Open Dreams of the Past

((Gahgah... Can we pretend I got out of the chamber and all that? xD

What exactly are we doing right now?))

Blizzardi sat in a tree.

((Two lines?

Anyway, most of us got out, were explained to about the situation of the world, and Exo-Raikou's new characters, Yata-Sasori and someone else whose name is too complicated for me to remember, were introduced, I think.))

Mist tried to locate the Milotic, and saw Tanya just as she was slithering away. The Drapion followed the Milotic, and asked, "How can I learn more about this world? I wasn't even familiar with this region before I slept, and everything is so confusing..." She saw a nearby Pokemon in a tree but ignored it. Her tail dug into the ground, as Mist was stressed with all this new stuff. And for how long she was sleeping, she ought to be dead by now.

((Oh. Two lines. Forgot that xD))

Another Pokemon.

It was below her. She didn't care.

Too much.

Blizzardi decided that she would need an acquaintance if she were to survive out here, and she hadn't had a chance to meet the rest of the Pokemon yet. These ones were sleeping, like her, right? She noticed a long purple scorpion glance at her but do nothing more.

It was an Ogre Scorp, right? Drapion? So as long as she was up here, she might as well climb down and meet it.

Once Blizzardi was at a height from which she could jump, she hung upside down on the branch for a split second before dropping herself to the ground. She landed gently on her feet, paying more attention to the others than her.

"Hello," she greeted curtly.

"You can't trust anyone out here," Mist snarled, whirling to face the Ambipom. Her fangs were bared, and now her tail was swishing back and forth dangerously. She waited for the Ambipom to make a move... did she have any intentions to hurt anyone? Better safe than sorry. Dark purple venom began to gather at the tips of Mist's fangs; she was preparing a Poison Fang, just in case the Ambipom retaliated. "Who are you?"

Blizzardi smiled and sat down cross-legged on the ground.

"Can't trust anyone? You could at least make a good impression. Then one would be less likely to attack." She was staring at the back of her hand while saying this. "The appearance of hostility only causes trouble."

"Anyway." She looked up and straight into the Drapion's eyes. "To answer your question, my name is Blizzardi. I was trained for agility." She suddenly stood on her tails for a moment and then fell back down again as if doing a stationary pole vault. Why were all these Pokemon so grumpy these days?

Skaldia glared at the Solrock, unable to come up with an excuse. "I don't like him. That's all." she finally spat. "I wish he wasn't still here. He should be dead." She stopped to size up the Arcanine, sneering in his direction. "Go ahead and leave if you like. I'm sure you'll be much happier outside. This isn't your problem." Her wings flared out - Cole was being basically ignored, and would have to dodge to keep from being hit by one of those wings as she turned to the Dusknoir and the Claydol. "You - both of you! I don't like you. Leave. Especially you, Dusknoir. If Lance dies... I'll kill him. Not any of you."

She had the type advantage to the Arcanine, but her only useful attacks against the Dusknoir would be the Dark-type Crunch. The Claydol didn't seem too eager to fight... Maybe the Solrock could work something out. Floating rocks all looked the same - maybe they agreed on everything too. Moving to stand in front of the door with wings spread to block the way entirely, she bared her fangs at the group, her patience quickly running out. "In fact, I have a better idea. You all can leave and let my trainer rot in there, and I'll blast this place shut and bite anyone who tries to stop me." Her voice was deceptively calm, but she was constantly moving, shifting her weight and growling softly, agitated.

She was desperate. Desperate to get rid of those memories, those weaknesses, faults that would bring her down. It was his fault. This was all his fault...

----

Yes, he definitely could hear voices now. A whole variety, from the harsh screeches he knew so well to a light human voice. A group was gathered nearby... He blinked, trying to see properly. The chamber's lights were flickering on and off, but by squinting he could focus on where the door was. It was sealed shut, too large to bother even trying to open it. He licked his lips and coughed once. The air was dry...

The voice in his head returned. Unable to concentrate enough to answer mentally, he spoke aloud. "300 solar cycles...? You mean, 300 years?" He tried to grasp that, getting a grip on his emotions before he could panic. He could think about the true implications of that later. "I entered the chambers. I was... stuck. The doors were closed early, by accident. I was trying to..." He stopped that train of thought. "Is my Aerodactyl - is Skaldia with you? I think I can hear her."

When the aerodactyl sneered at him, he freaked out. "HOW DARE YOU!?" he roared. "YOU TREAT ME LIKE I DON'T EXIST!! THE NERVE!! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? I SHOULD TEACH YOU SOME RESPECT!!" He then fired a ball of black fire at the aerodactyl. No one treated him that way. He didn't care how good a fighter she was, he would not be treated like a nobody after being locked up for so many years for being one of the best. There was too much irony, and he hated irony, like he hated everything else. Right after he launched the fireball, he braced himself for an attack. The first rule of combat: For every attack, there is a counter-attack, and for every counter attack, the is a maneuver to avoid it. "Be on guard," his trainer would always say. It was time he got back into practice.

