• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Arkra Guardians

Yay! Okay.

This will be fun.

Why do I always state that things are fun in size 1?

I can't wait to start. I like the idea of this RP.

(Tiny bit of NPC control here so that I don't break that two-sentence rule)

As if in answer, there was a knock on the door. Simon opened it and invited the girl on the other side in. She sat down and waited, twirling a finger in her hair, with a dreamy look in her eyes.

((Okay, here we go))

Kailani was in a vile mood.

And for him, that's saying something.

He'd been forcibly administered the genes of some other person, learned that he'd gained the power over gravity and density, tested it out and...

Went right through a wall while transparent, and then solidified while in the wall.

It'd taken him nearly thrity minutes to fix himself out of that. He'd been growing accustomed to his new power when he'd learned that he would have to protect the same person whose genes had been forcibly administered into him. And what was he going to get out of all this?

Nothing at all.

So Kailani had justification for his grumbling as he made his way toward the meeting site.

Kate slid into the room shortly behind the first girl, jiggling the little crying bundle in her arms, trying to calm him. His cries weren't very loud, but they were shrill, and could become annoying if he cried for too long. But the boy stopped crying quickly, prefering to snuggle into his mother's bosom.

Kate smiled down at the boy and just stood against a wall. Her Glaceon, Fang, who had been following her, settled at her feet.

Aria was walking to the meeting place casually. She was a serious person, so she didn't get excited much. Her Luxray was beside her as she entered the place where she would see the others. "I'm here," she announced.

Corison hurried down the path. He suspected he was nearly late for the meeting. With Valor running beside him and Soel cradled in his arms, Corison got to the end of the path and turned. He would have to get to the meeting place soon.
After about five more minutes, Corison was sitting down in the meeting room. "Oh, so I'm the first one here? That's surprising. I thought I was late. Oh, well."

"You're not the first one here." Aria said to Corison. Her Luxray swished her tail.
"Oh, and this is Lexi." She pointed to her Pokemon.

"Oh," said Corison. "I didn't notice you there. This young Ralts I have is Soel, and my Eevee is Valor."
"Vee!" greeted Valor.
"And my name is Corison. Nice to meet you," he said respectfully, nodding to Aria.

Arkra looked at the few Guardians who had arrived dully.

"So, that's them?" She said flatly, she wasn't feeling up to being in a room with a bunch of people. Especially people who were injected with her genes, that was just too bizarre. She envied them so much. They had the powers, but they didn't have to pay the price.

"There's more. Be patient, Arkra."

Arkra was not in a good mood, it was obvious from her grave expression. Simon could tell she wasn't in the mood to talk about it. All she wanted to do was to forget about it all, just go on the mission mindlessly and deny the fact that she would have to cease to exist. She wanted to cry... she wanted to cry so badly! But she had to keep a brave face, she couldn't cry in front of them...

She could feel the strong emotions building up, the strong desire not to be seen. There was a surge of power within her. Arkra was beginning to blend into the environment, until she disappeared completely. She kept phasing in and out of visibility. Simon sighed. The girl still hadn't had control over her powers... But they only acted up the worst when Arkra was distressed. He knew that she must have been under a lot of stress.

As Kailani, (Still in a bad mood), approached the meeting spot, he noted the prescence of other trainers, and pokemon with them.

"Great," he muttered, "More people I have to deal with. One's enoguh, but this? Give me a break."

Aria focused on Arkra, who was phasing in and out randomly. She sensed Arkra's aura, which was radiating intensely. Aria decided not to mess with the girl. Arkra was under too much stress already, and Aria didn't want to take the chance of increasing that stress.
Lexi's tail glowed slightly out of contentment as Aria rubbed her soft black fur.

Jewel glanced at the upset girl. Usually she only comforted Mila, but she hated seeing anyone in this much distress. She sat next to the girl's chair and cocked her head, asking for permission to curl up by her as a possible method of soothing.

(That's what my cat does anyway.)

(Bed? Arkra's not in a bed. XD She's sitting down, they're in a conference room. I should've been more clear, I'm sorry. D:)

Arkra looked down at the Espeon, still having that empty gaze upon her face. The Pokemon seemed to want to comfort her. She appreciated the gesture and nodded, understanding what she wanted. It reminded her of something. Momentarily, the phasing had stopped.

"Simon... where are my Pokemon?"

"Oh-"

"I have them right here." Alan, the head of the laboratory, had just walked in. He had several Pokeballs in his hands. She didn't really like him that much... it was him who had insisted on and supported her mission whole-heartedly. The man handed them to her.

"Well now Simon, I think you did a good job of getting Arkra out of bed." He smiled, she couldn't help feeling a little better, no matter how much she tried to hate the man, he was just too charming. He had a strange charisma about him.

((Oh, sorry. Edited.))

Jewel jumped up with a certain grace and laid down on the arm of the chair, pressing herself gently into Arkra's arm. However, New Moon showed the opposite behaviour in growling at Kailani, saying, "We'll give you a break alright. A break in your spine." Mila prepared to grab him if he leaped, but no need, he just narrowed his eyes as he sat down, his rings glowing slightly.

Alan blinked at the Arkra Guardians and grinned boyishly.

"Welcome, welcome! I'm so glad you could join us here." He walked to each and everyone one of them and began to shake hands with them. Arkra smirked a bit, it was nearly impossible to hate Alan. She looked at the Espeon. "Is it okay... if I pet you...?"

"The others should be arriving soon. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your help!" He continued to grin his silly grin, Arkra knew he was doing it just to make her feel better, to lighten the mood. Things were so tense... Alan... he was the one whose decision was to put her to death... and yet, he was trying so hard for forgiveness...

Kate nodded sort of destractedly at the man who was speaking, buisy with Ryan, who had started to wail again. She bounced him a bit as Fang looked up at her.

"I'm sorry about him... He's tired..." She half-cooed, still trying to calm the boy.

Serkan ran up a hallway and turned, to find an open doorway in front, and what appeared to be people and Pokemon inside. "Oh, good, we've found it.", he remarked.
Amrit, his Medicham who was following him, replied, "Perhaps next time you should not sleep so much."
Serkan responded confidently, "Oh whatever. Better late than never, especially for something as important as this.", and then he walked inside, caught his breath, and announced, "We're late, but we're here. Did I miss anything?"

Alan looked at Kate, with an understanding look on his face. "Oh no, it's all right! I know what it's like to have children..." He smiled for a minute, his eyes looked dreamily on, as if he were revisiting a memory that Arkra had not known of. The door popped open, Alan snapped to and looked at the new comer.

"Oh no, you're not late at all! We're still waiting for some of the others. Welcome, welcome, I'm Alan." He went to Serkan and shook his hand, still grinning. "Please, have a seat."

Ming walks into the room, arms crossed and a un-impressed look on her face. Following behind her was a Lucario by the name of Halan, looking a bit happier than his trainer. Ming lowers her sunglasses to scan the room silently before making her way towards her sister and her crying child.

"Kate, you really should have left him at home with Edmund. This is a serious mission where we well have to go through many sorts of dangers. This is no place for a child"

Halan walks over to Ming and places a paw on her shoulder.

"Ming...if she wishes to bring little Ryan, then let her. It is up to her, as a mother, if she wants the baby with her on this mission"

Ming sighs, looking over her shoulder at the dog.

"Whatever..."

She looks over at the rest of the group, then crosses her arms again.

"Geuss I should say that I'm sorry I'm late and that my name is Ming...and the dog to my left is Halan. Now that that is out of the way, when are we leaving"
