• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Ultimate Trainer Takes Over!

((Aw, it's over? That was short. =P))
"Thanks. And she prefers to be called Katniss."
Zelda added, arms folded. Katniss nodded and Roosted on Link's desk, a few white feathers falling on the ground.
Well, if he wasn't paying attention, he is now. Well, my usual battling strategy pretty much went down the toilet.
She crawled under her desk and picked up her papers, putting them neatly back on her desk.

"OK. That was a good battle!" Dr. Lehrer was exhilarated."You" he said pointing to a boy in his class, "You look very cocky. What is your name? Wyatt? I think that my Blaziken has something to say about that. You go first!" Ruby felt like this kid had something coming to him.

Aria looked up hopefully. She was rather disappointed when she wasn't chosen for battle next, but was still somewhat happy for Wyatt that he was chosen. She already wondered about the battle's outcome.

"Looks like you want to battle too Aria. You battle Link." Ruby said."Latios, you judge that battle." Latios nodded and flew over to that side of field. "I'll Start with my Gallade. You can make the first move" Yelled Link."These battles will be 3 on 3, instead of that 1st 1 on 1 battle." Ruby said.

"Hmmm, which one do I watch?" Mysti muttered to herself. Chris overheard. He ran over there, now knowing where she was. He pulled out a paper fan that was supposed to look Japanese, Mysti's favorite country. "How about the one between me and your heart?" he replied. Mysti turned to face the other way. Chris ran to the same side Mysti was facing. "CUT IT OUT!" she yelled at Chris, blushing a little because deep down she kindof liked him. "Okay, don't bite my head off..."

Ned raised his hand. "Dr. Leher? May I make a suggestion? Maybe we should break off into free battling."

Gwen shuffled over towards where link was, praying to every god she could think of that Zelda didn't notice her.
Come on link, you can win this, she found herself thinking
Mespirit followed, amused but keeping quiet.

Gwen was suddenly thrown into total and utter panic. Battle? She couldn't battle, she was hopeless. She couldn't stand anyone, human or pokémon, ever getting hurt. But then a familiar face came to mind, and hardened her resolve.
I'll do it for you mum, she thought.
Behind her, Mespirit appeared to almost give a small smile

"Hey, I call Mysti!" Chris yelled. Mysti sighed. "Fine..." she muttered. "Single or double?" "Single" Mysti replied, already taking a Pokeball from around her neck.((Forgot to say earlier, Mysti can understand Pokemon speech, but noone knowest about this or psychic powers she only uses in emergencies.)) "Par-ty ti-me, Pury!" she yelled as she spun around and called out Suicune.((Man, I forget a lot of things! Blame ADHD. Pury is Shiny.)) She glowed with a brilliant white, then it broke into sparkles, making a SHiny Suicune appear. It was almost as if she were calling her out for a contest. "Suicune, eh? Take a load of this! Go, Erican!" he yelled as he released his Pikatwo, aka the cloned Pikachu, that had recently gotten a crack in it's tail. They stood, ready for battle. ((Nighttime here, will make battle tommorrow when I can think straight.))

Gwen almost jumped when someone spoke to her.
"Err...OK I guess," she said, trying desperately to seem confident and composed, but not really succeeding.

Hm. No one to battle with. I guess I'll have to battle with myself.
Ned snatched two random Pokéballs from his belt. "Go, Pokéballs!"
They flashed with a bright white light. Two Pokémon came out, one a fierce-looking bird, and the other a huge dragonfly with orange-tipped wings. Ned groaned. "I wonder who'll win this one."
"Pidgeot, Wing Attack!"
Pidgeot sped toward Yanmega, wings glowing. She was caught by surprise, and barely avoided getting hit. But she still couldn't avoid a small Super-effective hit. "Now, Yanmega! Bug Buzz!"
Yanmega closed her eyes and concentrated on emitting a high-pitched buzz. As it did that, Ned thought of something. "Pidgeot, Air Slash! follow it with a Wing attack!"
Pidgeot did a backflip, and shot a slice of cutting air toward the Yanmega. Then, he followed behind it with the same attack as in the beginning. They both hit Yanmega with surmountable force. She couldn't handle the sheer strength of the two Super-effective hits. Yanmega fell to the ground and fainted. "I expected as much," muttered Ned. "Return!"
Two beams of red permeated the air and sucked in the two Pokémon. "Good job, you two."
He then faced Yanmegas' ball. "We need to work on that Bug Buzz. You concentrate too hard."

"Hmm? Oh, sure. Kat? You okay to battle?"
Kat nodded and jumped off the desk, flying around the two humans in a figure eight before coming to a stop in front of Zelda. Zelda folded her arms and looked at Link warily. She started to say something along the lines of, Link, huh? Don't try anything cute like an ocarina serenade or saying you rescued me from Ganon, or I'll throw you out the window. but didn't, instead asked in a more gruff voice than intended,
"Okay, let's start already."

"What's so wrong with concentrating?" asked Mysti. "Purification, use Aurora Beam!" she shouted to her. "Quick, Erican! Counter with Thunder!"
