• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I- I have no idea actually. Uh, maybe a different idea. Give me some time to think.

I like how you haven't changed your Larvitar's nickname.

    :p
I'm not that responsible >_> maybe suggest that to Blazhy.

    And er. I don't remember. It's been a year since I checked.
Sadly, not as of yet. I do know that japan was taking some intrest in our national tournament, and thy were sending a team called science olympiad ambassadors to the national level this year.

They're quite fun. Basically you need to get to your eent, compete for 50 minutes, get back to homeroom, recuperate for about 5, and then move on to another event. They usually take place in high schools, but state, regionals, and nationals take place on college campuses.
Science Olympiad is an extracirricular at some high schools and some middle schools. Basically, teams compete in 23 biology/chemistry/math/anatomy/technology/etc. related events. Some schools hold invitationals, in which other schools travel to a main host school and compete. Each state holds Regional and State tournaments, and there is a national tournament for the 65 bes teams in the nation. As to why you haven't heard of it. chances are your school does not have a team. Alternatively, your school might have a team, but it's not as popular, so you didn't hear about it. I would definitely reccomend researching to see if your school has a team. It's a lot of fun.
"I, for one, use just two different passwords and usernames for all my accounts on the internet."

And I. Though I do try to vary my passwords for safety's sake.
I watered my Mom's vegetable garden, Emptied dishwasher, stocked dishwasher, and picked blackberries. I had stop blackberry picking cause of lack of reach, the fact I was wearing shorts, I saw a spider :( and mosquitoes were attacking. Still got tons though.

    :)

    Not really...

    NO GOD PLEASE NO!
That could be interpreted in such a wrong, yet funny way.

True, Byrus is impressively good. Though you'll still get $30 for losing, which is great either way. Ah well, let's hope you pull through alright. I would hate to see our promise broken so early :'(

No, oh god, no. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.

Now stop messaging me. I have procrastination problems already, you VM'ing me doesn't make it any easier to get stuff done >:[
That was exactly what I was thinking of. And it still made me laugh.

Oh blah blah, you're perfect record is in jeopardy against RTB in case you didn't remember (though I am cheering for you and I think you might be able to pull it out with that next song of yours)

    OH HELL NO.
I knew you were mixing them up the whole time :p It's fun being manipulative. And besides, Zvoniti/Hohner only lost because I gave him stupid commands. "DUDE, F**K THE SAFEGUARD USE ALL THE STATUS ATTACKS".

Edyta is Pathos' Tentacool, one which beat Anatina/Zbrka in our battle, for future reference.
Um, forgive me for not knowing what you're talking about. Beating Zbrka? Talk to Edyta the Tentacool about that.
Ah. So much different from the northern US, like Maine and New Hampshire. Apparently they get at least four feet at a time at least once every winter. And snow days? Down here snow is such a rarity that whenever one snowflake is seen, school is cancelled. Hey, better for us!

Not really. We got rained out the time I was going to go climbing there.

Ah. Well, I don't think I've updated that in ages, haha. Right now it's GMT-4, but outside of Daylight Savings it's GMT-5, which is what I usually put down.

I wouldn't really know—I'm in central NC, and most hurricanes don't come in far enough—even the ones that do are really badly weakned by that point. The last major hurricane my town has experienced was about a year before we mover here.
Really. I'll have to ask my other canadian friend about that. He lives in either British Colombia or Saskatchewan. AtomicMeat, if you were here for the brief period in which he was. But I dunno, I've never been there! If you're interested, I think we got about an inch at a time last winter? That's probably a large exaggeration.

I do indeed live in an urban area. And as for rural areas? Well, the east has some quite good farmland, so the farmers in those parts might count, but other than that I'm not really sure. The main thing that comes to mind when I think about eastern NC is NASCAR, whose main HQ is in Fayetteville. Western NC, though, is (unless I'm mistaken, which is a good possibility) pretty rural, I think. Ask Silver, she lives closer to there.

I understand why. I was bragging about some trip to Chicago earlier this year, wasn't I?
Yep! Though I'm not the only one on this forum.

Wait, it's closed for climbing? That's strange, I was going to go climbing on it this summer...
    Ah. Sure, then.

Oh, it's in Canada. My bad, I thought you were talking about Pilot Mountain in North Carolina, and was like, 'wut'.
