Open Return of the Pokemon - The Egg Holders

"My guess is that we have to go to the ruins in the center of Celestic..." Salene suggested.

((Ultra short post is short.))

(Time for a little scenery change...)

'Hmmm... It appears these humans are determined, I think I'll set up the hatching grounds now...'
Deep in the Celestic ruins there was a faint trembling. An excavator digging in the area ran out as the floor of the chamber began to move and shift. The sand swirled and an octagonal crystal podium rose from the sand. The podium had hundereds of tiny characters carved along all sides of it. As the sand stopped swirling it hardened into rock again and several torches lining the wall began to burn. A narrow shaft opened and the light from above shone down onto the crystal podium, filling the room with crystal-like lights.

(Raid Celestic at the next afternoon? Remember there are NPCs you control. mainly grunts and the like. You are in control of the Technology Horded by the Alliance, Just saying.)

((Good idea.))

Leonard had waited long enough. Despite how patient of a man he was, nothing would happen if he didn't receive contact soon enough.

It was time to take matters into his own hands.

Flicking a switch on his desk, Leonard picked up the phone on the desk and spoke into it. His words would be heard all over the base:

"Attention, employees. I intend to send a number of you in a raid against Celestic Town at some point soon. Those who are willing, gather whatever equipment you think is necessary and go to the motor pool. We don't need all of you, just enough to capture at least one of those egg-carriers."

He then put down the phone, and again approached the map of Sinnoh. Before the group moved out, he would have a plan for them.

And if necessary, I will come myself to direct the movements.

"I can always get my own room." Jared said, and then added, "Some people even call me a rich bastard. Let's just say that I have a lot of money. So, no need to house me, but thanks for the offer."

Jared went over to the desk to get a room.

Stephanie walked into the Pokémon Center and got a room to stay in. When she got in, she took her egg out of her Backpack. It was purpleish black and the goat-punwheel said is was a Ghost Pokémon. Stephanie had always hated Ghosts. Her favorite types were Psychics. "Why did I have to get stupid ghost?" she asked no one.

((when do they hatch?))

((Soon after everyone arrives in Celestic they are told to go into the hatching chamber. And about then I believe they will be cornered in by the Alliance.))

"129... Two rooms away, apparently." Jared said as he walked back over to Liza. "Once we get to our rooms, I'll take my egg back, ok? Even with short distance, we have to be careful."

He had gotten down too late. The person calling to him had already left into the hotel. Stealing or breaking in wasn't part of his policy, so he decided that the roof would be fine. Yet again, he clambered up the roof with the egg on tow,and sat cross legged facing the egg. "You'll get out soon, little buddy." Jack whispered to his egg, which cracked in reply. He took his still damp short and wrapped it around the egg for protection. With heavy eyes and a tired body, he fell asleep.

"Ok, the eggs should still be safe when we get to our rooms..." she checked on the eggs and they looked fine. "We may even run into other people who have eggs." she said walking for the elevator, waiting for Jared this time.

Jared followed, and looked on the back of his key to see the floor. Floor 5. Jared went over and pressed the button as the door closed, and the elevator started moving. Finally, the elevator door opened, and Jared stepped out.

Leonard had placed an amount of figures that he estimated would be the same amount of soldiers inside the Celestic area.

"I have to assume that they have been in that city long enough to know where all of the right exits would be, and if enough of their pokemon hatch, my soldiers will find themselves in a bit of... trouble.

"I need at least enough to completely box in the town... given how many of mine want the pokemon back, I should have enough volunteers.... yes, yes that makes sense, and-"

His phone began to ring. Sighing in frustration of being interrupted, he picked it up.

"Sir, this is General Luke Kay, awaiting your orders."

Ah, Luke. That soldier's one I can always trust.

"Luke, I need to know first how many of the men decided to join in."

"I'd say... about eighty, sir."

Eighty? Better than I thought.

"Very well then, General. I will contact you shortly after I've finished drawing up a battle plan. Do not expect it to take long."

((What would you say the Alliance has in terms of Weapons, vehicles, and technology in general?))

Liza followed Jared out and looked at the doors. "124, 125, 126...ah! 127!" she looked down the hall and saw Jared's room. She opened her bag and handed him his egg, as no one was in the hall. "Here you go! Don't forget I'm two rooms down!"

"Good idea." Drake said, turning around to reply to the girl. "I'm gonna go get some sleep, and I'll check it out first thing tommorow morning."

He turned back and walked into the elevator.

"Oh, and the name's Drake, by the way. See you."

The doors of the elevator closed, and opened a few moments later. He entered a long hallway, and heard a door slam shut just as he looked down it.

Room 131, it says. That's gonna be.... Ah. Right here.

Drake opened the door to his room, set his egg down on the a table next to his bed, and turned on the TV. A news report was on, and it seemed to be coming from Hearthome City.

" Earlier today, an egg was sighted by several individuals in Hearthome, and caused quite a commotion. Pokemon have not been seen here in over five years, and many people were quite shocked to hear of the news. There were a few rumors, currently unconfirmed, of more eggs being scattered over Sinnoh. We will bring you more on this as news comes in. In other news, a new...

"Crap." He mumbled, swithcing the channel to a show about a recent concert. "This just keeps getting better and better."

Drake picked up the ice bucket, and went to get some ice and a soda from the vending machines down the hall.

((The alliance has military equipment equivalent to that of the military today. However they would try to retain a good impression with the nation. They do have night vision goggles in case you would ask. No tanks though. Helicopters yes though. No jets except for the private one.))

Blake awoke to the sound of something falling to the floor, he looked over at the egg and saw it had fallen, with the glass case, to the ground. As he stooped to pick it up he noticed a faint light coming from a small hole in the wall. He stooped down and peered through the hole. He saw a familiar looking boy leave the room with a bucket. With Blake's line of sight all he could see was a small blue shape sitting on a table. With a start he realised it was an egg. He stood up and put his shoes on before placing the egg back onto his bedside table. He stepped into the hallway and stopped by the boy's room door. He would wait for him to come back.

Zack had decided that they would be crazy to travel this late so he rented a room in the hotel. He stood on the porch and gazed out over the landscape while absent mindedly moving the small gem between his fingers.

Cairo grunted and sat up. Whoever had rented 129, the room across from him, was still walking around. It was the same with 127, which was also across the hall. Well, it's only, like, five past eight. His thoughts were disrupted by a crack. He turned to his egg, which was already starting to crack open and was now just about big enough for maybe a skinny Weedle to fit through. He shook his head and put the egg case back on the ground beside his bed. "Soon, little buddy."

~~~
David scratched at his head. Leonard hadn't even given them twelve hours and he was already calling in the army. Or at least, that was what he gathered from the radio chatter. "Ok, so. All the egg carriers are here. Probably they're going to the Celestic Ruins. That has a lot of myth surrounding it, to do with Arceus and the Lake Trio. I suppose I could set up there...yeah, that should work." He set his alarm to wake him at four and rolled over, desperate for sleep.
Having reached the bottom of the hill, Jessica notices for the first time how late it's gotten. Deciding that rest is essential and the egg's hatching can wait, she goes to what once was a Pokémon Center, now a hotel. Paying the entry fee, she heads up to her room, at which point her egg gives a loud "CHK" sound. Wondering whether that means the Pokémon inside is some kind of bug-type, she lies down on her bed and is asleep as soon as her head touches the pillow.
