Onko was startled by something in the bushes. She carefully looked.
Is that... Is that really?
One of Xaicra's minions had hidden there. She pretended not to notice, but then ambushed the minion with a Flame Wheel. It turned out to be a Graveler, however. Quickly she screeched, "Attack, everyone!" Just at that moment, more minions came out of the bushes.
When the Graveler turned towards her, it attempted to hit her with a Rock Slide. Apparently so, because the Rock Pokemon staggered backwards. It then seemed to charge up energy.
Suddenly, the ground shook with a Magnitude. Onko was lucky it was of low power, because otherwise the base could have collapsed.
The Chimchar then thrashed about, using Counter. As she punched the Graveler over and over, it weakened severely. Then, she threw a final punch. It hit her enemy hard, and the Graveler then fainted.
Then light surrounded Onko. She began to grow a bit bigger, and her arms were lengthened.
She had evolved.

Manmuu watched Onko attack the Graveler with an amazing Counter attack. Manmuu had been shaken, but not injured, by the weak Magnitude. Then, light enveloped the Chimchar as she evolved into Monferno. "Nice, Onko!" he shouted as he swung an Ice Fang at an approaching Tangela. The ball of vines leaped at the Mamoswine and attached itself to it. Mega Drain! Manmuu flailed and managed to swipe the annoying Pokemon off with a tusk, and then yell, "Watch out, everyone!" as he activated an Earthquake that would strike all enemies in the area.

Onko jumped at Manmuu's warning. Now that she had evolved, she could jump much higher. But then a Scizor came and barreled into her, knocking her out of the air. The two Pokemon landed, the Scizor pinning Onko down. She moved her arms just enough so that she could push the Scizor off with a Flame Wheel. The wimp fell back, but struck Onko with a Metal Claw.
She thought, One more Flame Wheel should do it. The newly-evolved Monferno slammed into the Bug/Steel Pokemon with flames, and defeated it. Too easy.
Onko jumped at Manmuu's warning. Now that she had evolved, she could jump much higher. But then a Scizor came and barreled into her, knocking her out of the air. I heard the sound of a crash, and a yell.
It can only mean...
"He's here." I whispered.
I teleported to where the sounds of battle were coming from. As I reached the battle, a Rhyperior moved in to attack. I quicklly seized the pokemon, and blasted him with Dark Pulse. He fell to the ground, dead.
"One Down."
Before I could help other Team Light, more pokemon- a good third of them magmortar- came to surround me.
"Okay, let's get this going."

I teleported to where the sounds of battle were coming from. As I reached the battle, a Rhyperior moved in to attack. I quicklly seized the pokemon, and blasted him with Dark Pulse. He fell to the ground, dead.

"Well then... Let's dance!" Grin chuckled as he and Scyther dashed at eachother. They locked blades and they locked vision. Grin swept his left foot, which was behind his right foot, around the Scyther, causing it to fall forward and stagger.
Grin thrust his blade, which was enhanced by a Psycho Cut, into the Scyther's back, deeply. Grin then wrenched it out and kicked the Scyther corpse to the ground.
Pity... He seemed quite experienced... That was boring...

Grin turned around and saw a small platoon of several Zangoose, Sceptile, and Scizor.
He started a Swords Dance...

Artemis heard yelling and fighting. She shook her head, still groggy, and ran out of the base. Just as she did, a Golem careened into her, roaring. Knocked backwards, she gasped for breath and got back up. She slashed in the air, shooting a blade of light into it. The huge Pokemon flew backwards into the trees. She wasn't sure if it was knocked out, or worse. She was too shocked by the sudden battle to care.

I blasted a magmortar away with Shadow Ball, teleported behind another before hitting it with Shadow Punch. Two more fell before Dark Pulse.
The remaining pokemon- Two Ursaring, a Flygon, and an Armaldo- began to attack. Unprepared for the Armaldo's rock blast, I hit the ground.
I didn't stay there for long, though, using shadow sneak to catch the offending Armaldo unawares, and snap his neck.
The Ursaring didn't last much longer after I hit them with a full-powered Shadow Ball.
That left the flygon, who i began to rapidly teleport around, attacking him every time. Eventually, the attacks became too much, and he cllapsed, dead.
"These aren't the elite," i muttered, "This can only be the first wave."

