Open Legend of the Stone Tablet

She stole a quick glance at that odd girl who she followed to the school... hmm... she had a feeling she didn't like her.

And all because she just followed her?

Arylett was simply outraged. Hmph! What a stupid reason not to like her. How could somebody not like her? The thought of it was insane!

Oh why did she have to be so egotistical though? She obviously wasn't a very likeable person and not everyone would like her. Even if this fact bothered her immensely.

But she shouldn't let that odd girl bother her. No, she needed to remember the good vibes of excitement when getting her first Pokémon. Just focus on that. According to the nice stranger, there was a Horsea in the Pokéball.

And then she realized something.

She didn't want a Horsea.

Arylett wanted a Treeko. Or a Poochyena.

Pfft! A Horsea, that wasn't the right Pokémon for her at all. She never even once given thought to Horsea, never once had she contemplated it.

But perhaps... perhaps she could've gotten used this idea... hmm... maybe a Horsea was appropriate after all. Arylett began to think of ways in which having a Horsea would be fitting to her.

The girl smirked, she was rather liking this now. Why did she always have to have a Treeko or a Poochyena? This... this was something completely new! Yes... she could get used to this! The good vibes washed over her again.

And she opened the Pokéball.

Out in a flash of crimson light materialized a small sky blue sea horse-like Pokémon. It looked up at Arylett with curious eyes. She gazed at it in fascination, completely forgetting all about the odd girl.

"I'm going to call you... Arkra."

Telepathy?! Sweet!
Kinara sat on the ground, trying to somehow psychically talk to her new Ralts. The Pokemon didn't seem to notice her, but she thought for a minute that she hear somebody saying I'm hungry. Who are you?.
It worked! Was that you?
No answer. Not caring, she pulled an apple out of her bag and handed to the Ralts. She opened her sketchbook and drew the Ralts, then wrote Artemis in big block letters underneath.

[[*Pokes first post.* I'm proud to announce Stormecho and Arylett are now Co-GMs for the roleplay. Als, if you scroll down you'll notice that there's a freeweb which as of now only has character bios and dorm assingments.]]

Jason wheeled his chair towards the table which held the Pokeballs, staring along the rows of Greatballs, Timerballs, Pokeballs, and Ultraballs. Finding row number four, he gently nudged the Pokeball into his lap, before picking it up and clipping the spear to his belt. Just as he was about to turn, he heard Profeesor Elm speaking just loud enugh for those inside and outside to hear.

"Arr! There be knowledgeable Pokemon you pirates have. They shall show you the way to your barracks, arg! Dinner is in two hours so get settled and off with ye scalywags! We want you in tiptop shape for the Welcome Dance tonight," here the room began to break out in excited whispers. "Yes, this school has a dance. It's how we get the anti-socail ones to make friends. There's also the date requirement to help furthur that along. Good luck and may good tidings come to you!" the blond waved cheerfully. Jason rose an eyebrow before rolling out of the way, waiting for the others to leave the room.

Eric sweatdrop and turned to Tsunami

"Want to be my date?" he asked the crocodilian Pokemon. He sprayed water in Eric's face in response. "I take that as a no..."

Ava raised her eyebrows twice and returned to her drawing. She had finished Josephine and was working on Onestar. She walked forward and occasionally looked up. She bumped facefirst into a wall.

"Ow..." she muttered, stepping to the side.

Tala gaped. A dance? A dance with dates? She was going to die, slowly, just by thinking about it. Her head throbbed painfully at the very idea. She would kill Professor Elm, and then dash off into the forest - This is an island, remember? Good luck with that. Rubbing her scar, the girl glowered at everyone nearby, and then released the Pokemon whose ball she had been holding for ten minutes. As expected, the serpentine form of a Dratini appeared. Crossing her arms, Tala sighed. "I won't name you or anything until we get somewhere quiet. Don't expect me to act nice until then, because there are too many people. Just - just lead me to the dorms, ok? I want to get this over with as quickly as possible."

The Dragon-type tilted its head, looking rather confused at this. "Uh, just think of me as a weird Dark-type." she urged her new Pokemon. "I need space." The Dratini studied her a moment longer and then started slithering - hopefully towards the dorms... Tala, still in the mood to brutally hurt anyone who tried to come close, ran after it. Why, oh why, was there a triply damned dance?

Aria almost screamed. She lowered her voice and said, "Wow, really? But I'm already social enough, aren't I?"
She glared mischievously at Onestar as she withdrew him. "Heheheh...." She then sent him back out so he could walk and Ava could finish her picture. Aria sneaked a peek. "It's turning out nicely," she commented.
When her mind turned to the crazy professor, she shuddered, then wailed, "I don't know how to dance, and I don't want to!" Tears streamed down her cheeks momentarily, before she pulled herself together slightly. It at least stopped the crying. Onestar said with telepathy, "Don't you worry. We'll find a way to work this out.

Ashley returned Swimmy back to his Pokeball and caught up to Ava and Aria. "Ooh! A dance? That sounds like fun!" Ashley exclaimed. "What are we supposed to wear? Is it formal? Casual?"

