Ah, whatever. I'm just gonna post my scribbly stuff here, no point making an art thread really. Besides this place looks awesome. :D Here are random stuff I've uploaded so far (bear in mind I'm pretty much learning to draw at the moment, I'm aware I suck and am trying to change that, so please give me constructive criticism, I need it!):
01/07/09 - Sketch of Tifa Lockhart [Final Fantasy VII]
01/07/09 - Dana/Alice sketch [The L Word] (yeah I know this one is insanely bad, especially the choking arm. X3;)

I'm gonna go through some of people's stuff in the last few pages, just put my thoughts. :D

...it's depressing posting after you, VPLJ. .___. Seriously, you're just amazing at drawing. But I'm sure you know that already. XD;

Alright, firstly: I really like how you drew that hand opening the eye. It's a sweet angle, and although the hand's a bit chubby and big compared to the dead boy's head I do commend you because I can't draw angles like that myself!
I was going to say I didn't really get what was going on in the fourth panel, but he's closing the dead boy's mouth, right? It might look better if you hadn't drawn him with his fist closed, because it kind of looks like the dead boy's being punched in the throat very softly for some creepy reason. It might've looked more gentle to close his mouth with an open palm.
Re bent knees: at least you don't draw the legs bent at the pelvis, like some people have the strange habit of doing. They pose would look pretty good if you didn't draw his right foot flat on the ground like that because try it: it's uncomfortable as hell and even a bit painful. One would usually support one's weight on the bent toes.
Other than that, the wrinkles on the hands make them look a little like 30+ hands instead of teens. Even though teenagers do have wrinkly hands, an artist once said that 'a wrinkle adds a year', so you might try adding slight indications of veins or knuckles instead? Might help with the chubbiness problem too, unless they're supposed to be fat. In which case, disregard most of this critique :v

I quite like the poses and expressions on this page and you're visibly improving anatomy-wise, but be careful: your characters are all looking very much like grown men, including the girl. I'm not ace at teenagers or girls myself, but drastically reduce the width of the shoulders (shoulder-pads are so 80s, a half-face (vertically) should do) and make them aligned with the hips instead of larger, unless they're all working out between pages.
For the girls: don't make the shoulder wider than the hips on women in general. Though it's less pronounced on teenaged girls, there should still be a hint of hourglass figure. The neck needs to be slimmer too, because although girls have pretty much the same neck width as boys in real life (men and women are another story), you do need to change things in drawings. It'd help to make the hands more elegant and thin on girls as well but if you have a hard enough time drawing hands as it is don't bother.
Interesting plot development!

Good action in page twenty, and nice use of action lines. Boy with dark glasses' hand seems to be attached backwards though, and dull edges on hatchet plus hard angle make it look like a mallet. Some action lines on the hatchet in the next-to-last panel would've been nice to really hammer in the fact that Daichi's just been stabbed deeply in the shoulder.
Nasty cut too, pretty sure his tendon's through. Say goodbye to your arm, man, my dad had that happen to the back of his legs with pieces of car and he can't run anymore.
Much appreciated. I had a lot of problems drawing these last few pages as the content was much more adventurous than anything I'd done thus far (and that's not going to change over the next few pages), so I'm happy to be told where I'm going wrong and how to improve.

AND NOW FOR MY OWN STUFF. NOT ALL OF IT OR I'D KILL THE THREAD but er what I drew these last few days.

I've been on a huge Gilbert and George kick too (don't know who they are? Shame on you, go look them up right now) since I bought their book yesterday, so I drew a couple of pictures of them.
Young G&G, drawing of a photo of them taken in 1969. They met in 1967 so they've been together for over fourty years! I find that intensely adorable. In this photo, they had the initials G and G drawn on their foreheads, with pictures of each other between the letters. Teehee.
I can't see anything terribly wrong with it, although the guy on the right has a sort of eery expression. Something seems a bit off about the shading underneath the neck, but that might just be me...

Just them standing around. Drawn on the train back from Rotterdam.
Either the left guy's lower head is a bit too pronounced, or his upper head doesn't come out far enough...either way, it doesn't look like they'd connect, if that makes sense o.o
His neck also looks weird but that may be intentional, so I don't really know...
A guy I drew on the train. Which is why he's even more crooked than my usual drawings.
Wait, is he a guy you drew while on the train, or someone who was on the train? Either way, the shading looks sort of scribbly, but I suppose it can't be helped if it was drawn on the train. His nose is a bit off too and his right thumb at least...
Ivan and Alain when they wre about fifteen, back in '91, with some Depeche Mode lyrics from the song In Sympathy. Loving Ivan's duds. The buttons he has on are the old Russian flag from '54 to '91 and the current one, instated in '91.
The colour's really nice and the smoke is good, although the blush seems really off for some reason
And a pop art picture of Andy Warhol's Blow Job. And no, it's not porny and it's pretty safe for work.
You've emulated the style really well, it's nice and smooth and the texture's good too. I'm not sure what's with the random splash of red in the top right, but it looks good all the same.