From what little Cole remembered about Lance, she knew that he had been the leader of the Indigo League…so he must have been a great trainer. If he had been mean, why hadn't the Aerodactyl left him? Perhaps she held a grudge against him for some other reason - one only applicable after being put into the chambers.

There was a thought; she might be mad because she was left in the chambers by Lance…but Cole wouldn't dare say it to her face. If it was true, the Aerodactyl would likely bite her head off; if not, she'd probably yell at her for being ignorant and then bite her head off. Even if-

WHAM. Cole was knocked off her feet by an unexpected flare of the Aerodactyl's wings. She raised her hands, but her head slammed against the wall of the chamber. She slumped and held the left side of her head. She probably wasn't bleeding, but the pain running through her head was enough to make her wince and curse quietly. None of the Pokemon were paying much attention to her, but this was ridiculous! Picking herself up unsteadily and picking up on the conversation, she watched the Arcanine spew fire at the Aerodactyl.

"Why is everyone dead set on killing and hurting?" she pleaded. "It doesn't fully solve anyone's problems, just sends them away for a while; not to mention that it's completely unneccessary! Can't you take care of your problems without resorting to violence?" Another wave of pain ran through her skull, giving her the need to lean against the wall in fear that she'd stumble and fall on someone. That wouldn't end well.

"I will not leave, vermin," Zrantox said, "I have a job to do. What I am doing will save this world from the corruption that is humanity. And if you attempt to intervene, I'll just do to you what I plan on doing to the humans."

"Staying," Effigei snarled, gathering a nimbus of stone around him.

"As I thought you would. I suppose I would were I in your position; were my only friend killed."

"Atone!" Effigei yelled, launching Ancientpower at Zrantox.
----
Yatasori flew down the tunnel as fast as he could.

I shouldn't have waited so long before getting up, he thought, If I'm not fast enough, Zrantox will kill Effigei... and I know that in his state of mind, nothing can stand against him.

If I can't get to the chamber in time, the mission will never succeed

When Xalvin the Scyther awoke he was deeply curious about his surroundings despite his beating head, stiff joints and wings . Normally he wasn't the curious type but the crystals with the various Pokémon inside them and some of them actually opened that would perplex anyone. Soon he came across some footprints of various Pokémon like a Drapion, Leafeon, and more that lead to what he hoped was the exit to this place. But looking at the crystals sparked something in his brain. Shrugging he followed the footprints... until he tripped on a rock and landed face first into a wall. But pain wasn't the only thing that exploded in his head. There was also a memory. Well memories. Of him being mistreated in a that research facility, that man that keep on whipping him like a sadist (which he was actually) and the horrible meals they fed him. But the most recent memories was of him escaping and getting shortly captured then being stuffed in here. Anger swelled inside of him as he thought of ways to get back at them. But of course he must stay calm and cool to find that group and get the hell out of here.

63 looked down to the floor. That Aerodactyl sure didn't like that Lance person. Did that mean he was a bad person, or did she just not like him for some reason?

63 thought hard. The other Pokemon said that Lance was obviously known...how then, did he not remember? Come to think of it, how come he didn't remember anything? Trainers, the league, champions, Union Cave, what were they? Why were they common knowledge to everyone else, yet not him? 63 looked up at the others and saw the Aerodactyl...threatening everyone else?

"Why do you all hate him so much?" 63 asked softly, "Is he an evil man, or something?"

((Hey, when can Zemhal find out about the dig results?))

Cole groaned; again, she was being ignored! She could be a rock for all they cared! The Dusknoir's and Claydol's words, however, cleared her mind of the trivial matter. The Dusknoir had killed another…she had to admit, that probably warranted violence.

Wondering why she hadn't left yet, or why she didn't particularly want to, she heard the Manetric ask about Lance. Not really having a proper explanation, she struggled to convey that. "Not everyone hates him. Some are just trying not to let humans and Pokemon interact, which is kind of stupid considering that I'm here talking to you. And Sinar, the Solrock over there, has explained that he doesn't have emotions, oddly enough." Rolling her eyes, she continued, "But he's protecting him because he wants peaceful coexistence."

The barrage of stone struck Zrantox, throwing him backwards. Yelling in rage, he fired a twin Dark Pulse at Effigei.

The Claydol barely dodged the lethal dark energy. The blast intended for him struck the wall behind him

"Atone!" He yelled again, firing off more rocks. These struck Zrantox even harder than before, sending him straight into the chamber wall.

"None of you understand that what I'm doing is going to help all of us pokemon. Humans are destroying our homes; destroying our planet. Given much more time, they will wipe us all out. They cannot exist any longer," Zrantox said, gathering more dark energy, "Why do none of you understand?"

