[OPEN] Galactic Ascending

THIS IS HOW WE BLEED
Galactic Ascending
team_galactic_logo_hd_by_ramy1907-d3b7ss8.png

22 years ago, Team Galactic disbanded. Its members scattered over the regions, and admins went into hiding. Cyrus, its leader, disappeared. No-one heard from them for 17 long years, until…

5 years ago, a young woman named Starr revived the fallen organization, bringing it from its knees in a daring attempt at something her grandfather Cyrus could only dream – capturing Arceus himself. She came very close – she had the Red Chain around His own hoof before a ragtag band of trainers could stop her hellbent vision. She disappeared on the back of her Honchkrow after apparently suffering a mental breakdown when faced with imprisonment for her crimes, the Red Chain disappearing with her. She was not seen from since, much like her grandfather before her. Galactic once again disbanded, and the search for the woman herself ceased after a year with no clues.

Not more than a month ago, a seemingly unrelated incident has occurred. Many years ago, a strange anomaly emerged on the shores of the Cinnabar and Seafoam islands in Kanto; a strange object resembling a mass of static hovering in midair. It was apparently a living creature, a Pokemon, as it took to attacking trainers. It was horrifically powerful at times, and pathetically weak at others, and very few could find and capture it.

They have reappeared again, this time much more fleeting and difficult to find, as well as all over the regions, though, oddly, near Sinnoh in particular. There have been no captures of the strange anomalous Pokemon yet, though a number of trainers have been horribly mauled and a few even killed by the beast. And, at about the same time as the reappearances, Team Galactic members have been spotted again, and even Starr herself being spotted near Mount Coronet, a Red Chain at her hip. Trainers from all over, especially those with some sort of tie to the incident five years ago, set out to stop her.

And so begins your journey up the peak, to the Spear Pillar. Time is running out before it may be too late to stop Team Galactic’s sinister plan.

Ah, why not? I'm in.

Name: Spencer Obrien (Or just Spence. Whatever.)
Age: 19
Gender:

Appearance: Spencer has violet eyes and light blonde hair. He stands at a little over average height. Typically, he wears a black t-shirt over a light blue compression shirt (Or whatever you'd call UnderArmor). He also wears worn jeans with a hole on the right knee, and black trail shoes. Occasionally, he wears a white, black and blue Visor Beanie. On both his shirt and his hat there is the basic form of a light blue eagle with a lightning bolt going through it. Picture here.

Personality: With the exception of asking questions when he's confused, Spencer is generally the type to think, "If it were my business, they'd have told me already," and so keeps to himself. (Played out from there)

Background: Spencer's family was always financially secure. His bad luck was just WHO he was living with. Three older sisters, the youngest of whom was four years his senior, the other two twins two years older than that, and a younger brother eight years behind him. As a result, he never had the opportunity to play rough with a brother like he'd have preferred. Most boys went to play ball, spar pokemon, or to the arcade. He was a guinea pig for his sisters' makeover ideas.

He began actively training his Pokemon (One guess which species it is X3) during the summer breaks from when he turned 14 onward. Spencer went through High School (Thus the clothes from the school store), foregoing the not-uncommon Pokemon League Challenge many of his friends opted for early in life.

He has no ties to the incident five years ago, though he did grow up in Celestic Town.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History:

[Lesly] Lucario (Female) <Inner Focus>

His first pokemon didn't come until he was 13. His oldest sister was more interested in academic pursuits. She couldn't afford to keep her Pokemon, Lesly, with her, thus she was passed to Spencer. Supposedly, she'll expect her back soon, so it's more of a loan than anything else.

Other: Lesly and Spencer act like they have a 'Tough Love' relationship, but in all reality, they wouldn't know what to do without eachother. They're eachother's only tie to Spencer's sister, so they're rather protective.

YOSHI PICKED A LUCARIO. That right there is a twist to rival M. Night Shyamalan.

Name: Michael Gene Kurohari
Age: 34
Gender: Male

Appearance: Steven is of a lanky build, having less muscle mass then the average male of his age. His hair is brown, and quite messy, hardly ever being brushed. He has several small scars on his upper brow, the results for his pursuit of rare pokemon, and maintaining a breeding facility. He wears a pair of horn-rimmed glasses, attached to a cord so as to not lose them should they fall off. He wears a brown t-shirt emblazoned with his ranch's crest (a shield with a cross in the center, the top right quarter having an egg, the top left a Camerupt, bottom left a trail with footprints, bottom right a Raichu), under a black shirt. His upper torso is somewhat unscathed, only possesing a blotchy scar on his back as a result of an unpleasent bruise. He wears grey slacks and large boots, the slacks possessing a couple extra pockets to contain his notebook and pokedex.