Uhh, I was going to comment on Kai's, Pcbby and Cirrus's stuff as well but I've ran out of time, so I'll just say that's they're pretty good, dump my own art and be on my way :D

Mitadake High: Page 22 (Which is horrible and I hate it in almost every way D:)
Team Fortress 2

Um... I'm trying to get back to being active here. I fail, I know. But, uh... have a picture of Erin from Exit Fate throwing a fish tied to a brick at Daniel? 8D;;
The colouring is good and it's a nice style (I wish my style was less realistic :<), but anatomy looks a bit off on Erin. I mean, not that I could do any better, but it doesn't really look like a "Having thrown something" pose.

Wow this place has been dead lately...

Mitadake High: Page 23

@Ice: Eheheh, that isn't really my style. xD; I just wanted to try chibis.

About Erin's pose - is it the anatomy itself, or the way the body's positioned? It's supposed to be more of an 'absentmindedly tossing this fishbrick at you' pose than a 'throwing this at you' pose.

Finally getting back!

I haven't been able to draw much. ;-; Hopefully, I'll be able to comment tomorrow. For now, I leave you with this.

I ACTUALLY HAS STUFF TO POST NOW! YAY :D

Manga - Project (unkown for now until i think of a name for it) - Darkheart

Manga - Project (unknown) - Darkheart (photo) i thought id put this one here to show that his skin ISNT white-ish grey but the scanner didnt pick the colour up properly #_¬

Manga - Project (unknown) - Luscia sketch

As well as all this im starting my own katakana notebook, i dont have much in it right now but i shall continue to add more to it #~^

Katakana Notebook - cover

Katakana Notebook - page 1 (in progress)

me hopes you enjoy my new stuff since ive been inactive lately so im sorry about that #.<

Good lord this place is inactive. I didn't notice it happen so gradually but I've gone back and read old posts and it used to be so much more active >:l
I say we ask to be moved back to the club forum as this was started as a club and there was more discussion when it was there D<

Also if you're going to dump your art then you should comment on other people's art too if you have the time >(
I always make a point to do so when I dump my art. So yeah

The colour scheme on the first one is nice and the anatomy and fold lines are good, and I could never draw decent magic effects so :(

However, something seems off about the hair in the second picture, and there seems to be something wrong with her left leg, and as a whole, the pose seems rather artificial.

And NOW I will dump :D
Me, GF0, Brew and PDII :D
Mitadake High: Page 24

Also I took the following pages pages into Photoshop and coloured them :3
Two, Eleven and Fifteen

:D

I've been practicing cats a bit more since I started reading Warriors. Here's me and my friends as our own little Warrior clan. Sillyface has curly fur because the friend has curly hair too, and Leafsong is meant to be me.
catbottle.png

And this is a cat in a bottle. I actually drew this before I started practicing.

right, i havent got anything to post, and this isnt a crit thing either #.< im simply posting this time to ask as many of u as i can to check out my imoto chan's (Amai-Hime) intro thread and give her a nice, warm tCoD welcome, please guys? much appriciated those who do and thanks to all who do so #~^

Well, I haven't been here in a while (I don't draw much), but I drew something new and not as bad as the last one. I wanted to practice shading, so I drew something round. I was also hungry, and that seemed to influence what I drew.
So, I took about fifty billion hours to shade it (I am a huge perfectionist). Criticism is very welcome. I know practically nothing about art. I want to take art in school but I had to drop it for Chemistry (ick, IB Biology next year). So I want to know what to fix.

...Oh my God, I LOVE it. =D Look at me and Zora and...

I love your style, seriously. You have some really good colouring and shading, and I just like the way you do mouths~ Excellent, seriously.

And I'm sorry for being dead for a long time too. D= Unfortunately, I have no art with me at the moment. Though I am working on it.

Alrighty, this place has been on the verge of being dead for such a long time that it's a blatant shadow of its former self. I know that a lot of this has been my fault due to my inactivity. If it's possible to revive Obsessive Scribblers, I'm going to give it my all to do that. Obviously I'm not able to revive this place on my own (without being infracted for double posting atleast.) So for you guys who are still up for reviving this place; I'd love to get your support.

Kai has the DraMo or ArtMo ready for registering here, and I highly suggest you enter it.

I'm considering a few ideas to get this place back and running.
-A children's storybook sort of thing. It begins with the first page, another member draws the next one, and so one. It's a bit like the three word story, where the story goes on as whatever the next member draws and narrates.
-Style swap. You try drawing your art in a another member's style. Maybe we could make this as a sort of fun guess sort of thing; where we guess who drew who's style?
-Themed holiday pictures? Despite how generic those are; they're still fun.
-Shameless adversiting banners?
-Drawing with your bad hand.
-Working on a subject that you have difficulty with.
-Close up pictures, and members try guessing what it is.

If you have any other ideas? I'd love to hear them.

I'm still alive. Just... haven't done anything of note.
I love Eclipse's picture. People still don't use the right Zora, but that picture is awesome so I won't get on your back about it.

I'd so do the picture book. Might not be able to do the another-member's-style thing. But I'd love to see someone's take on mine.

I'm still here, but I've just been sort of unmotivated and lazy. Haven't drawn much.

Those ideas sound really fun~ Although like Zora, I'm not sure if I could draw in somebody else's style either. If somebody would like to attempt mine, that'd be cool. I might tend another person's style, but... eh. I'm kinda stuck to mine