Ashley diverted her attention to Aria, who had just been crying a few moments ago. "What's the matter? You don't like dances?"

A dance? With.. a date? Crap.
Kinara folded her arms, looking like she was ready to strangle anybody in reach.
I hate dancing. Sure I'm pretty good at dancing, but they're still stupid. Who would be my date, anyhow? I'm not exactly.. oh, forget it.
She ripped a piece of paper out of her notebook and scribbled,
Thats stupid. If someones antisocial, how would forcing them to "make friends" help anything?
She crumpled up the paper and threw it in the air. Artemis gave her a funny look and walked out of the room, her new trainer following.

"I don't know how," Aria repeated. She continued in silence, waiting for this to be over. A dance was silly, but the date part was just plain weird. But, then again, no one would kill them if they didn't do it... but the "required" part seemed strong... maybe there was a way out of this mess....

Stefan listened to the dance info. Great chance to get with Eric man. Take it! he thought.
Walking over to Eric he blushed and looked at the boy sheepishly.
"Hey Eric. I was wondering if maybe you would be my date for the dance?" he asked looking down.

Ava heard something about dancing with someone. She rolled her eyes.

"The problem is, there's no Pokemon here big enough to dance with," she said quietly, so only Ashley and Aria could hear. "That would wiggle us out of this Rattata hole. But the dance idea itself is crazy. Dancing is sorta dumb, unless it's like, not casual nor formal, to some music that's not dance music. I'm bound to be confusing you, don't you think?"

"Not really," Aria replied, laughing. "Frankly, at home, I often danced to random music, just when I felt like it." She demonstrated by hopping from foot to foot eight times, then jumping forward. "That was my favorite one I made up. Then, as soon as I sat down to rest, I would fall asleep." Her inner self giggled, but outside, she just smiled. Onestar swished his tail softly with amusement. "You are a funny one." Aria stopped dancing, and she and Onestar walked together in silence. She thought out loud, "Are we allowed to dance with our Pokémon?" she was uncomfortable otherwise.

Date? Dance? Not my most favorite words in the world, if ya know what I mean. Xackori didn't want to dance with a bunch of people she didn't know, or have to worry about having a date to it. She slapped her forehead, Silver looking at her in confusion.
"Char?" What's wrong?
"Nothing, Silver. Nothing at all. Unless you know how to get a date and not be shy."
"Char." Nope.
"Now, I'm out of hopes." Silver licked her face to cheer her up. "It wouldn't really be that fun. If it's formal, that is. I'll think it over, I guess" The young Charmander cheered.

"Well, our Pokemon are kind of short for us to dance with..." Ashley giggled. "I don't know any guys in this school yet! How are we supposed to get a date? That would just be awkward."

Aria nodded furiously, with Onestar. They looked silly when they did that simultaneously, but neither seemed to mind. Aria almost fell over because she had been shaking her head so hard, but Onestar used his psychic powers to keep her standing. "Don't get your hair dirty!" He had just realized how insanely long it was, and he straightened it out with his powers. "There, you're all fixed."

Arylett scoffed, following the Horsea as it led her somewhere, bouncing and plodding along. Where she wasn't quite sure, but she figured that it knew were it was going.

Dance?

Ahhahahahaa!

Wait a moment... it wasn't as if she had to go to the stupid dance. What if... hmmm... something... inconvienient prevented for from going... Yes, something very inconvienient.

And it wasn't as if they could MAKE her go. Some people didn't like dances. And some people hated large crowds of people like the plague.

"Blech dance... I hate people..." She grumbled to herself angrily. Nobody could make her go.

...And then she sighed. What a facade, what a lie all that was. Pretending to be angry and all that, just because that was her "image". She was supposed to be angry, expected to. No, she honestly didn't care...

Besides, it might've been fun.

Half of her wanted to go, because she didn't want to be bored and knew that being around people would be good for her, she would probably have some fun at least. And the other half wanted to stay away from it like the plague. In any case, she knew what would probably happen...

She wasn't going.

Jason rolled after Tala, if you would call rolling alongside after, a small charmander snuggled in his lap. The small, reddish-orange lizard spoke with an aire of knowledge, which was to be expected from a Pokemon who grew up in a school. It still kind of freaked the teen out a bit though. As they rolled, they bumped into a male.

Grey hair sood up in puffs. The man's dark green eyes looked over Jason, as he lifted his pale arms. A black trenchcoat could be seen, hiding the rest of his body from the waiste up. Black formal pats completed the man's attire. " You there, can you hear the birds? They are singing in joy of the dace tonight. For romance shall appear here, just as it does every year. Look forward to the test." the man spoke, eyes smilig at the teen. His large bodily structure, coupled with that of Jason's wheelchair blocked the way towards the dorms.

Aria stood back, hidden from view. This new one was creepy. She desperately tried to hide herself behind a box. Onestar used his psychic power to surround himself with a bubble that kept him from being touched. Aria's heart was racing out of fear.

She didn't know what to do now. She couldn't stay here forever. At one point, she would have to come out and face the man. But not now. When it was all over, it would be safe to show herself. No use trying to freak herself out now.
