Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.
Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.
Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?
What kind of freedom is the freedom to be spread across the road in a car accident? Why would you want that? It's not as if putting your seatbelt on is a particularly hard thing to do. Sure, it's your right to do so (I guess) but why would you want to assert that right?
How do they not solve the problem? My uncle was killed in a car accident; if it weren't for the seat belt he was wearing, he would have been unidentifiable. My friend (who is a 'little person') was in a car accident and would have gone straight through a window if it weren't for her seat belt. Neither of them would have worn a seat belt if it wasn't a legal requirement.
Well. Would you rather they be forced into back alleys or forced into a job with regulations and health codes? That's mostly due to irresponsible people though I guess. Prostitution's a risy business anyway because lots of women get forced into it so I'm not sure where I stand on that. Prostitutes usually depress the hell out of me.
Um, real freedom. What do you think freedom is? The freedom to do things you think I should want to do? Who the fuck are you to decide that? What kind of freedom is the freedom to be spread across the road in a car accident? Why would you want that?
I don't. I always wear a seatbelt regardless of the law. I am opposed to the law itself; I have no interest in breaking it.It's not as if putting your seatbelt on is a particularly hard thing to do. Sure, it's your right to do so (I guess) but why would you want to assert that right?
Oh. Glad the seatbelt helped there. My uncle was killed in a car accident; if it weren't for the seatbelt he was wearing, he would have been unidentifiable.
Okay, then they're dumb.Neither of them would have worn a seatbelt if it wasn't a legal requirement.
Um, real freedom. What do you think freedom is? The freedom to do things you think I should want to do? Who the fuck are you to decide that?
You don't get it. I have the right to be safe. I should not be forced to be safe. It should be my decision.I just figured the right to be safe was more important than the right to be stupid.
Amsterdam has legal prostitutes and soft drugs and it's a pretty shitty place.
Starting new threads for logical developments in discussion is usually stupid.Should a new thread be made for this seatbelt debate?
Well, you know, wSoft drugs isn't actually legal, just so you know...
Back on topic, if you're gay, Amsterdam must be like paradise.
"Whom the new prime minister crawls into bed with at night seems to be fairly far down the list of priorities for people," he added.
I just think icelanders are too frozen to say anything at this point.
what I mean is cool ok they have a gay PM nice
question is, is she a good PM (because sexuality has nothing to do with skill in ruling a country)