Just then, two Zangoose leaped onto Onko. They slashed her over and over. When Onko finally gained control of herself again, she used Fury Swipes on the less wary one, temporarily knocking it back. Her shoulder suddenly was jabbed by pain, and she saw it was bleeding. It was nothing compared to this life-or-death battle, so she turned to the other Zangoose, hitting it with a Brick Break and knocking its breath out. As it writhed on the ground, the first Zangoose jumped at Onko, but she was able to spin around and slam into it with a fist. Mach Punch.
With both Zangoose severely injured, she calmed herself a bit, and then gathered her fire, letting loose a Flame Wheel on both Pokemon at once. One of the Zangoose tried to flee, while the other lay on the ground, dead. The living Zangoose, however, was slow, and Onko could easily kill it with another Mach Punch.

After Manmuu's Earthquake, some enemies were killed. Then he heard Zrantox say something about the "first wave." No wonder these Pokemon were so easy. Two Aggron and a Lairon approached Manmuu. One of them charged him with Iron head, but he easily swiped it away with a single hoof-paw. It was stunned long enough for Manmuu to hurl a gigantic, life-taking Mud Bomb at the other two Steel Pokemon. "Remember, team: This will only get harder." The Aggron came towards the Mamoswine again, but he reacted fast enough to use Endure. He struck it with Ice Fang to dispatch it.

After the defeat of the Zangoose that left Onko bleeding, she was tired. But the battle was not over. Two Poliwrath and three Kabutops all jumped around her, forming a circle and surrounding her. But Onko still had a strategy.
The Kabutops attempted to slash her, but Onko leaped, and whirled around with a sharp, spinning Double Kick that sent them all flying backward. She yelled to Team Light, "Come on! We have to defeat our enemy!"
The Pokemon all got nearer to her. One of the Poliwrath sent out a strong Water Gun, hitting Onko with a direct hit. She lay on the ground, but got back up with some effort. "Come and get me," she taunted. "You know I'm a sitting Psyduck."
The Kabutops seemed to fall for it. They all dashed around her, in the same circle, but came with lots of velocity. Onko then did another one of her spinning kicks, but this time the power was higher because of the opposite force that the Kabutops applied. One of them was dead. But the Monferno still had four Pokemon to deal with. She sent a Mach Punch at one of the Poliwrath, hitting it square in its circle and stunning it. But while Onko was regaining her energy, the other Poliwrath slammed into her with a Submission. The Monferno flew backward, but managed to regain her footing before she hit a thick tree. She charged at the Poliwrath with a Counter, killing it.

The enemies that stood before Grin were sent to the next life and left laying on the floor. "That was messy... Hehehe... A bunch of noobs..." Grin was about to go help his teammates, until another small battalion of Pokemon arrived.
"You guys just don't know when to quit, do you? Well fine then. I'll kill you all..."
Grin whipped out his blades and rushed at the first enemy. "Dead."
He swept to the side and stabbed another. "Dead."
He blocked a punch and nailed someone in the face. "Dead."
The Pokemon that were left backed up a bit, their faces in awe.
Grin just laughed maniacally. "Hahahaha! Go ahead, attack me! Make me stronger! I'll kill you all without a care in the world!"
Grin started a Swords Dance that led to the deaths of the rest of the battalion.
Another maniacal laugh erupted as he saw more enemies emerge.
He had to admit. He was becoming a bit insane.
I must keep winning to save the world. The Light thinks they're dominant and noble, but where there is too much light, there is corruption... The Lightstruck thinks they're heroes, but they are just as bad as the Dark... In order to truly save this pathetic world, neither can exist. I will save this world... even at the cost of my life and many others... For Arceus!!!

"Onko!" he yelled as he charged through them, hitting them all with Ice Fang. He would try to save the low-energy Monferno, even if it cost him his life. He soon reached Onko. "I'll help you fight," Manmuu told her as he swiped away another enemy with Mud Bomb.

"This is getting more intense," i said, "My guess is this is the thrid wave."
Xaicra will keep his elite to the very end. Like it matters, I thought He knows that I, as a Hand, will probably be matched only by him.
I cannot lose after coming this far. The Hand would not approve of someone such as myself falling to the enemy.