Personality: Predominantly pleasent, Michael prefers to judge people after learning how they behave, and will rarely take someones word for another person's behaviour. Michael, also being a father, is somewhat concerned, and will often ensure the protection of his younger comrades. (The rest will be PO)

Background: Michael was born in Holly Town, a south western coastal town in Sinnoh, where he was raised by his father, a renown, if not local master breeder, and his mother, a flora researcher who took great interest in the research as to the effects of berries, combined and solitary. The combination of these two personalities greatly influenced Michael's upbringing. It was long until he began his own journey, but instead of defeating gyms, and collecting badges, Michael set out to find and capture rare and unique pokemon, as well as bring amazing combinations of movesets through breeding into life. His adventure would have lacked direction had it not been for his fateful encounter with Jane Threshent, a rookie trainer set to earn her way through the pokemon league, predominantly with her first pokemon, Hytanix, a then Deino.

The two set out across the five regions, discovering amazing secrets, witnessing extrodinary battles, and eventually, falling in love with each other. Following Jane's victory in the Hoenn league, they returned to Sinnoh, where she chose to re-challenge the league for the sake of earning the title of champion and holding it. Michael would set up a ranch, taking over and expanding his parents' small farm. Not long after Jane securement of her second term standing as champion, the two had their only son, Nanka. They would care for him and raise him with a great appreciation for the two aspects of pokemon they represented.

Eight years following his sons birth, Michael caught wind of the gathering of the second team galactic, and assisted in the defeat of Starr, his wife and son on vaction in Unova at the time. Another two years, and Nanka began his journey, Michael following closely behind, after having made a descision to obtain the badges of Sinnoh for the sake of it. The next year Nanka would set out for Hoenn, whilst Michael would choose to remain at his ranch, raising, breeding, and caring for his and other peoples pokemon.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History:

[Spitz] Raichu (Male) <Lightningrod>
Thunderbolt/Focus Blast/Signal Beam/Nasty Plot
Spitz was Michael's first pokemon, and was actually presented to Michael when Michael was five, a tradition of the Kurohari family. Spitz is massively loyal to Michael, and will defend his closest freind regardless of his own condition, and as a result of this, refuses to return to his pokeball, except in the most dire of circumstance. Spitz is greatly musically inclined, and has managed to learn how to use a guitar over the years, compensating for his stubby arms. Spitz wears a brown aviator's coat, as well as a brown fedora (like chip from Chip 'n Dales Rescue Rangers).

[Augustus] Electivire (Male) <Motor Drive>
Wild Charge/Cross Chop/Fire Punch/Screech
Augustus is Michaels second pokemon, and was caught outside of the wind farm near Florama Town as an Elekid. Augustus is presumed to have been resding there due to imitating the windmills so as to strrengthen himself. Augustus is hot-headed, brash, and down-right aggresive, to the point that he seems to have claimed himself as Spitz's rival, a term Spitz seems to accept in the fullest.

[Athena] Lucario (Female) <Inner Focus>
Close Combat/Zen Headbutt/Earthquake/Swords Dance
Michael did not actually catch Athena, having found her egg lying in the middle of a clearing with no evidence of anyone returning to reclaim the egg. She hatched soon after while Michael was in Unova, and was initially close to Michael, but over time has put a freindly distance in their freindship, now having grown into a Lucario, and prefers to train in seclusion, enjoying the peace and quiet. She is the nmother of several other Lucario, including Nanka's Ricolan.

[Solari] Ninetales (Female) <Drought>
Flamethrower/Solar Beam/Extrasensory/Nasty Plot
Solari was caught in Kanto, having been found on One Isle, near Mt. Ember. Her family had, through unknown means, came into the ability to force strong solar rays around their presence. Solari is actually the last of her family, the rest having perished in an eruption of Mt. Ember. Solari is quiet and observant, prefering not to battle, but unleashing unpredictable power when forced to.

[Hephaestus] Camerupt (Male) <Magma Armor>
Eruption/Earth Power/Solar Beam/Sunny Day
Hephaestus was caught in Johto near the Ruins of Alph. He is extremly laid-back, and enjoys resting as his natural heat allows the eggs put in specially designed saddles to hatch. When not on hatching duty, Hephaestus will often laze under trees, but if it comes to a fight, he proves that there is little that can stop him.

[Autumn] Leafeon (Female) <Leaf Guard>
Leaf Blade/X-scissor/Aerial Ace/Grasswhitsle
Autumn is considered Michael's greatest mystery. She was found with her clan of Eevee, Leafeon, Deerling, and Sawsbuck. This clan resides in a secret area of the forest near Fortree City. She was caught only after Michael aided the protectors of the clan, a couple of humans who watched over and cared for the members of the clan that lived there. Autumn possesses an unseen colouration, her leaves being of Autumn coloration instead of the normal green, an apparant side effect of the clan of Eevee having bred with Sawsbuck and Deerling for so long, that all that evolvd into Leafeon would inherit the colours of the season they were bron in, in a similar form to that of the father species. Despite being the youngest of Michael's select six, Autumn is most defined as the mother-like role in the group, preventing and stopping any arguement as it arises, and makes sure everyone is feeling happy and pleasent.

