Closed The Ruins of Alph

Rurenai glared coldly at the Smeargle, not wanting to reply and get into any argument. But then the Glameow started to say the same thing, and he found he had to reply.

"I d-didn't have much of a choice... Humans shooting at me... everywhere... T-tried to hide in cleaner places, but they found me... I guess they figured I'd die in here with a wound this severe..." he panted, "It looks as if they may be right..." A dull sensation of pain and numbness at the same time overtook his paw; an odd, unpleasant feeling he couldn't describe.

...Might as well answer the Smeargle's questions too if he were going to reply to the Glameow.

"A gun, I think is what it's called... One of the humans managed to hit me... It's... a few hours old..."

"Of course," Coldfoot remarked, "naturally, he's got another personality. Wish I had that excuse. Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to steal the paintbrushes, it was my split personality! Ah, crap, did I draw that on your wall? It was my other personality! My evil self assaulted you and Sketched all of your moves, not me. Forgive me for killing your friend, that was my dark side. Why didn't I think of that?"

"Because you blamed me instead," Alec suggested, and walked over to the ninetales to look more closely at the wound.

"Hours? You sure you didn't pass out some time between getting it and now?" He sniffed it, but his sense of smell was also naturally weakened. "Take a hint. I told you that fire cleans wounds. On most pokemon it'd close 'em, too, but you're special. Sorry about that. On the plus side, you can clean it a lot more than the rest of us could. You can maybe go with the schizo later into a city for some food, right now the poison destroying your leg is going to get to the rest of you. Maybe you can find something to close the hole, even. There isn't something left inside, is there?"

Rurenai weakly shook his head 'no'.

"As far as I know, there's not... The metal thing... got loosened from all my running... I saw it fall out..."

'Take a hint'. It was worth a try, at least. He took a small breath, then turned his head at a rather uncomfortable angle and blew fire into the wound. The dull pain faded; it was probably the toxins. Soon, the wound was just numb. Sweet relief.

After a little longer, he stopped. Now, the skin around the wound looked quite a bit less red, although the fur was slightly singed away. He rose slowly to his feet, making sure to keep the bulk of his weight off of that leg.

Yua looked down as the Ninetales blew flames onto his wound.

"Humans chasing us around...", she solemnly said, "Is that why we're all here...?"

Yua looked back up and saw the Ninetales trying to stand, "Are you sure you can stand? Do you think your leg is broken or cracked?", he asked.

After hearing Yua speak, Henrietta emerged from behind the mound. "Not necessarily, my friend. I abandoned my human before he had the chance. They are quite burdensome, yes?" She pawed softly towards her.

Fero heard other pokemon explain what brought them to the ruins, and decided to share his own backstory.

"I was born to become a Hunter. It was and, at some points, still is my reason for living. I mentioned earlier an incident that gave me this personality, correct? That incident was what caused the humans to hate me. I went out of control, killed many pokemon and humans alike... and the humans marked me for death."

And I never regretted a second of it.

"A... burden? Well, they could be.", Yua said to the Mightyena, "I've seen a lot that fit that description. My own wasn't too bad, but things change..."

She took a deep breath, then extolled her own tale, "Along with my two sisters, I lived with an Espeon named Ferran, who proved to be my master's most prized Pokemon. He always came home with pretty ribbons. Then, one day, I walked out of our room, and spotted... his... corpse. I don't think you could even... recognize him. Master came home, and, seeing me next to Ferran's dead body, must've... assumed I killed him. He tried to kill me, and I ran, of course."

She added after another deep breath, "I... don't know what drew me here, though. It's not a pleasant place in the least."

Yua looked around, sensing more Pokemon. She noticed an Espeon... but this one was... Pregnant?, she thought, averting her gaze before tears could well up in her eyes.

They aren't very familiar at all. That would be natural, considering I've only just met you. Naso quickly skimmed over the basic details of both Rein and the kitten.

Hm... This other one, the one who cannot communicate, it seems very young. Unborn, in fact.

Sorry, I guess everyone must be bugging you with questions. I think I would've spotted it right away, but I'm not used to seeing mammilian Pokemon. I've mostly been around Xatu, and they lay eggs. Or, rather, I laid eggs.

"Tisk, tisk." Henrietta forced back a smile. "Too bad? You must be joking. Why, any human who would pass judgment that quickly, and even worse, try to kill you..." She tisked again. "And you, Drapion or whatever your name is, I can see why the humans would hate you." Henrietta sneered. "Not that I'm completely innocent..."

Edward jumped down from his perch on the car and started padding carefully though the garbage and junk, using his metal paw to shove dangerous objects aside. He crushed a needle under the foot, slinking towards the Espeon. He would need a mate to carry on his bloodline, and she was very attractive indeed. The kit might be a problem, however... But he could just kill it if he needed too, to make room for his own young.

He smiled charmingly to her, then looked around to the others.

"I don't care where you came from, all I know if that you are here now. The ruins will serve as our... base of operations... until we can overthrow our oppressors. We scavenge for food in this dump. Understand?" He said, his eyes gleaming in the noonday sun.

