Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.
Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.
Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?
In THAT case I guess that Spearow is based upon a Spear, Weedle is based upon a Weed, and Mr. Mime is based on Mr. T.RespectTheBlade said:the name really says it all: Pidgey, Pidgeon. also, does a starly not look something like a pigeon?
I don't think it will be that bad this generation. Out of the 31 currently revealed Pokemon, only 1 is potentially related to a prior Pokemon. At this point with revealed Pokemon in Gen. IV, we already had 8 Pokemon revealed to be related to prior Pokemon, and people were still wondering if Drapion was related to Gligar and if Kricketot was related to Volbeat or Illumise.Kratos Aurion said:but I think it'd be sort of nice if we could get a generation where absolutely nothing was related to anything else. Completely new and fresh and all that, blah blah.
Just because a Pokemon's name says its something doesn't mean that it is. It's probably called Pidgey because that is a name that came to mind at the time, considering there were no actual Pidgeon Pokemon.
I would totally catch a Mr. T Pokemon.and Mr. Mime is based on Mr. T.

A new Play-Doh toy set will be released on October 30th in Japan in commemoration of Black and White; the product features pieces of Pokemon Play-Doh that you assemble to make several Pokemon, including Pikachu, Zorua, Tsutaaja, Pokabu, Mijumaru, and Mamepato. However, its product listing also mentions two unknown Pokemon: Onokkusu (オノックス) and Burokko (ブロッコ).
I would love a broccoli Pokemon! Since most people are weak to the broccoli type, I could attack for massive damage! :DWho wants to bet that "Burokko" (which is basically "Brocco" in Japanese...) is the green broccoli-looking thing we saw earlier?
Oh wow, you're right. I wonder if that was intentional.Well, there's a Fighting-type Gym Leader named Chuck...
There are going to be a lot of new evolutions if today's Pokebeach article is to be trusted. ...
