SO Black finally came in the mail today. In about 6 hours of playing I am now up to Lenora's gym and totally hating the level-grindingness. If they're going to make us grind to level 12+ for the first gym and 20+ for the second, why would they only make level 7 and 17, respectively, the highest level of wild Pokemon available nearby... especially with the new EXP formula? Gah I just want to bop the designers on the head so hard.

(I'm going to periodically edit/update this post, rather than add new ones, because that's just kind of spammy.)

I started with Snivy (WELL NO SHIT) and I love his little animation where he folds his arms and taps his foot so damn much. I wish he didn't lose his limbs upon evolution, but his evolved forms are even more awesome so that makes up for it.

He keeps them, or at least his hands. They're folded behind his back.

I realized all too late that Growth increases both Att. and Sp.Att. :'(

Favorite so far. Kicks ass against most everything except Bugs and Flyers.

Lv.23 Blitzle (Flame Charge/Charge/Shock Wave/Thunder Wave)
As an afterthought, I want to name it "Pretzel" so I can say "Pretzel the Blitzle."

They're the only ones that have really grabbed me, looks and battle-wise thus far. Almost got stuck on a Tympole, but it got old fast.
Was also working with a Herdier for a while, but Sawk wound up trumping it in every way that mattered.
Oh! And, of course, I nabbed Victini. In a Heal Ball.

I got it Monday. The best music award goes to Accumula Town cos you go up to the house and you talk to the people and they play their instruments and it sounds beautiful. The rival battle music sounds like Mario RPG music.

So Doryuuzu - Most overpowered or Mostest overpowered?
In my White playthrough way back when I used a good 'ol Crocostyle so I never bothered with a mole. Apparently this was a mistake; training one is a little slow on the upkeep (so delicate in the earlier levels) but this gally bulldozes /everything/. No pun intended when she's actually doing so with the move Bulldoze. Hold back evolution till 33 and you get a natural Earthquake, game over. Claw Sharpen, Earthquake and Rock Slide will pretty much be straight sweep for anything. (And the accuracy++ from sharpen even covers the CPU is a cheating bastard and Rock Slide has 85 accuracy factor!) Top that off the Steel subtyping basically makes it immune to dying.
Then on top of its bitchin' typing and stats it can double its speed in the most common weather making it a nigh unstoppable powerhouse in competitive too.
Gamefreak still trollin' and molein'.


Anyway may as well update while I'm here. I'm in.. what'sit.. Twist Mountain. I quite dislike this place, but eh. :V Kinda cruising along nicely, I suppose. Team status is:

Now I'm in Nimbasa! Getting ready to do the gym there. I was trying to level up a little bit before the gym since I don't know what the leader's levels are, but... Oh well. I'm going in anyway~ I like this city, too, and the bike seems really fast. The city music gets on my nerves after a little while, though..
Also, I got my sister to trade with me so I could get Gigalith :D