Other: Gene is not a nickname, it is seriously his middle name.

Name: Albwin Gyllengren
Age: 20
Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall, muscular, with short red hair and a beard. He wears jeans and a plaid fleece button-up with a matching hat, if it's cold. His sleeves are usually rolled up his massive forearms. Sometimes, if it's hot out, Albwin will not wear his fleece, but he does wear a wife beater underneath.

Personality: He's going to be gruff and likable, but mostly PO'd.

Background: Despite them being really Nordic, Albwin's family lives in the Orange Islands. They tend to make a game out of where they send their children on their journeys, but Albwin was simply given a choice. He went to Sinnoh, and he has spent ten years there, training and perfecting his technique. He owns all of the Sinnoh Badges.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History:

[Fjorgyn] Torterra (Female) <Overgrow>
She was given to Albwin by his parents, on his tenth birthday. He had a choice between a Turtwig, a Cyndaquil, and a Mudkip. The pokemon he chose would dictate the region he would be sent to.

[Odin] Bibarel (Male) <Simple>
Albwin encountered Odin in his travels early on; he was the first pokemon Albwin actually caught.

[Hel] Honchkrow (Male) <Insomnia>
Hel is really creepy. Albwin found this out the hard way when Hel jumped out from behind a gravestone when Albwin was visiting the Lost Tower.

[Mjolnir] Bronzong (x) <Levitate>
Albwin's newest pokemon, he actually encountered Mjolnir on his way up to Spear Pillar. Named because Thor has a certain affection for it.

[Bragi] Kriketune (Male) <Swarm>
A real musical pokemon, Bragi is the second pokemon Albwin caught on his journey.

[Thor] Rotom (x) <Levitate>
Thor attacked Albwin one day while he was exploring an old building. It has a mighty Thunder attack.

Other: Oh look I am one of those people who is done.

Oh and his description sounds more Canadian, but eh.

Name: Dustin Agre
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Appearance: Dustin has a very circular face surrounded by a mop of curly light-blonde hair. His eyes are dark blue, small, with contacts in them. You wouldn't catch him alive wearing his glasses. He has a small amount of stubble surrounding his mouth and on his chin, but besides that he's clean shaven. He stands 5'11", thin-set, with short-ish legs and a long torso. His arms make up for the lack in leg height, stretching to insane distances, ending with thin, long-fingered hands.

He wears a tight, wrinkly, shale grey t-shirt with a few thin red stripes running diagonally from left to right (if looking at him) across it. He wears faded blue jeans as well, with one small hole on his left knee. His socks are thin and black, and he wears blue, white, and orange skate shoes that look like they've been taken care of a bit better than the rest of his outfit. He also wears a small gold ring that belonged to his brother on his right hand. He has a new brown belt wrapped around his jeans, which looks quite out of place among the slightly raggedy outfit.

Personality: Generally, Dustin is that kid who always wanted to hang out with you. He grew up among kids who always seemed so much better than him, and he grew up to be a total suck-up. If you talk to him he'll always listen to you, he won't flinch if you talk crap about him, and he's generally happy hanging out with anybody. After he entered adulthood, he realized he didn't have to act that way much anymore, he had no family ties that held him back, and as such has readily opened up his personality a bit more. To people he knows of course. He has a habit of going back to his high school ways and letting people that he doesn't know push him around a bit. (When he gets to know the rest of the group, he'll display more of a personality, so that'll be PO'd)

Background: As stated earlier, Dustin's family wasn't exactly top notch. He was born to two young parents who had had him accidentally, and so he had been put up for adoption almost the instant after leaving the hospital. He never knew who his real parents were, but he wasn't exactly anxious to meet people who had abandoned him like that. He ended up being adopted by a lesbian couple, Kelly and Lillian, along with another older boy, Vince, who became Dustin's older brother.

Dustin and his new family grew up in a small musty apartment in one of the shadier areas of Jubilife City. Kelly didn't have a job, and Lillian had one that never really paid well at one of the local huge businesses. Whenever Dustin would ask what Lillian did, he would always get told it was "adult stuff". Now, he still wonders what it could've meant, but he had an idea. In elementary school Dustin was able to get along with everybody just fine enough, as all of his friends were too young to judge. Eventually however, people found out about the state of his living conditions, and the sexuality of his parents, and he began the subject of many teasing spells. He moved to a high school that was much farther away when he left middle school, and decided it was best to not let himself get attached to too many people.

Dustin had just left high school when Team Galactic began to rise again, under Starr. At this time Dustin's brother, Vince, decided he would try and stop Galactic, and he joined the group of trainers. Dustin had wanted to go as well, but his brother had told him something that had severely hurt him emotionally. He never told anyone the exact words, but most could figure that Vince must have told off Dustin pretty badly about something. After Vince returned, the two brothers got along again, they were both slightly distant when talking to each other.