Effigei paused. It was true, that humans were responsible for turning the world into what it is now. They had caused pokemon training to die out; and Effigei had seen many pokemon slain by humans angry with trainers.

Could this Dusknoir be right in what he thought?

"...No," Effigei whispered.

"What?" Zrantox said, preparing to launch another Dark Pulse

"Defamation," Effigei yelled, gathering more stones around him.

"If you think such things," Zrantox said, "then you must die like all the others."

He launched the Dark Pulse at Effigei

"Join them in extinction!"

Sinar did it's best to ignore the fighting around it. Channeling power from the stars, which penetrated even these cave walls, Sinar increased it's resistance to attacks of all sorts.

Yes, the Aerodactyl, Skaldia, is out here. Unfortunately, the situation has descended into fighting. Many interests are conflicting here, and I myself do not know whether to prevent your death or allow it., Sinar told Lance, I would like to hear both sides and make a logical judgment, however that is not feasible because violence seems to be the first resort amongst them. Thusly, I do not wish to let you out of the chamber.

Then Sinar remembered, Skaldia, however, seems to have an apparently illogical dislike of you, citing no real reason. Have you done something to wrong her?, it asked.

((If you can have a NPC hear about this because they were hanging around the area, then in maybe about two more posts? XD OF course, we might collapse the cave, and then everyone will know... :P))

Skaldia wasn't worried by fire - her rock-type nature could brush off a fireball with ease. Snarling, she flapped her wings and screeched, feeling the rocks above their heads move, before tumbling down as she used Rock Slide. The effort, after so much time spent in slumber, exhausted her. "You - human. And the Manectric. You haven't done anything to annoy me yet. Get behind me so you don't get hit." she rasped, before screeching again, the sound shrill. It was all she could do to muster a Supersonic - hopefully at least one of the others would be affected by it.

She was... tired. What was wrong with her? She was strong, she should have been able to do much more than just two attacks. Gasping, she eyed the Arcanine and the battle behind him, waiting for another attack.

((This is a hint, guys. x3 You've all been asleep for three hundred years, so you aren't at full strength at the moment.))

----

Lance blinked. "There's fighting? It'll be safer to stay inside, then. Are there any other humans around? If so, you should protect them. They have nothing to do with this." He could hear yelling now, and the sounds of battle... It was all muted, though, as a result of the thick chamber walls. He fought to focus on answering the Psychic Pokemon's question. "I... I can't remember if I did do something to her. It's possible, though." he answered honestly. Actually, he had a very good idea of why she was angry, but he wasn't about to say it yet.

((Lance posts = fail. :P))

Effigei was unprepared for the speed at which the Dark Pulse was launched.

It struck him head on.

The Claydol fell down, just as Yatasori had-

And got back up again.

"What?!" Zrantox yelled, "There was enough power in the Dark Pulse to kill a Rhyperior! How were you able to survive that?!"

"Oh, it's really simple," A familiar voice rang out, "You aren't at maximum power yet. What strength you have now has probably been drawn from your rage at the humans."

Yata-Sasori flew down into the chamber.

"You!" Zrantox snarled, "I killed you! I blasted you head on with a Dark Pulse! You couldn't have survived."

"Perhaps you've forgotten what I just said," Yatasori said, "In which case this fight is about to go in favor of us."

Mist still kept up the hostility and growled, "Explain to me your intentions, please." Her eyes were still full of rage as the venom seeped out of her mouth slowly, until it coated her fangs. She wouldn't launch the attack until she knew what this Ambipom was. But it didn't last long. Mist's throat was very dry; she coughed, and the poison dripped onto the ground. There went her attack. "I could just eat you now, you know..."

63 looked again once more at the Aerodactyl. A few moments ago she had been saying how much she wanted to kill "Lance", now she was offering to protect the human and 63? How...odd. Hesitantly, 63 walked behind the Aerodactyl, before she let out a lod screech. 63 flinched. The noise hurt his head immensely. What was this Pokemon's problem?

Cole gladly stood behind the Aerodactyl. She frowned a bit at being addressed as "You - human," but she was calling all of the others by their species names, so she figured that it wasn't something to get annoyed about.

It seemed like the Pokemon the Dusknoir had killed wasn't dead, and the fight was now being turned against him. Whichever way it goes, I'm probably going to haave to leave. The Dusknoir will kill me, and the other two will…they might kill me, or simply cart me off to—I don't know, Violet City?

"No need to eat me," said Blizzardi. "I intend nothing other than to wander. Now that I'm awake again and everyone I knew is most likely dead, I might as well find a new master."

She looked up from the droplet of venom on the ground. "In other words, I don't really feel like getting into a battle at the moment. I'm getting a bit hungry, so if you'll excuse me, I'll go get some berries."

She started up the nearest tree, but stopped about a foot off the ground. "Unless, of course, you'd prefer I go with you?"
