It's impossible to die holding your breath. Once you held it long enough, you would get knocked out, and then start breathing again.

What if you hold your breath then get hit by a meteor, then you could die holding your breath XD

In Naruto, the character Rock Lee's Japanese name directly translates not to Rock Lee, but Rokku Rii. Rokku is "rock" in Japanese.