Six months ago, Lillian came down with some sort of disease. Eventually it was diagnosed as AIDs, as she had had HIV for a long while, and it had seemingly not matured. She died soon afterward, leaving Kelly in control of the family. The poor woman started to go insane, having lost the one person who had mattered so much to her. Much was revealed about Kelly's emotional problems on the day of the funeral, another instance which Dustin refuses to talk about. After the incident Vince decided it was best for him to leave the city, and possibly the region. According to the one letter he sent to Dustin, he was taking up residence in Saffron City for the time being.

When Dustin heard of the new return of Team Galactic he was quick to get involved. He was secretly happy that is brother wasn't there to tell him off again, though he thinks about it day and night, the words that were said to him. He convinced himself that he made the right choice, living in an apartment that was arguably worse than the one he had grown up in, with a job of the lowest quality. What else could he do?

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History:

[Zane] Raticate (Male) <Guts>
Background: Dustin found Zane as a Rattata in his bathroom on one "eventful" evening when he was eleven. He had quickly taken the rat outside and had planned to just completely forget about it, but the next day on his way to school he ran into the rat again. The Rattata followed him around much of that day (forcing Dustin to hide him in his backpack for long periods of time) and eventually Dustin decided he could afford a Pokeball to keep the little guy in. He wasn't that annoying, right? Now a Raticate, Zane is a fierce battler, but still one who absolutely adores his master, perhaps because of most trainers' tendencies to ignore Raticates and their evolutionary relatives.

[Elana] Muk (Female) <Stench>
Background: Another Pokemon found around his neighborhood, Dustin found Elana as a Grimer on one of the streets near his apartment. Earlier that day Dustin had "borrowed" a Great ball from Vince, a much more aspiring Pokemon trainer than Dustin, and seeing the Grimer Dustin decided he should probably use it. At the time Dustin thought it had just been a lucky throw, but afterwards he realized that Elana had been weak already when he had thrown the Great Ball without sending out Zane first. Together Zane and Elana trained, leveling themselves up. Elana evolved a few days before Zane did, making Zane work that much harder.

Other: Hates the nickname "Dusty". I also assumed it was OK for him to have Pokemon not native to Sinnoh in-game, but if that's not allowed I'll change it.

Name: Sol Diamond
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Appearance:

Long dark hair a shade or two short of blue, deep green eyes and tanned. He sports a beard of sorts, a black shirt over a yellow top and a bright red scarf given to him by his father for his trip. He wears black cameo pants and black gloves with the fingers cut off half way in exception for the middle with only the tip cut off. He has three piercings on each ear and carries a large leather bag filled with whatever he could stuff into it.

Picture here

Personality: PO please. Basics to know is he's driven, honest and if pushed far enough can seriously mess you up.

Background:

Raised on a pokemon daycare run by his parents, he had a knack for falling into dangerous situations as a toddler. Being it short of a miracle for him to have survived til now was due to the intervention of a young Houndoom that somehow ended up being the boy's guardian angel when it comes to dragging him out of harms way. Despite his accident prone childhood, he was a happy child that adored his Older sister and would be found sleeping on her lap and clinging around her leg whenever she came back home from her adventures.

As he grew older, she started seeing less of his sister as she ventured further off on her own, making her own way in life with her choices. Saddened that she was drifting away, he would often find himself sitting among the trees on the edge of his parents' property with his Houndoom guardian keeping watch of wild pokemon that might try to attack the clumsy boy and his three pups near by. As the years past, his sister stopped coming back to the Daycare to his and his parents' heart ache, leaving Sol alone with only the pokemon to keep him company when his parents were busy with the Daycare.

He was around twelve when the Galactics tried to capture Acreus, almost causing a disaster that could have ended their very world. He watched as his Father took the task of stopping the gang Leader, only to return with a severe head injury when all was said and done. Now, five years later, the leader had returned and Sol took it upon himself to take his father's place in this chapter of the Gang's plot in hopes of ending it once and for all.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History: (list in the format of:

[Diego] Houndoom (Male) <Flash Fire>
A wise-ass in his youth, he has grown calmer as he became a father of his own and looked after the hide of Sol since the kid's "puppyhood". Staying close to the boy, he took it upon himself to make sure the fool of a clumsy human won't end up falling off the mountain or do something equally as stupid. So he allowed the boy's mother to hand over the pokeball she used when transporting Diego to one of her silly pokemon contests, and started the trek up the mountain at the boy's side.

