Open The Sundering of the World

" oh I have an idea!" shadow said and put up his paw in that 'stop' fashion, and took off int the woods. He finally found the tree he was looking for and grasped his teeth around a small purple and black ball. He quickly ran back to the trainer lady and plopped it in front of here, no that it was in the sun you could see it was a pokeball with a black top that had red highlights in it, the stardard white middle, and a dark purple high gloss bottom. Shadow nudged the Hal with his nose toward the trainer and cocked his head to one side,"please," he said still unsure if the girl understood him, we was never around humans.

It wasn't all that easy for Axe to keep up with the conversation between the newcomer Mightyena and Shadow, but as it finished, what hit her was Shadow bringing back a Poke Ball of some sort and suggesting to be caught. To Axe, this was a crazy idea, since she rather disliked being with humans, and wasn't inclined to help them do whatever they wanted. She almost stood up, but decided that with the other Pokemon around making a scene wasn't such a good idea. It would be a good way to gain enemies if that was what she was looking for, but it wasn't, so it was best to either socialize or stay put. The Fraxure decided to do the latter, but first, she came as close to crossing her stubby arms as she could and let out an inaudible sigh. "Go ahead, but I'm staying here."

She turned her head towards the Mightyena, whose name was apparently Runa. Maybe a little conversation wouldn't hurt. "So what does your Trainer do?" she asked curtly.

"hey just because you don't like humans doesn't mean I can't," shadow said not sounding mean,"wait will you want to battle?" shadow asked the trainer still not caring if she could hear him or nor

((You can't really say that without sounding at least a little snappy, though, right?))

Axe just about lost her temper. She was going to snap at Shadow and probably bite him or something, but again she told herself that she didn't want to act violent against anyone or she would definitely be getting a few new foes sometime soon. "I never said anything about you making the wrong choice," she said slowly and carefully. "I just said I wasn't going with a human." She turned her eyes back to Runa, awaiting an answer. Perhaps she shouldn't try to strike up a conversation with Shadow right now; doing so might only cause problems. She should wait until her emotions cooled down. Maybe talking to Runa instead would help keep her relaxed.

Runa was about to say "no" to Shadow's question, but then he ran off to retrieve something. When he returned with a Poké Ball of some sort, both the Mightyena and her Trainer eyed it curiously. For a moment, Runa was about to reach toward it to investigate, but then Haru picked it up in front of her. The Mightyena glanced at Haru, then turned back toward Shadow. "Do you want her to put you in that strange Poké Ball?" She wasn't sure how she would communicate the exact message, but she would at least try to keep her Trainer from doing anything that Shadow didn't want her to.

Then Runa glanced toward the long-toothed Pokémon that had asked her a question. "Haru?" She had to think for a moment. "She's a scientist. She knows a lot about many Pokémon, and mostly does field work."

Then she directed her attention back to Shadow. "Perhaps," she answered, unsure.

"I will battle your trainer, as long as I don't have to fight you," shadow said,"but if she doesn't sangho fight that is fine, and yes I want to be put in that pokeball, i modefied it myself by using crushed gems as a paint."

Runa nodded, and then took the Poké Ball gently in her jaws while looking up at her Trainer. She wagged her tail and indicated Shadow quickly, and then gave the violet-colored Poké Ball to Haru. The Trainer looked at it quizzically, then glanced toward Shadow for a last confirmation. However, she trusted Runa, and pressed the button in the middle of the Poké Ball so that it opened. Sensing Shadow's energy, it quickly withdrew the Houndoom. As soon as she could, Haru sent Shadow back out again; she didn't want to keep him contained in there, since she wasn't yet sure how he would react.

After Shadow was back out into the world, Runa seemed to dance with satisfaction, and nosed a couple of the Poké Balls on her Trainer's belt. At first, Haru was confused, but thankfully she seemed to understand soon, and glanced at Shadow with a grin. With a welcoming glance in her green eyes, she took the second Ball off and released the Pokémon contained within it.

This Pokémon was a yellow-and-blue canine with a tall mane around his head and tufts of yellow fur around his flanks and paws. Runa grew excited, and indicated the new Pokémon while facing Shadow. "This is Miles. He's a Manectric." Miles nodded and, seeing the want to battle in Shadow's eyes, took a ready stance. However, he would let Shadow move first.

Wargle peeked his head over his wing as he heard a battl,e and noticed a Houndoom and Manetric. He watched with mild enthusiasm and flew over and sat 4 meters from the midpoint between the two Pokemon. Amanda and Escavalier were forced to follow.

Miles almost seem to panic as the Dark Pulse headed toward him, but as it hit him, regained his composure when he realized that it didn't do as much damage as he had thought it would. He might be able to survive another one; he wasn't sure. Either way, he had to fight back. He quickly glanced back to his Trainer, who gave him a command just as promptly (much to his delight): "Miles, retaliate with Thunderbolt!" Almost before she finished saying the word, the Manectric was charging the electricity in his fur, and suddenly released it in a blast towards the Houndoom. After the huge released of energy, he cringed a little in pain, but his focus was still completely on his opponent.

Runa's ears twitched as she saw something come toward them, and she glanced toward the bird with mild interest. It was watching them, and almost looked suspicious to her. Then again, everything did. The Mightyena averted her gaze and watched the battle, in case the eagle-like Pokémon noticed her.

