• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Stories/comics you wrote/drew when you were younger!

Ayame

Weeping Willow Pines.
I know my offerings aren't that funny, but I have a heck of a lot of old writings from when I was young (the ones from when I couldn't write at all were dictated to my mother). Some of them are just wacky, one of them is a fanfiction that was inspired by Angelina Ballerina, and some just sound so, so wrong in retrospect. I'll post some seperately, but here's a few excerpts that I typed up (some are full of errors in their original forms, which are fixed here).

The Jumprope Club said:
Ellie and Sailer [sic] are definitely my best friends! Our club has its hideout in Sailer’s little closet! She lives on a neat boat!
“Ellie!” I called. I had reached her house and wanted a little practice with her.
“Yes,” Ellie replied merrily. “You want jumprope practice, don’t you?”
I smiled.
This sounds like the horrible beginning of a bad yuri fanfiction. And seriously, what kind of club has its meetings in a closet? I also think that it's just weird that a character named Sailer (I know I misspelled it) lives on a boat.

Angelina Ballerina Fanfiction said:
After buying ice cream and fifty bags of peppermint sticks, Angelina went home and saw her favorite TV show, The Saluters. Then she sang their song. "We're the Saluters. Saluters are the best. Salute, Salute, Salute, Salute, Salute."
Oh! I loved that show and its spinoff sequel, Kowtow. :D
And fifty bags of peppermint sticks are entirely necessary. This is an earlier one, as it's in my mom's writing.

There's also one I wrote for my nephew when I was about seven or eight that was meant to be a simple rhyme for people learning to read in the vein of Dr. Suess, but turned out to be... really bizarre and unintentionally just weird.

X3 I have a few comics under the stairs that I made when I was little. I will go dig them up and scan them in ASAP

They had something to do with the Pokemon anime, though

TINY AND FAT

The story of someone... who is tiny... and someone who is fat. And they, um... did stuff?

Not sure what else it was about. :-/ I even forgot when I drew the last comic (well, more like scribble; I can't draw for my life), but it was about a tiny guy and a fat guy. I think there was supposed to be a villain type guy who might have been thin...

I remember writing a story that we called "The Little Rainbow" when my sister and I were in preschool. It was vaguely based off Teletubbies. o_O It was about a rainbow with a face, legs, and arms.

I also drew something in second grade, and it was a picture of a girl standing on top of her castle home's turret, crying, "Hello, world!" And then, above her, was a little rain cloud that got only her wet. Also, unrealistically (I was 7 at the time), there was lightning striking the ground instead of the castle, coming out of another small raincloud. It was part of a project, drawn in May 2005, and I still have it on my wall next to my kitchen table.

Aw, that's pretty cute. :)

I used to play stuffed toys with my cousin - it usually ended up revolving around final fantasy or pokemon. :3

I remember writing something about these creatures named Buttilas. (Haha rayman) They rode on Rayflies and worshiped a god called Pikagod. The bad guy was a floating head, who was executed for some reason and was brought back to life by an evil Buttila. O__o; My year 5 teacher kept wanting the books I wrote about them for some reason.

I made lots of comics about my imaginary friends.
One was like:

Mouse: I want strawberry ice cream.
Cat: I want chocolate ice cream.
Fox: I want vanilla ice cream.
Dog: I want blueberry ice cream.

An other was like:
Mouse 1: Let's get over to the other side.
Mouse 2: Let's take the "boat"!
(The "boat" was a wolf character I made. She ate only candy and mice could "sail" her over to the other side)

Or something.

Oh, and I have lots and lots of ugly drawings.

When i was really young our computer came free with MS Comic Chat, and I was addicted to making comics, despite the fact that all of them came out terrible. I couldn't spell at all.

"I am a alean"
"A a alean!"
"Ffazyrs on styn!"
"News jyst in aleans ar tacking ova tha uorld"

(if you don't understand that, I am an alien, ahhhh an alien, phasers on stun, news jusr in aliens are taking over the world)

I was childish really often and made massive comics with just someone saying "pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" for like three pages.

Oh, and I used to draw lots of mazes, which usually included teleporters and keys. And sometimes I drew side-scroller type things as well.

oh my god my old Pokemon fanfiction x.x

It was... it wasn't terrible at the time (for an 11-12 year old), but looking back, they had no (real) plot whatsoever and were entirely in script form.

Classics included Fun in Cyberspace, Pokemon Survivor, Quest for the Wine Gums, Mission Unlikely and The Madness of Vermillion City.

...I know >>

I have found two old stories of mine, Godzilla a New Begining Part 1 and Godzilla a New Begining Part 2: Ash Monster's Revenge. I would translate the text onto the computer, but the story really isn't complete without the (terrible) pictures, so I guess I'll edit this or post again with scans later.

OH GOD

Fun in Cyberspace.

AND THE KADABRA. XP

When I was in third grade I started making up this weird crossover thing featuring Pokemon and whatever else I decided to put in it. It was horrible.

Then when I was in sixth grade I discovered the wonder that is Brandon the Pyramid King's excavating obsession, fixed up the story, made the main character less Mary Sueish, and then actually got a good idea in my head. ^^

Now I just need to finish up Series Finale and I can write it. ^^

Aaaaaah I started to write a Pokemon fanfiction with no plot too ;-;

I got to about a hundred and twenty-five pages before I realized how lame it was D:

Elizabeth In Bed said:
Mom made a meeting that went with a dinner that was delicious. After dinner, Mom said, "What should we get Elizabeth for her present?"
"Well, she wanted my room to have a castle in it," said Jill.
"Well," said Mom, "she wanted her room to have a tire swing in it."
"Well," said Grandma, "she wanted her room at my house to have a jungle gym."
"And," said Aunt Hondra, "she wanted to have a scary tiki in my guest room."
"And in my guest room, she wanted to have a pear tree," said Great-Grandma.
"I know!" said Dad. "We could make a big idea thing."
This was a story my mom helped me write in kindergarten. :D I drew the pictures and dictated parts of the story... My own handwriting was absolutely terrible at the time.
That last line is hilarious.

OH THE WINE GUMS. AND THE PLOT HOLE.

:D I remember them!

I drew a Pidgeon Country with my sister once. We had everything planned out: the nursery, the office, the building, the other building... It was fun.