[Gladus Dos] Porygon Z (Female) <Adaptability>
A quirky Porygon that travelled through many computers with the companionship of a young Rotom, they both caused quite a deal of trouble for humans and pokemon kind when messing with their electronics and computer systems. Seeing as they both were kleptomaniac to some degree, they often would take prizes from their latest 'game'

When she ended up on the Daycare by hopping out of their computer. Interested by what she saw, she decided to stay around in their mainframe and occasionally rearrange the files on the computer to make it neater, run tasks when the humans are bust with other things and watch internet movies when alone with Sol. When her partner in crime popped up again, along side with a Houndoom, she was overjoyed and they once again started to pull pranks on the pokemon around them, often using Sol as a means to hide by making him laugh and distracting the ticked off pokemon.

When Sol started to set out for his mission, she stored herself into his pokedex without his knowledge, planning on surprising him when he reaches the top of the mountain.

[Mischief] Rotom (Male) <Levitate>
A hyper and curious Rotom that travelled through many phone lines with the companionship of a young PorygonZ, they both caused quite a deal of trouble for humans and pokemon kind when messing with their electronics and computer systems. Seeing as they both were kleptomaniac to some degree, they often would take prizes from their latest 'game'

At one point in their travels, Mischief found that he had taken a wrong turn through the phone lines and lost track of his partner. Confused and lost, he floated around aimlessly until he was stumbled upon by a Houndoom. After some time of talking, the Houndoom lead him to the daycare where he was reunited with his partner in crime, hopping back into pulling pranks on the other pokemon with glee.

When Sol headed out for his adventure, Mischief slipped himself into his watch and acts as the boy's alarm clock when he needs to wake up. His main reason for going along with the Boy rested on the facts that his new Houndoom friend and his partner had joined the human on his trip to the top.

Other: He really wishes to see his sister again, hoping to do just that before having to save the world.

Name: Alex "Lex" Orlins
Age: 24
Gender: Male

Appearance: A tall, well-built fellow with short, dark brown hair. Generally wears a Dark green jacket over a red shirt, along with dark brown pants. He has several tattoos on his arms and chest of large, ancient bestial creatures - some resemble pokemon, some are nowhere close - and unless you actually saw him without his jacket on (which is basically in any non-cold environment) you might not even know that he had them. Tends to carry around a "survival bag" with him - that is, a bag filled with whatever you'd imagine will be useful for surviving in the untamed wilds: flint, knife, tent, pots - you name it.

Personality: There are two sides to Lex: one of them is the charming, nice, affable side. It's a side that most people will see of Lex every day. If they spent a few days each week for a month with Lex, there's a good chance that they'd only see that charming side. However, the other side to Lex that the charming personality shields: all it takes is for him to even think someone crossed him, and he jumps from being the charming man to the paranoid, angry man that he really is deep down. Paranoid should be the key, emphasized word here. You could count the number of living beings that he trusts on two hands, and that even wouldn't take too long.

Background: The early part of Lex's life was in the less-than-successful section of Johto. Oh, he and his family were able to live without going hungry each day, but they were never able to get above the "bare minimum" for living. In other words, Lex's family wasn't able to buy any pokemon, nor did they ever travel to the further parts of the world. As for Lex, this resulted in a childhood where his friends were low in number, and they never really approached him at first - where he lived in Johto, pokemon were bought, not given as gifts, so Lex automatically stood out from the rest of the kids. It took some time for him to realize that if your personality is charismatic enough, people will want to be friends with you, no matter how low your social status is. That was a lesson that he would take with him for the rest of his life, and he learned it from watching one kid con another during school, when he was eight.

When Lex was in his early teens, he finally was able to obtain a pokemon: it happened when he was on his way home from a friend's house, and he stumbled (almost literally, in fact) on an injured Cubone. Almost immediately, he brought it home and started helping its recovery, though not without consequence (that is, giving up a portion of his own meals so that the Cubone would get something to survive on). Once it had recovered enough, Lex set out on his journey, hoping to earn something for his family. Though he didn't set out alone: one of his friends, the first he'd made and the one that had stayed friends with him for all the years, went along with Lex - the two together set out with their pokemon in tow.

Well, the years passed, and as with all journeys, Lex's pokemon team grew both in strength and in numbers, eventually totaling four. He wasn't a League-class Trainer, but he was good enough in battles to be able to provide for his family. He was still traveling with his friend when Starr of Team Galactic made her bid for power, which is where things in the life of Lex took something of a downward spiral: Lex and his friend were making an exploration of Mt. Coronet when they ran afoul of a scouting group for Team Galactic. Before either of them could strike at the scouts, the group made the ever so courteous move of collapsing the tunnel that Lex and his friend were in, hoping to keep them from potentially sabotaging the Team's plans. Both Lex and his friend immediately ran for the nearest exit to the mountain's cavern, but Lex injured himself along the way, slowing him down. Lex immediately tried to get his friend to help him, but in the heat of the moment, the friend panicked and instead ran for the cave's exit - Lex would've died then and there, but the actions of his Marowak saved him from being crushed by the falling rocks. Nevertheless, Lex now felt horribly betrayed by who he saw as his closest friend. That was what started this paranoid attitude he carries with him, along with the charming side. From then on, his family and his team would be the only ones that he would trust.