Shadow knew he had no time to dodge it but, so he ran for it. He kept his head down and let the thunder bolt hit his shoulder. He took the hit and did a roll to prevent tripping and kept running till he was right next to the manectric and let out a heat wave.

This time, the pain got to Miles more deeply; his jaw dropped open and he began to pant in the intense heat. He could feel his energy being sapped out of him, but right when he thought he was going to faint, the heat ended and left him just barely standing. His red eyes flashed with rage as he glared at his opponent, and he hardly heard what his Trainer said, if she said anything. He would have to think of an attack that would definitely get his opponent. He needed something more powerful than Thunderbolt... there was Thunder, but it was too inaccurate... If only he could somehow combine it with Shock Wave. But it would take so much energy that he would faint if he even tried. Perhaps it wouldn't even begin, and he would faint without even attacking his opponent.... Argh! Forget this. He would just do what had come to his mind first. Miles grinned as he realized how close his opponent was to him; there wasn't time to dodge the Thunder attack. A fearsome amount of electricity sparked in his yellow fur, and a quick bolt jumped from his flank to his mane. After a mild flash of light, a huge burst of electricity was leashed from his fur, and headed straight for Shadow with lightning speed.

Runa almost had to step back from the force of the Thunder. At point-blank range? Was there a way this Houndoom would survive? She shook her head; Miles could be reckless, but maybe this could work. The heat made her squint as she tried to see the final outcome: was Shadow standing or defeated?

Shadow saw the power behind the attack,"I'm sorry I have to use this," he said and disappeared into a shadow and like that he was gone. The thunder hit the ground and shadow appeared again about 10 feet away.

She ignored me... Cyrus felt his eyebrow twitch. Guess the stereotype of rude smart people isn't entirely false. Balien let himself back out, mainly because they both were so incredibly bored.

"Well, I suppose we should occupy ourselves." Cyrus glanced around, hoping to see something of interest. A battle. Not really invigorating.

"You solved another one, detective." Balien rolled his eyes.

"Oh, can it. I'll make you a rug one day, I swear. Let's just go."

"I'd rather watch. Unlike you, I actually have to fight, so I'd like to know if these fighters have any good tricks up their sleeves." So on Balien's request, Cyrus sat down to watch the battle.

Miles's expression grew suddenly surprised as he realized... the Houndoom wasn't there anymore? Where had it gone? His momentum prevented him from slowing down properly, and he crashed into the ground some distance away, collapsed and unconscious.

Runa's ears flattened with suspicion and amazement as she realized that Shadow had somehow teleported, avoiding -- almost cheating -- his opponent's attack, and coming out completely unscathed. She growled, and finally lost her temper. "Had to?!" she shouted, advancing on the Houndoom. "He could get really badly hurt!" As she stood just inches from Shadow, she swung her whole body to the side, toward where the Manectric lay. "I don't even know how you did that," the Mightyena said through her teeth, raising herself up to her full height as she stood so she could make eye contact as best as she could (though she was still smaller than Shadow), "but..."

Her Trainer's voice interrupted her challenge. "Runa, calm down." Haru paused, looking at Shadow interestingly as Runa lowered her head again and returned to her Trainer. "He might be a good addition to our team." After a couple more seconds of silence, she made her way slowly over to Miles, her eyes on him the entire time. If there was any sign that she was worried, she showed very little of it. However, contrasting her facial expression, she moved very gently as she leaned down to withdraw him. For a moment, she rested her hand on his neck; luckily, he was just extremely tired. The Manectric changed into a small form of red light and was taken back into his Poké Ball.

Almost suddenly, Haru stood up and turned around, walking away without looking back. "Come on, Runa, and Houndoom, whatever your name is. We shouldn't have wasted time battling in the first place." Hopefully the Pokémon Center is still open, she thought.

"I can heal him," shadow said," I know thunder fang and can use the energy in it to charge up manectric, but only if you trust me."
"oh and the move was shadow force," he said to Runa,"I want through hell to learn it and it drains me, so that fight wouldn't have went much longer anyway."

Haru didn't seem to notice what he was saying, and she stood in front of the Pokémon Center tentatively. After a moment's decision, she went in, hoping someone was there.

As Runa padded along agitatedly, and a little ahead of Shadow, she carried the conversation, but without looking at him directly. "Manectric isn't one of the Pokémon with Volt Absorb. I doubt it would work. Plus, he's not only drained of energy, but you did quite a number on him with your attacks as well." She paused for a moment, stopping just behind her trainer and refusing to look at the one-eyed, silver Houndoom. "I'm not really sure what 'Shadow Force' is, but you don't seem too drained." Her voice was little more than a low growl now. After she said that, she immediately headed in behind her trainer. Finally, before the door closed, she looked back at Shadow. "Haru isn't one to lose her temper, but I don't think she'll keep you in that odd Poké Ball too much unless you continue to make us defeat ourselves when battling against you... if we ever do again."

"I've never truly met a human, and from what I saw a trainer always battles a pokemon before it becomes part of there team," shadow said," anyway I hate these places I'll be outside," with that he walked out and stared at the sky(I assume it is night so he is star gazing)
"well now at least I have someone," shadow said looking back through the pokemon center doors at runa,"but she shows no care for me, so it is like I am still alone," just then the drain hit him and he just fell on the ground.
