MINECRAFT

There's a bug with pistons and redstone that crashes your world and as far as I can tell it's unrecoverable.

So if Notch can't fix that my Kanto is gone forever :(
 
Bad news: RP server is closed, all slots are full. Sorry about that.

Good news: Work on my custom texture pack is coming along, if anybody cares.

Also: Pistons! Haven't used them yet but I've been thinking of cool things to do with them. What ideas do you guys have with pistons?
 
A hidden spiral staircase, three wide and three long, however tall you want. The center would be all sticky pistons, and with a pull of a lever the pistons would bush out blocks that could be used as a staircase.

Also, in multiplayer, make a room full of lava that could be opened from below using pistons, having it spill on somebody.
 
Yay! Notch fixed it.

I don't know if anyone here is very good with redstone circuits, is it possible to make a piston delay when it's getting turned on, but if it's getting turned off, it retracts straight away? I'm having timing difficulties :(

Never mind, managed to do it by splitting the same signal into two, delaying one of them and passing them through an AND gate.
 
So out of boredom I put as a seed "Doc Scratch was here"

So what happens? I get a single cube of sand over the water. Just one block.

I love Minecraft but I'm too cheap to buy it so I convinced my brother to let me have a world on his account ;)

Does anyone here know of a map editor tool other than Worldpainter or MCedit?