Five years later, Lex was going about his daily life when he learned that the team was yet again making a comeback - yet another attempt for power. Lex decided that he would make it his goal to keep them from obtaining just that - he felt that they were just as responsible for his friend's betrayal as his friend was.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History: (list in the format of:

[Asterion] Marowak (Female) <Rock Head>

Being the first pokemon that Lex found, Lex trusts Asterion more than he trusts the rest of his entire team. On the other side, because Lex saved Asterion's life when she was a young Cubone, Asterion is the most loyal to Lex - more loyal than any other member of his team. It is very likely that if Asterion had to take her own life to make sure Lex would stay alive, she would.

[Doben] Walrein (Male) <Thick Fat>
During his journeys, Lex found himself in the far northern (i.e. arctic) part of the region, and was fishing at a watering hole for a meal when he caught a particularly tasty-looking fish. Unfortunately for him, a local Sealeo saw the fish and beelined for it as Lex was taking it off the line. He nearly got it, too - if Asterion hadn't seen what the Sealeo was about to do and slammed it on the head, Lex would've lost his meal. Nevertheless, he was impressed by the Sealeo's gall, and decided to add him to the team. This particular member of the team is laid-back, and usually used as a defender, or of water-transport.

[Mahcon] Xatu (Female) <Magic Bounce>
Mahcon is the second member that Lex added to his team, and their paths crossed when Lex and his friend were traveling in the Ruins of Alph. The two were ambushed by a wild Natu, and Lex - despite clearly being at a disadvantage with his ground-type - took it on. The battle wasn't particularly long, and it ended with the Natu successfully in Lex's team. Macon acts as both the flyer for the team and as a sort of "voice of reason" for the team - when Lex was left behind by his friend, it was Mahcon that kept him from searching all of the world to find his former friend.

[Boran] Chandelure (Male) <Flash Fire>
One of the more recent additions to Lex's team - he didn't meet it until it was a Lampent, and it happened about a year after Lex was abandoned. Lex and his team were traveling in a house not unlike the infamous Old Chateau (indeed, Lex at first thought it was the Chateau, until he learned that the ghost house was in Sinnoh). While exploring the place, what at first seemed like a chandelier fell at Lex and very narrowly missed him. That chandelier turned out to be a wild Lampent, which had done so in hopes that it would convince Lex and the team to leave his house and leave him alone; Lex instead decided to catch it (again, impressed by its gall). While he's one of Lex's most powerful team members, he also feels more isolated from the rest of the team (particularly Asterion, as she hasn't quite forgiven him for nearly killing Lex).

[Theri] Ariados (Female) <Sniper>

The most recent addition to Lex's team, Lex first met Theri as a predator - she'd spotted Lex's pokemon, and decided one of them would be enough to keep her filled for days. Her first encounter with Lex ended with her as a beaten spider, while Lex continued on his journey. Rather than find a different meal, the Araidos pursued Lex across Johto, encountering him and his team several times every few days, and losing each time. When she eventually confronted Lex on the outskirts of Olivine, Lex decided that it would be much simpler to have her with the team - that way, at least he could keep an eye on the Ariados. Nobody on the team trusts her even the slightest, as they all believe that she'll betray the team if she can benefit from it.

Other: I wonder if the "betraying" friend will be a later character to make...

Name: Daina "Lyric" Jordan
Age: 22
Gender: Female

Appearance: Daina stands easily 5'9", and is wiry to boot. Her skin is covered in various tattoos; tribal patterns down one arm, a musical score down the other, and you can see the beginnings of something vine-esque curling around her shoulder, and a hip tattoo of some sort rising just above her panty-line. She has platinum blond hair naturally, but it's usually dyed. It's dark green with lime streaks this week, cut rather short in the back, but grown out in the front. Her eyes are a most unusual blue-green color. Her usual attire is a black tanktop with some band logo on it and faded skinny jeans, fingerless gloves in varying colors, and above that, glow bracelets.

Personality: I'll be playing this out.

Background: Daina is a native of Lavender town. Ever since she took a childhood visit to neighboring Saffron City, she decided it was too quiet in the little town and decided that she would make it louder. She seemed to show extra special interest in techno music, and set out on her Pokemon journey not to take the gym challenge like most trainers, but to sample the music tastes of the regions, primarily. And she would train in her spare time, getting a sort of taste for battling... though acquired.

Other: ...okay maybe it'll be done in the morning. I gotta think of a backstory.

