canalave city"

the ferry emptied fairly quickly. As the crowd dispersed, Drake set down his bag on a bench and took out his map.

So let's see.... From here, I go to Jubilife, then to Oreburgh, then to Eterna, then go through Mt. Coronet, and end up in Celestic Town.

Drake put away his map, made sure the royal blue egg in his bag was alright, and set off for Jubilife.
(( I can meet up with Silver and/or Flora and Ashes's characters in Jubilife, if you want.))

Jared was running through the city, as people glared at him.

"Why me? First, this egg, then this 'vision' telling me to go to Celestic... What the hell?"

Jared slowed down as he reached Amity Square.

"Okay, this should be the fastest route... Only a bit of climbing and walking, to get to Celestic Town. Faster thangoing through Solaceon, probably. Besides, those Daycare people are probably still looking for me for breaking a window... Since when was that enough to call the cops?"

Jared started walking through Amity square as he reached the small mountain.

Egil had just gotten of the boat that traveled the waterway between Canalave and Jubilife, and was headed through the city gates, his headphones over his ears and blaring loudly. His egg was cradled in the crook of his arm, the tiny white thing no bigger than a softball. He stopped in front of the TV Station, looking up at the huge screen.

"Hm. Okay, let's see here. I think I'll head north, to Floaroma, through the forest, and make a stop in Eterna. It's just a quick hike to Celestic from there," he muttered, taking off his headphones for a moment.

He looked down at the egg in his arm. This little thing, whatever it was, was relying on him...he had better be careful. He had made a vow to protect the tiny Pokemon in the egg, and he would be damned if he would let anyone get in the way.

"Don't worry little guy. You'll be okay..."

Egil started on the path to Floaroma.

In an office building in Hearthome, Leonard Freeman turned away from his view of the window, and calmly walked over to the map of Sinnoh.

As far as we know, these people that are carrying the eggs are making their way to Celestic. The problem is that we don't know how they're getting there; they could go there by any angle they want.

Ideally, we'd be able to pin them down just by getting to Celestic first, but organizing those willing to go to Celestic might take time... and we don't have time.

"Now who would be ready and willing to go to Celestic at such short notice?" He asked to nobody in particular, "Who would want to take such a mundane job?"

Blake had been walking in a straight line since he woke up and he was still only half way to Mt. Coronet. "Gah... I knew I should've gotten a bike before doing this. Ah well, no turning back now." He shifted the pack that contained all his equipment and the egg higher on his back and continued his Trek.

After another hour had passed he found himself at the base of a large cliff streaked with red, He looked for a handhold but found only smooth rock. Deciding to follow the cliff in case of an easier way through he headed north along the clifface.

David Silea walked silently down the corridor. He had nothing to do and was getting bored so he decided to take a walk around the building. As he passed the office with the door marked "Freeman, L", he heard someone inside say something about a mundane job. He bolted upright. If there was one thing he had learned in his two-month employment, it was that the more mundane the job, the more respect he earned. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. "Excuse me, sir, but I heard something about a job, and since I am idle, I was wondering if I could deal with it for you?"

Imogen wasn't entirely sure where she was. Several years of aimless wandering around Sinnoh didn't exactly help her pinpoint her location, through asking the first stranger she found helped point her in the right direction. Turns out, she'd actually be kinda close to Floaroma this whole time. But her sense of direction didn't last long as she quickly became lost in the forest. She sighed heavily, looking around. Note to self - don't sleep in the woods with no distinguishing features to let you know which way you came or are going.

Imogen pulled her egg out of the kangaroo pocket of her jumper. It was a typical egg white, with speckles of brown. She sighed.
"Sorry baby. I'm a little lost...but we'll get to Celestic Town." She said, stroking it fondly. It was quite large and noticeable when she tucked it back into her front pocket, one arm wrapped around it to keep it steady.

Jared started his climb against the small mountain. There were a few jagged reocks which he could use as footholds.

After about three minutes, Jared was at the top.

All in view was a vast area of grass and trees, and it seemed endless. Of course, it wasn't.

About a quarter of the way through the dense forest, the greenish egg seemed to have some sort of reaction. Not physically, but... Jared felt it in his mind.

Blake heard a sound behind him and turned to see a few rocks crumbling down the cliff face, he moved towards it and found a series of jagged hand holds, he pulled two of his socks out of his bage and wrapped them around his hands then began to climb.

The view from the top was amazing, behind him rolling fields stretched away but in front of him was a fog lined forest. He stretched his back and began to slowly climb down the other side of the mountain.

----------------------------------

Zack was walking down the corridor when he saw David stop by Freeman's office door, He stopped and listened to what he was saying.

The journey to Floaroma was a pretty short and uneventful one, especially for one so used to running marathons like Egil. The tunnel was a bit of a pain, but he managed to keep his cool, getting through there and up into the town proper in under a half-hour. Not bad. He checked the egg in his arm, and once he was satisfied with its safety, he headed through the gate.

He was met right away with the rather enjoyable smell of the flowers, which made him smile.

"Soon, I can show you all this, little guy," he said to the egg, smiling. "So don't you worry, I'll be here for ya."

He started for the forest next, climbing over the ledge in the meadow to avoid the bulk of Route 205, and hopping down the ledges on the other side, before walking into the vast green forest.

"Oh, it's just that the egg-holders are going to Celestic," Leonard said to his employee, "and if you'd be willing to go there and grab at east one of their... cargo, it would be a very great help.

"Furthermore, the best way to pin them down will be... to find the most likely route all of them will be taking, and pin them down from there. Your actions will be very dependent on which route that they take: from the mountain, or the fog-route. Both have their advantages and disadvantages for us both, but it would also help if you could at east find one of them and learn his or her behavior."

Imogen stumbled out from the trees to find a path of sorts. But she didn't know which way was the way to Floaroma and which lead to Eterna. She sighed, thinking. When in doubt...head left. She nodded to herself and turned left, walking down the path.

In a way, it was a shame...this forest used to be full of wild pokemon, Bunearies and Kricketots and all sorts of bug types. Now it was empty and quiet, no longer filled with the chirps of birds and the little cries of young pokemon. Imogen sighed, stroking her egg again. Hopefully that'll change soon.

She blinked when she saw someone approaching. A guy holding a small white...ball-like object. She shouted over to him. "Hey! Which way is it to Eterna?"

"Oh, it's just that the egg-holders are going to Celestic," Leonard answered. "and if you'd be willing to go there and grab at east one of their... cargo, it would be a very great help."
David nodded.
"Understood. I suppose which way they go depends on which side of the region the live on, but, thinking about it, the Eterna-Celestic cave is full of them boulders and noone has Pokémon to move them. Alright, thanks for giving me something to do."
He strode out of the office, nodded to Zack, and walked down the steps. He finally arrived outside. Plenty of people were walking around, but now that noone had Pokémon to ride, cars were common as well. He ran over to his own car, a black Mistsubishi Aspire, and climbed in. He drove quickly down the streets, finally passing the road-toll that marked the exit. He drove along the country path, finally arriving in Solaceon and parking outside the old Pokémon Center, now a hotel.
Ok, so anyone coming through here who looks suspicious... although, if I parked by the Moo Moo Milk lodge, I'd be able to see people from Veilstone too.
Finally making a decicion, he drove down the center road and parked outside the Moo Moo Milk lodge.
Alright, Egg Carriers. Bring it on.

~~~
Cairo stepped down from the rocks and relaxed as his feet finally touched grass. He wiped the gravel from his feet and turned to the snowiest mountain peak. "As long as that is to my left, I'm going north." He nodded confidently and set off through the forest.