When the battle started, Kester had practically flew out of the bush, slicing open a Ninetales' neck, and had continued on, alternating between slashing at those that got too close and firing volleys of Shadow Ball with no real target, only the mass of enemy pokemon.
Suddenly, a Zangoose ran at him, intent on attacking him with X-Scissor. Kester easily sidestepped the blow and extended his arm, skewering the minion on his claws. He had barely turned around when a Scyther came rushing at him, blades ready to slash. Quickly, Kester threw a Shadow Ball to stun the mantis, before leaping at him and stabbing his throat, leaving it to slump on the ground.
He heard a whirling sound and whirled to find the source of the noise, and found an Absol charging a Razor Wind. Taking advantage of its momentary helplessness, the Zangoose, rushed forward, his fist glowing white. He pulled back and let loose the Dynamicpunch, the force of the blow shattering the Absol's skull.
Killing a Kecleon that had crept too close to him, he dimly realized that he should make his way towards the others. He began fighting through the mass of warriors, killing any that got in the way, using Poison Jab to dispatch most of them.
He had just finished off an Onix that had popped up in front of him with Giga Drain when he saw a Gallade-this one was Grin, wasn't it?-tearing apart rank after rank of enemy pokemon, laughing manically as he did so. I'd say he's been Swords Dancing one too many times... Judging that the Gallade needed no help, he pointed himself in a different direction, and saw a line of Eeveelotiouns and Dodrios. That's as good as any. Kester gathered electricity in his palms, and then sprinted at breakneck speed, aided by his Quick Attack, and carved a path through the enemy lines, the Shock Wave electrocuting everyone in the line of fire.
Seeing Onko and Manmuu through a Mismagius, he tore apart the unknowing opponent, the Shadow Claw dispersing its essence. Kester then joined Manmuu and the Monferno, nodding at the Mamoswine.

A Banette lept at me, attempting to strike me down as I was fighting with an Aggron, I lashed out Shadow Punch, and tore open its mouth, forcing tthe enrgies that constituted it to leave the doll, and disperse.
The Banette's husk collapsed.
I whirled to face the Aggron. It tried to strike me with Metal claw, but I caught its arm, and snapped it. As it roared in pain, I powered up a Dark Pulse, and struck it dead on in the chest. It collapsed to the ground, dead.
"There's no end to these," i muttered, "I've lsot track of what wave we're fighting
A Banette lept at me, attempting to strike me down as I was fighting with an Aggron, I lashed out Shadow Punch, and tore open its mouth, forcing tthe enrgies that constituted it to leave the doll, and disperse.
The Banette's husk collapsed.
I whirled to face the Aggron. It tried to strike me with Metal claw, but I caught its arm, and snapped it. As it roared in pain, I powered up a Dark Pulse, and struck it dead on in the chest. It collapsed to the ground, dead.
"There's no end to these," i muttered, "I've lsot track of what wave we're fighting

Manmuu turned his head to see Kester. The Zangoose nodded at him, which was enough to tell the Mamoswine what was going on. He Endured harsh attacks from an Infernape, and in between Close Combats Manmuu saw his chance. The vulnerable Pokemon was killed with a simple Mud Bomb. Then, many more Pokemon--too many to count-- surrounded the three Pokemon. The Ice/Ground type turned to look at his teammates. "I suggest you jump as high into the air as you can," he said to Onko and Kester. Then he triggered an Earthquake that dispatched or fainted all of the enemies around him.

Onko gathered her energy and sprang up and over the enemies into the base. She later returned with a Sitrus berry, which she ate right up.
Even with Manmuu's Earthquake, one last Kabutops was still standing. Onko quickly killed the weakened Pokemon with a Mach Punch.
But there were still more enemies coming. A Swampert targeted Onko with Muddy Water. She barely avoided the brown wave, and came down on the Swampert's head with Brick Break. However, the Swampert was sturdy, and managed to hit Onko with a Mud Bomb. The Monferno flew back, hitting the ground back-first. But she managed to get up, and hit the Swampert with Mach Punch right in the chest, then fired a Flame Wheel and killed the Water-type.