Name: Mark Remus Chanselor
Age: 25
Gender: Male

Appearance: Mark has dark hair that is always kept neat. He stands about 5'11" and is of an average weight. He tends to dress in nice, professional looking clothes. He will more likely than not be found wearing a brown overcoat over a grey shirt, with kahki pants and black loafers. He almost slways is seen wearing a light brown fedora. Mark has vivid green eyes and wears copper colored wire-rim glasses. Another item of clothing he frequently wears is a grey and black striped scarf, but mainly becuase of the climate difference between Sinnoh and Unova.

Personality: Mark has a very strong curiosity about the world, and loves to investigate and be fascinated by every little detail around him. He tends to get his priorities mixed up, placing research and investigation in front of, say, his better health. Mark is also somewhat antisocial around those he doesn't know. However, he is a very friendly and joyful person around those he knows. He tends to occasionally get caught up in his work or the workings of the world around him. He has a very strong sense of what is right and wrong.

Background: Mark grew up around in Striaton City. From early age he was completely fascinated with the world. As he grew up, he never lost his wonderment with everything around him. He also showed very good intellectual capability, he passed through high school with flying colors. He chose to go to Castelia University to study Mythology. After his first year, he found himself fascinated with the Sinnoh myth of creation. After gaining a degree in Mythology, he decided to transfer to Canalave University to continue his studies. When he was 20, he chose to scale Mt. Coronet and try to reach the Spear Pillar, one of the most widely known and holy sites in all of sinnoh, as well as a revered 'Holy Grail' of mythology, especially when dealing with the Sinnoh creation myth. As he scaled the mountain, he encountered Team Galactic. After fighting his way through a swarm of grunts, he finally reached the summit There, he encountered Starr and the elite forces of Galactic. But he also saw a sight that would remain with him all his life- Arceus, in all His glory, captive of a sinister red, crystalline chain. In that instant, he vowed to do everything in his power to protect the fabled Creator. He saw he was not alone, and he, along with various other trainers, were able to foil Galactic's plans. At least, for the time being. Upon his return, Mark studied the sinnoh myth of creation almost exclusively, as well as anything it might have been linked with. He graduated from Canalave University at 23, and continued to study myth. He learned of a special place in Johto, named the Sinjoh Ruins, a place where the myths of Sinnoh and Johto seemed to mesh perectly. He traveled to Johto and studied along with the Johto Ruin Society for nearly two years. Recently, he overheard rumors of Galactic's revival, and, in fear of another attack, traveled back to Sinnoh to be ready to help when he could. He currently is staying at a hotel in Canalave, frequently visiting the Library.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History

[Hera] Audino (Female) <Healer>
Mark's first pokemon, and a friend throughout his childhood. He caught her just outside of Striaton in the Dreamyard, seemingly by chance. His method of finding her was strange in itself, though. He thought he had seen the shadow of a pokemon, one he'd never seen. he ran after it, but fell into a hole and fell to the ground floor of the abandoned building, scraping his knee and cutting his leg. He laid crying for a few minutes, until an Audino came up to him and, perhaps feeling sorry for him, healed him. He was able to make his way out of the yard, and the Audino followed him out. He later caught her as his first pokemon.

[Ares] Staraptor (Male) <Intimidate>
When Mark first arrived in the Sinnoh region, he encountered a Starly. He caught it and decided to train it, perhaps as a tribute to the Sinnoh region. The Starly soon evolved into a Staraptor. Mark has always been able to depend on Ares in a fight ever since he got him.

[Hermes] Absol (Male) <Super Luck>
As Mark scaled Mt. Coronet, he reached an entrance that led to a few patches of grass on the mountain. As he hiked, searching for the path to the summit, an Absol tackled him, knocking him down. Fearing for his life, Mark stood up and tried to back away. The Absol continued to follow him. Mark was forced to catch the pokemon. However, as soon as he did, he saw that the Absol had warned him of a sheer cliff face that mark had not seen because of the blinding snow, and had nearly walked off of. He called out the Absol and thanked him, and then continued walking with the pokemon by his side. The two became friends fast after the incident.

[Apollo] Misdreavus (Male) <Levitate>
A pokemon caught by Mark while he was in Johto. As he traveled the region, looking for sites of ancient myth that may have been related to Arceus, He happened to hear about the Embedded Tower. Deciding it was worth a visit, Mark traversed Routes 47 and 48, passing through Cliff Cave. As he did, a Misdreavus began pestering him from the moment he entered the cave. Irritated, he caught him to make him stop. Since his capture, though, Mark has grown somewhat close to Apollo, and the two are now good friends.

Other: Nothing much. I can add in personalities for the pokemon later, if needed. I mainly want to be finished with the majority of the form. I also might make a sprite if I have time.