"'Overthrow our oppressors?' We like the way you think," Fero said. Turning to the Mightyena, he continued, "I, or rather my murderous side, do not really care about what the humans think of me... us. We now have an excuse to kill them. As he said before, the blood of more beings makes no difference to him."

"I suppose that's why I'm here.", Yua replied, "Like I said, things change... But, um, enough about such things."

She then noticed the Persian walking over. His leg really was made of metal, and it was quite scary up close. Other features included various scars, and a braid of fur, something she'd seen before on contest Persians.

He then talked of overthrowing oppressors. Oppressors?, Yua thought. That certainly wasn't what she had in mind. Her own goal was to find Ferran's real killer. Yua thought about what the Mightyena said, Well... I'm pretty sure it was a human that killed him...

In any case, I'd better go along..., she added, not wanting to tangle with the rather intimidating Persian.

"U-understood...", she told him, bowing her head and somewhat speaking up to make sure she was heard.

Halan watches Edward move along the ground toward the Espeon, only able to geuss what was on the cat's mind. He shakes his head, a soft chuckle escaping him.

As tough as you try to be...you can never harm a child, Edward. Don't even pretend that you would.

He slips off of the car and follows Edward, arms folded and silent as the grave. He glances around the dump absent minded. He studied the heaps of trash and the smell of rotting remains of someone's meal. He shakes his head at the wastefulness of the human waste.

I wonder what human flesh tastes like...

Halan looks to the heavens, wondering if he has truly gone insane from being dumpster dog all this time. If he didn't watch out, he might develop a split personality like others he knows. He listens to what Edward said about living and food and oppressors. Halan then has a thought.

Maybe I could sneak into a human town and steal some food for the gang...hm. I'll talk to Ed later.

((because my computer ate the post I tried to make before, Kai is ins!

...oh what you wanted content? well too bad))

Blaise listened as the huge, partially-metallic Persian spoke, perking his ears up at the cat's voice.

At the mention of 'scaveng(ing) for food in this dump', the shiny Growlithe had to speak up.

"Umm, sir, this dump sems to be mainly made of human contraptions. The only food I've seen so far was that banana," Blaise began respectfully, bowing his head in respect of the powerful-looking Persian. "Not to be rude, but there doesn't seem to be enough food to feed all of us, especially with a pregnant member."

Blaise gulped after his long speech, and conciously attempted to make eye contact with the cat, controlling his weak primal irritation at cats.

Rein was just about to reply to the Xatu, but then she saw the Persian that had talked to her earlier coming towards her. She ended the conversation with a brief,

'Thank you for the conversation. It was very nice. My name is Rein, by the way.'

Then she turned to the Persian. He smiled at her. And Rein just stared confused. 'What...?'

Then it was the stomach ache from earlier, and she hadn't had anything to eat either. Her stomach growled.

"... I'm hungry."

((Short post is failshort. My brother's gonna steal the computer from me now, so I had to rush a little.))

((YOU GUYS MOVE FAST O.O

Fero in this case is based on
Hidan and Zetsu))

Cool. I've kinda noticed Zetsu has a split personality (as shown on his face), so hopefully you're following that xD
))

Yuurah approached the dark wall and curled his claws around the corner.

I can scent some... but I'm not hungry for just a cat. I need a rat... yes, a rat....

(I've just found an awesome new voice for this guy.)

He pricked one ear up to listen. Were they talking... or shuffling...? Some small prey would work....

(Somehow I imagine him move like a spider, if you get what I mean.)

But he wasn't hungry for a cat or a dog or an insect. A Raticate felt good about now... but he could only get those as soon as the house was abandoned. Yes, the house needed to be abandoned...

He poked his head around the corner, tail feathers twitching.

Overthrowing? That sounded bad.. what exactly would that entail? More fighting? Nina shivered. And it didn't sound like he meant only some humans.. all of them? No way. She had misunderstood. But still, there was no way she would do that! But..
They'll think I'm a traitor if I say that I don't want to kill them.
Carefully thinking over how to word this, she sat up and said rather quietly to the Pokemon with the metal leg (a Persian or Purugly, maybe),
"Overthrow? As in.. kill them? All of them? But.. they have guns. We'd all just die before we could accomplish anything.."
And.. I just want my trainer.. maybe if I get better at fighting he"ll want me again.. but not if I hurt humans.

Yuurah's ears pricked. If "they" had guns, were the Pokemon talking about... humans?

Yes, humans... his claws slowly clacked on the side of the building. Give mercy only to those who deserve it... those who did something wrong get no mercy.... Clack, clack, clack.

The Weavile waited to see if they would notice him.

Clack, clack, clack. The noise was getting quieter.

He ran his free claw through his feathers. The other went clack, clack, clack.

The reality of what the Persian was planning hit Yua when the Jolteon mentioned death.

"I'm afraid...", Yua said, "she's right. I'm sure some of us are capable in that respect, but some of us might not be... fit for battle."
Especially not me..., she added mentally.