RTB/Exo: Very good~ in~

We'll start...today or tomorrow sometime, whenever i can concentrate on not being a huge derp

Name: Arin Thomas Andrews
Age: barely 18
Gender:

Appearance: Arin is a bit thicker than some people, but he's taller than the average guy so it's balances out slightly. He's boyish in the face, cleanshaven and dimply. His hair, long enough to cover the tops of his ears, is a medium blond color. His eyes are hazel.
Arin's clothes are mostly dark cargo pants and warmly-colored vest-and-t-shirt combos. He likes to have pockets, both to store things in and to jam his hands into. The vests often have at least one pocket as a result, in addition to the innumerable pockets each of his pants have in them. Oddly enough, he carries his pokéballs not in these pockets but minimized, on a magnetic necklace that he keeps under his shirts. He does, though, keep empty pokéballs (as well as paper clips, lint, and Unovan heart-shaped candy he's addicted to) in the pockets. He also has a traditional, Kantoan pokédex in his possession, and a red-and-silver analog watch on his left wrist.

Personality: Curious to a fault but considerate about personal feelings, Arin is easy to annoy because he doesn't tend to hide his weak points. His anger is mostly suppressed, limited to mumbling under his breath and clenched fists. This may mean, however, that he will kick you eight ways to sunday if you make him finally blow his top. He talks a lot when he's happy.

Arin has a bit of an inferiority complex, and hates to be interrupted or mocked. He does his best whenever he does soemthing, and takes amazing care of his pokémon. He knows quite a lot about them, as well, since he researches the creatures habitually.

Background: Arin's a Cinnabar man; He grew up on the island, catching krabby and flipping them over to mess with their heads with all the other kids. He was always kind of in the shadow of his older brother, Joel Andrews, who was a successful tournament trainer, in his early twenties at about the time when Arin was eleven. Joel had just set out for another tournament, this one off in Hoenn somewhere, when the young man was assaulted by the mysterious static creature that had been seen around. Although a fantastic trainer, Joel had only three pokemon with him and the attack was very sudden, KOing the wailmer he was on and, horrifically, removing almost all of his right arm. There was no blood; the wound had cauterized immediately as the pokémon had attacked. A swift Aura Sphere from one of Joel's pokémon scared the thing into nothingness, and his remaining two powerful teammates carried him back to shore. Arin's mother freaked out, and both she and his father wanted to fly out and kill whatever had done this to their first son, but Joel assured them that it would be useless. Arin cried for a little bit and then helped his brother pick a prosthetic out of a catalog and got to touch the stump after a few weeks of medical care. It was cool.

Arin's always been a bit more intellectual than he looks, and his brother's encounter embedded within him a deep interest in the so-called glitch pokémon. Little information was available, though, so it's been left mostly unattended until just now. Arin began traveling a while ago, more recently arriving at the Canalave Library in Sinnoh and visiting Iron Island for a bit. He had heard about the glitch sightings and rushed off to the region when he heard it was a hotspot, but no luck so far. Then Team Fashion Disaster lady was back and at the mountain and Arin just had to see what was up with that. Plus it was a chance to evolve something finally.

Pokemon Team/Pokemon History:

[Ruishi] Arcanine (♂) <Flash Fire>
Ruishi is about as old as Arin himself; they grew up together, puppy and boy turned dog and man. Like all of his breed, Ruishi is fiercely loyal, although he long ago grew out of the common bite-anyone-who-isn't-you phase of growlithe development. Having been bred from your standard stock of purebred arcanine, Ruishi is the picture of a well-raised arcanine as specified by the Catalog of Pokémon Species. He's about six feet tall, three and a half hundred pounds, with orange-red fur and cream mane. He's happy as a lapras to carry people about, if Arin likes you. Generally carries around a lava cookie on his necklace. Lives in a premier ball.

[Maddie] Primeape (♀) <Vital Spirit>
Caught as a mankey when Arin was around twelve. She's determined to the point of single-mindedness but she generally listens well, especially for a primeape. She has the normal reservoir of anger that her kind has, but her temper is a little more tempered than average. Wears an Expert Belt around herself like a sash. She lives in a normal poké ball.

[Hematite] Nosepass (♀) <Magnet Pull>
A thin, pointy, and grey Hoenn nosepass, Hematite is silently curious and often steals thing from people for a little while. A defensive battler who doesn't often attack until you're right next to her, she can't wait until she'll be able to float about freely. Has a Steel Plate attached to her back. Lives in a heavy ball.

[Bobble] Drifloon (♂) <Unburden>
An airy little orb of ghostly rubber, Bobble is a pretty small drifloon with long heartstrings. He has a Spell Tag always fluttering like a ponytail behind him. He enjoys grabbing peoples' wrists and linking them together with one another. He lives in a great ball.

[Reno] Gastrodon-e (♀) <Storm Drain>
An even more recent catch, Reno acts as the team swimmer and tank. She's sweet and hard to bother but isn't afraid to fight back when she can. She's an eastern-born gastrodon and as a result has to little bulbish things by her ears and is a nice blue color. She surprisingly fast, especially due to the quick claw wedged into her back. Lives in a heal ball.
